I would like to share my experience about working on upwork as freelancer. Upwork is doing the best to make a great platform to support both freelancers and clients. It made great helpful update form the system during the covid 19 to help freelancer to get paid faster and to handle their other clients outside the platform. Thank you very much

Upwork platform is a great place to work. I have been working there for several years and the connection between clients and contractors is very easy. Of course, the fee for the first 500$ earned with a client is 20% and it is a bit high, it offers a solid platform to work in. And also it incentives the long term work because the fees are being reduced once you grow up with a client.
Also, it offers a nice place to ger and gives feedbacks that allow contractors to find easily experts with a lot of work done.
I tested other platforms like Workana, Guru, and Freelancer, but Upwork is much better than those platforms.

Upwork is a great platform for freelancers and their support is amazing. I have worked on other platforms but their support was not so good. I had a couple of issues in this week but their support got my back.

I've worked through a handful of platforms and Upwork is the only resource I continually use. The work is plentiful, but just as importantly, I feel protected as a freelancer in Upwork. The system is built to ensure a fair and accountable flow of work. That's important to me! If you're looking for steady clientele, Upwork is a smart choice.

Do not trust the freelancers reviews on Upwork. They can delete reviews which they don't like. We worked with an 'expert' and he did not deliver anything. He promised and promised and in the end he promised to give us our money back but he didn't. The project was canceled but on his profile it was 'finished' and it did NOT have an effect on his 'job success rate'. In reality that guy is the worst person ever and a scam. Unfortunately we did not receive any help from Upwork's customer service when we lost our money. Either way, you will have to pay. Worst company ever!

This is a great platform to get jobs online. I have only had good experience with all the clients that I have worked for and I would never have got the opportunity to link with the variety of work that is on offer without being part of this platform. The pay is not always the greatest, but I'm glad to get the work.

Best platform for me as a freelancer. Gives support at every step. Encourages to build business. Upwork is a platform where one can make a bid and also can make gigs. Most of other websites gives only one function at a time.

Many freelancers that are operating on Upwork are not being very truthful when it comes to their profiles and work experiences posted. They are using fake profiles and fake information about their work skills and abilities.

Upwork don't seem to care less about all the deceptive and false information on the profiles of their freelancers. Profiles posted are not being audited for accuracy by Upwork.

The freelancer you hire may not really be honest about their skills, when you complain to Upwork about the poor work performed or a job that is not complete they just don't care, in fact Upwork will not even make a decision in any dispute. It's up to the customer to work it out with the freelancer so you will end up losing your your money.

When things go bad on a job Upworks terms and conditions covers all scenarios for the themselves very well.

Don't Waste Your Time and Money on Upwork, it seems UpWork is the new chosen platform for those Nigerian scammers to operate from.

I really like this platform. I found some great freelancers to outsource some of my extra works. It is easy to set up profile, post job and hire the right freelancer from 100s of bids. Hasslefree process.

I am using Upwork for 8 months as a freelancer and found the following

1.95% of the clients are professional
2. This platform supports freelancer as well as client equally
3. Applying to the job using connects is the best part of it to minimizing the spam and filter out the best freelancer.

I have been using Upwork for a few weeks now, and I have to say I like how it creates an easy platform for freelancers to showcase their work and connect to quality clients. I can easily create a portfolio of all of my work, and can apply to as many jobs as I feel I have the expertise to perform.

I had a great time working at Upwork, the flexibility, you can work anywhere with a laptop and internet connection. Their website is so detailed and and you can see each any anything related to your work.

Suddenly one day they suspended my account permanently and blocked my funds.
I worked hard on Upwork to improve my rating to top rated and I was on the way to be top rated, however they suspended my account blocking my funds.
No reason was cited for suspension of my account.
I am highly disappointed with their action and also concerned about my funds earned.
I am planning to take legal action against Upwork if I get good support from freelancers who have affected by abrupt suspension of account by Upwork.

Upwork is very helpful for me. It does a fair job for the Freelancer and the client. That's why many freelancer saying that is very difficult to get a job on Upwork, too high fee. But for me it's reasonable. Yes at the beginning it's difficult but when you finally get the magic trick on how to get client it's gonna be a flood or pool of clients. Same thing for the clients. It's easy to to get a freelancer because they have a automatic sending invites for the qualified VA's you're looking for. Many thanks to upwork! I don't need to worry anymore to get my clients.

Best freelancing site ever. You find the work you love, get selected for the work and that is it. New vacancies are constantly being added, honest reviews are always written. If you are looking for a job then this platform is perfect for you!

I've been working on Upwork for over ten years from its inception and Elance before that. I've had many good clients as well as a few not so good. Upwork leans toward supporting its clients a bit more than supporting the freelance workers. However, once you learn how to engage with the clients, that becomes less and less of an issue. The goal is to win the loyalty of the clients and build a client base that keeps coming back to you. Upwork encourages you to do that. If I can single out one thing that Upwork could do better, it's to vet their client base better and get rid of undesirables.

Upwork has gotten better since it went public. They have realized that their freelancers are as much a customer as their clients that post jobs.

Upwork is the best marketplace at this time. Having much opportunity for a professional freelancer who has the best skill. One thing is more appreciable which is Upwork payment system is secured and reliable.
