My adopted son stole all my jewelry and opened an account with some of the proceeds. He opened the account online using my social in my name. After over 10 calls and a visit to the bank manager the account was finally closed. This took 2 years. When I sent the requested forms a month ago. I called again and the fraud person made absolutely no sense. They are obviously keeping the money. This is of course illegal. DONT USE THIS BANK.
My acct was involved in some fraud. The bank deactivated my debit card to prevent anything else. They were kind to next day air my debit card to me. I work at UPS so I know how much they paid for shipping. Thank you for showing my respect, protection, and makes me happy to be your customer.
I have been trying to get an answer for over 2 weeks. Talked to many representatives but no one returns calls with answers. Look elsewhere for a bank or wealth management company. This one sucks. They get your money then no longer want to talk to you
I got married and changed my name so I tried updating my information online, but you can't do that. Says you can over the phone. I call and am told they'll mail me a bunch of paperwork I need to mail back so I'm told to go to the branch despite all near me having hours that don't work with my schedule. They update my name. I confirm it will update on my debit AND credit cards. I get a replacement for debit and no credit. There's no one to email and I can't understand a word your customer service people say because my signal at my home is bad so I'm left going to the branch and taking off work AGAIN. This is pathetic.
Wish I could give -100 stars.
They won't give me my sign up bonus saying I had opened an account in the past, when clearly that account had never been really opened.
U S Bank credit card minimum payment was made by the bank without my authorization. I usually pay at a specific time and never use auto pay. Also, I also pay more than the minimum payment.
I get paid once a month and pay all my bills at that time. Because US Bank made a payment without my authorization my checking account went overdrawn.
When I contacted customer service there was no auto pay setup on my account. If that's true why was an unauthorized payment made?
After I had the card for about a month fraud was committed and a bunch of airline purchases were charged to my card as well.
After the trouble I had using the credit card and reading many negative reviews, I closed the credit card account and paid it off. Will never use a U S Bank card again.
I give 0 star for this bank. This bank is so horrible. They freezed my account with no reason. When I asked about the reason, they said they holded my account to review and will closed it because of check return. I showed the proof and receipt that the check was not a bounce check and the money from the check was completed deposit into my account. So, what mean is check return? When I showed the proof, they said that the account was being reviewing because of no reason. Until now, I cannot access or use my account because they are still holding it without any reason and notifying. They did not give my money back. Besides, the teller and manager of the U.S. bank branch in Brookhurst, Westminster, CA are very rude. They did not want to help you to solve the problems, they always denied their responsibility to their customers. The manager yelled at me when I wanted to know the reason why they holded my account. They just wanted to chase me away and still kept my money. Additionally, I tried to call them serveral days, but they did not answer the phone. I tried many different phone numbers, but they are still afraid to answer their customers calls. That's very terrible! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Stay away from this bank, especially U.S. Bank, Brookhurst, Westminster CA. THEY WILL MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A CRIMINAL!
This company should be 0 stars. This company is awful! So unreasonable to work with. I have amazing credit (above 800), have paid off my house, and have significant savings and they required me to send in $5,000 to "secure" this account. Every step of the way, they refused to give me what I earned. I essentially "lost" $400 in rewards because they refused to give them to me. AWFUL company
I been with US Bank since 2001 I used to really like them. Now they are ridiculous with the amount you need in checking and savings account to avoid maintenance fees. Maintenance fees is a new way for banks to steal your money. After dealing with fraud with them and not getting my money back was my final straw. My family has been banking with them for so long it's so disappointing that they don't care about you as customer. I use to be very pleased with them not anymore. So no US Bank is a joke and don't care about customers whatsoever. Money hungry company is there only concern
If there was an option for zero stars I would give it. This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with --------- THE WORST EVER. Steer clear of US Bank at all costs. Customer service is horrible. Hold times are lengthy and you get cut off. I don't know how they can be in business. WORTHLESS
With a credit score of around 800, I was approved for their best-rated card in about 30 seconds. On the application, they ONLY ACCEPTED A STREET ADDRESS FOR THE CARD TO BE SENT. (No post-office box option) I wanted it sent to my SAFE post-office box. Couldn't be done, and, without a card number at this point, I could not be connected to a live human being to request this to be done.
