“A successful cross country haul”

I have a 22' enclosed trailer I needed hauled from NV to TN. I'd never heard of Uship, but it was suggested by a friend. I posted my needs, had a few responses, and ended with a driver who had his MC and DOT #'s plus he was a TWIC driver (Dept Homeland Security clearance) and I felt confident my trailer would arrive safely. Driver kept in touch with me each day on the road and we coordinated our arrivals, his by road, mine by air, and made the drop off without a problem. I highly recommend Uship for your hauling needs. It was a simple process from start to finish.

“Terrible Experience - Avoid using this company”

Terrible experience. The third-party vendor contracted with this company delivered my vehicle 91 miles away from the delivery address. I had to arrange pick up in the middle of the night. The vehicle was picked up in working condition but delivered in non-working. The driver wasn't sure what happened. The vehicle has been at the dealer since the delivery. Too bad we have to use a 1-star to post a review, this company deserves a 0.

I contacted the before I bought the atv and got an estimate well double that and still no takers. If you buy off ATV trader get a second option don't just use their quote

I had some furniture moved and carrier quoted $600. Uship automatically marked it up with a "provider fee" I had to pay for total of $667. Okay, they're entitled to their cut. But at checkout, Uship website tacked on another 11% "service charge" for a total of 22% markup over what the carrier charged. That's a ripoff right there.

Carrier then delivered my items late, severely damaged one of them (when it fell off their truck at high speed). Carrier offered to kick back a few dollars to compensate, but shut down all communications after I released payment through Uship's website.

I later asked Uship about the duplicate charge of $67 and they copped an attitude, saying the "service charge" was plainly marked at checkout. Yes it was, but what about the mysterious 11% "provider fee" they tacked on before that? I emailed back asking them to send me the link on their website where it admits a 22% markup over what the carrier charges - surprise! No such disclosure.

Duplicate charges + late delivery + snotty attitudes = avoid at all costs and go directly with a shipper you or someone you know has worked with before.

We booked with Yasmin & Hector Escobedo, *******014, on 9/19/22. After requesting cash down payment of half the cost, they delayed pick up date every few days, then were a no show. Now I am trying to get my refund, and they hang up on me and/or do not pick up. SCAM -- DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I would give 0 stars, but you have to give 1 at a minimum.

They have absolutely no vetting of the shippers.
I have paid through the roof to have my beautiful, $2,000 mattress delivered from New York to San Diego.
It arrived FOUR MONTHS LATE (forcing me to buy a new one), with UNTREATABLE STAINS AT THE BOTTOM.
So thousands in mattress gone, hundreds in shipment cost lost, and a damaged/soiled mattress at the end of it all.

THIS COMPANY WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY SINGLE RESPONSIBILITY. THEY WILL ONLY GIVE YOU EXCUSES. WE HAVE HAD 3 PRINTERS STOLEN BY THEIR DRIVERS AND THEY JUST SAID OHH TOO BAD GO TALK TO THE DRIVER AND GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. FIRST 2 GUYS WERE ON DRUGS. THEY DO NOT CHECK ANY BACKGROUNDS ANY DAMAGES- OHH TOO BAD. THEFT- TOOBAD. I WOULD NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES*******TERRIBLE!

Uship is not supportive of your requirements.
These guys consider themselves neutral to the customer (ordering shipping) and the shipping service (broker). So don't expect them to assist you if you have any issues or disputes. Although they consider themselves neutral, don't be fooled. They are making money on both sides, and don't vet out any of the contractors on their site.

This will bite you in the $#*! for sure, and it will definitely bite them in the $#*! one day if they don't support their vendors and customers.

There are several other broker type sites like this out there and they WILL support you when there is a dispute until resolution.

Do yourself a favor, don't use them. If you do use them, be sure you don't give any of your payment information to the drivers or shipping companies outside of the uship site. Many of them will quote you pricing, them charge you fees separate from uship.

I have now been burned by their lack of "customer service" when it comes to disputed with the shipping services. I will never let my business do any business with this company again.

First time using the site overall. I had two different shipments to send to two different places. It took me a minute to figure out the navigation and time frame for when I could expect to receive bids on my shipments, when actually as soon as you post your shipment the site takes care of the rest. I received a few emails through the site about dimensions and time frame which were easy to find the alerts and access. No stress involved or worries with shipping companies as Uship covers generally all liability and credibility. You can also easily access reviews from previous customers that have used the companies to ensure quality before you agree. Uship takes a very reasonable fee in my opinion, I didn't feel like I was getting shafted on the price at all. My overall experience was welcoming and gave me much needed piece of mind, little confusing navigating the site at first but that's not really a general complaint but more of a personal issue. I will be recommending the site to others.

