Thought US Bank was making a comeback as I used to use them all the time. Unfortunately they are still stuck in old ways and refuse to adapt to new changes and processes. The company is very archaic and not proactive.
Last I checked this is fifth largest bank in USA.
Out of no where, they decide to force everybody to Mastercard.
Now, go change all your Auto Pay merchants to the new card number.
Screw that, why force the bank customer to do all that crap.
Overall U S Bank has been OK, & I have never lost money in various transactions. Plusthey seem ethical compared to the other big banks.
My adopted son stole all my jewelry and opened an account with some of the proceeds. He opened the account online using my social in my name. After over 10 calls and a visit to the bank manager the account was finally closed. This took 2 years. When I sent the requested forms a month ago. I called again and the fraud person made absolutely no sense. They are obviously keeping the money. This is of course illegal. DONT USE THIS BANK.
I wish I could give them zero stars. Been with them less than 6 months and I'm already running. My husband and I have had so many issues. Delayed checks, customer service unable to answer questions, the constant transferring to different dept. over the simplest questions. I could go off but I'll save you and say RUN!
I have a balance transfer account with US Bank. Last month I again sent in an extra $1000 payment. They double entered the $1000 by mistake and then reversed it and charged me $41. I called and straightened that out and told them I didn't want the minimum payment of about $131 deducted as I was sending them $1000 each month. They said ok. Today I saw that they again deducted the $131 from my account then reversed it (because I stopped automatic minimum payment deductions) and then charged me $41 in reversal fees. I called customer a service agent and she screamed at me when she was confused as to what happened and I was trying to explain it. Finally she reversed the $41. US Bank automatic banking computer program is very poorly written and customer service is terrible. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with U S Bank.
Don't bank with US Bank. They will rob you blind and then blame you for it. Avoid speaking to supervisor Dia and Christy. The worst bank ever. Christy refused to look into my bank statement when I asked her to do so. Because, they know they suck. Then I was asked to provide statement from my other bank. I don't believe that is legal. Why would they need my bank statement from another bank? Notice why there's no US Bank near you? Because, they are depleting. Their work does not match their value. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank. You won't regret it. I attached a bank statement proof of payment to merchant and the bank refused to give me back my money they stole from me. Mind you this has been going on since February. How pathetic is US Bank?
I had been with Union Bank since 1995 with very few problems and since US bank took over they keep kicking back deposits for unknown reasons and sent my checks ordered to the wrong address. Is this really a bank? I can't believe the inefficiency.
I was just on the phone over an hour trying to get the deposit straightened out with no resolution...they say they don't know why it gets kicked back, my time and gas is valuable and I would not ever willingly bank with US Bank
After multiple calls and follow up I cannot transfer my money out. I am currently travelling in the UK and have to fly back just to close this bank account that has done nothing to help me access my funds.
Chris Colburn was unable to close within 60 days even though he said it would take 2 -3 weeks and now he won't refund my money!
He lied about the process of the loan and upset we went with different company that DID close in 3 weeks
Their Customer service is an absolute Joke and nobody knows what's going on. I've had an account here my entire life and one day got a call asking me to call someone back in e fraud which I did immediately and he didn't answer. After leaving multiple messages over the course of a week and him never returning my calls I then began a loop of continually getting transferred around and being told something different at every step. I finally asked to close my account and they froze my cards to do so. They then took TWO WEEKS to officially put in the request and from there had to wait 15 business days to get my money that was in the account. I still had a credit card with them and when I tried to pay it they told me I needed an account open with them…
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