NOT IMPRESSED WITH THEIR POLICY OF NOT ACCEPTING A POST-OFFICE BOX. With the danger of street mail-box theft, even with a locking box, they need to rethink this part of their policy.
Customer service stinks. Branch manager totally ineffective conveying information to the credit card division. Regional manager Mary Forest does not acknowledge or return phone calls. Dexter, Missouri branch manager would not give me access to safe deposit box so I had to do a 20-hour round trip a week later to gain access to MY OWN BOX by appointment. Bank ANYWHERE else.
I rely on mobile banking to work properly and there is no end to issues with US Bank's website. It's very frustrating. Would definitely not recommend.
Judy at the US Bank call center is a flat out racist. These are the type of people US Bank hires. She was talking over me, cutting me off; especially, when I caught her lying to me. The clown has 0 integrity. I better get the money from the account I closed, expeditiously, or the racist Judy is going to cause a lot of bad publicity for US Bank.
We leased a vehicle and then decided to buy it.@ months later we got a bill that said we owed some more. That wasn't bad enough. They called at least 3 times a week and would hang up when we answered. They also called and would talk sometiems. Sent us a bill also. Today I overnighted a check for what they said we owed. Hope we never hear from them again. We are very disgusted with the way they handlle business if this is what anyone would call it. We will never do any business with them again US Bank sucks.
They do not reward loyalty. We have been customers for 22 years. That includes our entire family here in Colorado and these accounts: Our business account, a savings account and 4 personal accounts: My husband, my own,, my sister, my son, all have accounts with them, on my recommendation. Every so often I have overdrawn my account and they have, in the past, responded positively to my request to refund those fees. Not anymore. Their management is not empathetic. Cold, callous, and not helpful. Perhaps this is a new policy. In any case, I will be looking at a different bank to service our personal and business needs.
U.S. Bank is the worst bank I've ever worked with. I've been a member of their banking for many many years, but unfortunately, I've been extremely frustrated on their customer service as on 9/21 I had a problem and tried to address it again on January 9 and again on January 10 and again on January 11 and again on January 12 and their customer service is the worst and I mean the worse that I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Their customer service has no respect for customers as I was hung up, transferred, transferred, hung up and transferred again. No respect. The president of U.S. Bank ought to be ashamed of his employees as they treat customers with no respect. It's absolutely a shame. I will never step foot in a U.S. Bank building the rest of my life. Has their customer service had no desire to treat customers as customers. He had to be ashamed of his employees and find people that want to earn their business and respect their business and understand that the customer pays their paycheck.
They don't work at most merchants even though they advertise they are good anywhere that accepts Visa debit cards. When you call to verify the card you will get a robo message that the card numbers are invalid. If you call back (it takes about 4 tries) then you will be able to get the balance (using the same numbers). However, you cannot get to an operator from the phone prompts, you have to trick them and say your card was stolen, then you can get to a person. The person will tell you they talked to the senior engineer (or some other BS title) and it will work if you try again tomorrow. When tomorrow comes it's the exact same thing. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF by these corporate scummmbags!
They relay you from one dept to another with a simple question.
Some of the workers scold you and cut you off when you talk, saying you signed the contract, when all you did was ask why the apr is so high.
There are various fees that they can change at any time and they won't reverse fees on things that are out of your reach, even when you pay in a timely manner.
I've been with this bank 17 years and I'm sick of it. I feel like they're stealing from me.
Documents for loan requirements are arduous, and senseless. If requirements needed were shown at beginning of loan process, I would had found another lender. I regret using US BANK.
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