Actually love the service UShip provides HOWEVER the last carrier we booked through them - MOCOMPTI - was the Worst UShip carrier EVER! Completely incompetent and ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS to deal with. MOCOMPTI asked for UShip to not allow us to leave feedback (after the carrier returned our shipment to us instead of delivering) so they could continue doing business through them. Through an 'internal policy' at UShip
They basically oblidged and we could not leave feedback on the 'Worst Carrier on UShip' - MOCOMPTI. Let me be clear, USHIP IS A GREAT SERVICE and I have used them for over ten years now - they are Awesome! It's just this last shipping debacle has cost us quite a bit in lost revenue with a heretofore lucrative movie contract. Trust me, If you need your larger items shipped within the US and Canada - use UShip BUT, if you get a quote from MOCOMPTI - BEWARE!

Tip for consumers:
UShip itself is Awesome - it's this one carrier (MOCOMPTI) that they support that is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!

They over charge after accepting bid. Extra charge for unknown reason was more than bid. I had quit using them one time before for the same reason. I will deal direct with freight company.

UShip service has wasted a lot of my time and that of the respondents to my listing. HERE IS WHY. I am in Canada and my delivery is completely in Canada and the companies that responded were all in Canada, BUT on the uShip site all the quotes were shown in US dollars without any indication as such. So, when I went to accept a quote, I was shocked to find that the real price was 25% more than I had expected. I consider this as fraudulent.
To add insult to injury, I went to their contact web page and filled out a complaint only to find out that their SEND button does not work.
I WILL NEVER USE THE uShip SITE AGAIN.

This is the first time I ever shipped a vehicle. Setting it up was pretty easy. The next day I got a call that the driver will be at my home within a hour and a half. The driver never called but showed up. While loading the vehicle up I asked numerous questions. I asked about when the vehicle was going to be delivered. It was on this past Friday 12/30/22, he stated he was headed to Chicago to pick another vehicle up and then stay the night there. He stated that on Saturday 12/31/22 he will drive to North Carolina and drop off the truck. The truck did not show up on Saturday. The truck did not show up Sunday or Monday morning. The weather was not bad on the route so I figured there was no weather delay. I began calling every number I could find for Uship and Orion and was unable to get in touch with anyone. I emailed everyone I could also. Finally after several hours I heard back from Uship. They stated that they too were unable to reach anyone at Orion. I was very frustrated and was going to file a stolen vehicle report. Without any notice the vehicle showed up in North Carolina Monday afternoon. I am not rich so this vehicle is very important to me and my son. My son had to borrow a friend's vehicle to get back to base in time. Uships' lack of communication with Orion caused much frustration and inconvenience. More than they know.

Uship maybe a good company but I do not trust Orion who they used.

The first time I used them all went as planed. We booked Old Dominion they were out of this world perfect. You always had contact with driver and they did not find ways to increase you charge. The next time I booked NMU Worldwide. This was a joke, very bad customer service the operator had problems with English speaking and understanding and before they could pick up they were talking about increase in pricing. Can not put you in contact with driver, You can not pay through u-ship who seems to be more secure, then you have to print another BOL. So I call u-ship they cancel pickup first thing in morning and relist pickup but then had to deal with trucking company trying to charge me for there bad service. Uship did fix it but did nothing to this company. After all that there truck 18 wheeler shows up at 5; 30 in afternoon turns in wrong driveway and just goes tru 2 neighbors yards and yes it messed there yard up good. I asked the driver what he was doing and he said no one called him... Once again no communication. So now i am fixing yards and u-ship says they can do nothing Other than this they have been great but NMU is a joke NEVER USE THEM

I can not stress enough that this is where the scammers are. Paid over $700 after fees for boxes and couch to be picked up. I got rid of the couch but had more boxes and the mover agreed, as the space for the small boxes would be much less than the couch. I should have known when he arrived to the wrong address, then said he was going to keep my payment because I wasn't there and he left. He took a picture of the wrong door, and when I pointed that out to him, which took a while of him yelling at me over text and not answering my calls, he arrived at the correct one. He picked up my belongings, and once his driver left, he began harassing me and my friend, for more money in order to deliver my stuff. He was trying to hold my stuff hostage for more money, until I got uShip involved to require updates on the location of my stuff. But once he got a hold of my belongings he harassed me every day to give him and additional $300. My stuff was also suppose to be in a covered truck but it was on a trailer with a tarp. I have yet to inspect it, as I've been out of town for work, but the boxes look crushed and I'm sure my stuff is all broken. I should have thrown everything away instead of use uShip. I'll be filing a claim with my credit card, as well as a complaint against the BBB to report David Maia for his unprofessional and false ad of services. Do not use this site, do not use that carrier. Beware. Attached are picks of the trailer and not covered truck as paid for. This site doesn't allow regular pics formatted but I have pics to post on any site I can and will.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Would not refund money after driver dumped my jet skis in another state. I had to sue them to get my money. They then suspended my account after I sued them.
