This so called "florist" totally embarrassed me on my special day. She, originally, seemed professional and kind, but when it came to my wedding day I was in for a huge shock. She told me that she would be there early and have plenty of time to build all of the arrangements as planned... now, trust me, I am not a picky person. I do not usually write reviews unless they are positive. This woman was so unprepared that she was even pinning my husbands corsage onto his lapel while he had already walked down the aisle with his parents and was waiting for me at the altar.
I shared with her a picture of what I wanted for my archway. It was a beautiful cascade of hundreds of carnations- just stunning... Melissa said it would be no problem to recreate- but when the day came... there were about 5 strands of 4 or 5 flowers each just dangling- the archway looked almost completely bare.
And my centerpieces were supposed to be 3 different heights of cylindrical glass vases with carnations submerged in water- I went over what I wanted in detail with her. Well, when it came to the wedding day and I had just walked down the aisle, my husband and I were taking a few seconds to ourselves before pictures. Melissa pulled me into the reception room to ask me what I wanted to do about my centerpieces. She said the carnations weren't staying under the water as she had planned and asked me what I wanted to do about it. THIS WAS LITERALLY 45 MINUTES BEFORE MY RECEPTION BEGAN! So, instead of filling these beautiful vases with water (which I bought and she kept by the way) she filled them with only an inch of water and just threw a carnation with the stem into each one. She left fingerprints on all of the centerpieces- I was SO embarrassed!
Also, there was supposed to be large bouquets of baby's breath lining the aisle- there weren't!
I spent $1800 on flowers for my wedding and I was completely robbed by Melissa Urwin! Thank God the rest of my vendors were incredible- because the job she did completely mortified me.
