“A successful cross country haul”

I have a 22' enclosed trailer I needed hauled from NV to TN. I'd never heard of Uship, but it was suggested by a friend. I posted my needs, had a few responses, and ended with a driver who had his MC and DOT #'s plus he was a TWIC driver (Dept Homeland Security clearance) and I felt confident my trailer would arrive safely. Driver kept in touch with me each day on the road and we coordinated our arrivals, his by road, mine by air, and made the drop off without a problem. I highly recommend Uship for your hauling needs. It was a simple process from start to finish.

“Terrible Experience - Avoid using this company”

Terrible experience. The third-party vendor contracted with this company delivered my vehicle 91 miles away from the delivery address. I had to arrange pick up in the middle of the night. The vehicle was picked up in working condition but delivered in non-working. The driver wasn't sure what happened. The vehicle has been at the dealer since the delivery. Too bad we have to use a 1-star to post a review, this company deserves a 0.

I had nothing but issues in trying to ship a motor using uship. To be fair, most of the issues were with the freight company that bid through uship, but when things went sour and the delivery and pick up were messed up, and I was charged extra on top of the original already paid quote, uship's customer service was not really interested in my complaints or making things right. It took a heated argument on the phone with a uship representative and getting hung up on to resolve the issues, that they did not want to take any responsibility for. In the end, the extra charges were refunded, but I will not be using uship ever again, nor will I be recommending them to anyone else.

Our small business had its first need for LTL and ended up on uShip after a bit of research. The transaction went off without a hitch and the quote was within just a couple of dollars of the final transaction. I was most impressed with the personalized customer service responses I got when I emailed several newbie questions. Hopefully we are in need of their services again. I'll definitely go the uShip route in the future.

They will not stand behind what they do. They give you a bid to ship a package of certain dimensions and certain weight. I weighed the crate and measured it with the driver here. Two weeks later, they charge me an extra $200 and will not respond. They say that the package was overweight. Beware they are dishonest.

Had never heard of U-Ship until I was in a situation where I had to move a piece of new furniture from VA to FL -- and wanted it done fast, professionally and without paying a fortune. Posted on U-ship and within 3 hours, had several bids from a high of $575 to a low of $250. The lowest bidder said he could pick up my furniture next day and deliver the day after. I was like SOLD! Cost me $250 plus a $25 service fee and took out $50 dollars of UShip insurance. For $349, I got a piece of furniture picked up in VA on a Thursday afternoon and delivered the West Palm Beach area of FL by 11am next day. That's insane... I couldn't rent a round trip truck for that much... Delivery driver was so professional and friendly and my item was in an enclosed trailer. I'm totally sold on the UShip process and will absolutely use this process again! Can't afford NOT to. Lol. Try it.

New customer and I had a part needing shipped from Nebraska to Florida. Driver was responsive and communicated well. Delivered on time and as promised. All I would say is your service depends on the driver and you have some responsibility to accommodate the unpredictable nature of individualized shipping. Be flexible when at all possible and understand they are trying to book multiple loads and make a delivery schedule that is profitable for them. You will get better service in the end.

Using the site was very easy, and I had a very reasonable quote within a couple days. Aaron was prompt, great communicator, and even helped wrap my item up before transit, and it got there safe and quickly. Would definitely use again.

This was my first time using uShip as I needed to get a few pieces of furniture transported from Arizona to California. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent price. The mover was timely and communicated with me at every step. Would highly recommend uShip. In fact, I am going to use them again in Spring for moving the rest of my two-bedroom apartment.

I would use again and recommend. We have a couple of small pieces of furniture and boxes to move from California to Ohio. I was a bit nervous about doing this, but it went very well. Communication with the shipper was good. The shipper had good reviews on uShip's site. This was much cheaper then a traditional moving company. Everything arrived safe and sound!

Put my add on there. Says need a winch to load. First two guys showed up with one that didn't work. Ended up not picking it up. Told me it would be 300 more at delivery. I said ok. They couldnt get the job done. Told me I had to give them 200 for trying. Or uship would charge me half of the shipping charges. I ended up giving them 150 through PayPal. Wire fraud if you ask me. They wouldn't cancel shipment with good feedback until I did. So second guy he just doesn't show at all. Gives some lame excuse. Says he would go back today. 4 days later. No show and want cancel the shipment. Used to be a good place to use but it sucks now.

UShip provides independent drivers to bud on jobs. I started w/driver below 3 rating, and his reply included what as a customer was an inappropriate response to my price/info of what was to be delivered. Then received a bud within my price range by a driver with a 5 rating and he deserves all of them. Tim was the utmost professional from start to finish. Thank you again, Tim for making my experience shipping personal furniture items such a positive experience. This driver is a true professional at his craft!

It took a while to get started with the process, but when i got fouled up a helpful phone assistant helped. The shipper delivered terrific service throughout the process. My small sailboat came on time and in excellent condition. I would use uShip again, anytime. You just have to evaluate the people who respond to your request.

Contractor failed to deliver my items as promised picked up my items on 12/16, sand stated he would deliver approximately 12-21-12/24/23. He delivered items on 1/4/2023. I was pushed for time and getting my items late.

I've shipped personal cars previously and the UShip platform works well. Ultimately shipping is a per mile, logistical business. Have patience as it's not an exact science so the pickup and delivery is never exact. May be few days earlier or later than you expect. The hauler was super nice and the pickup/delivery was perfect using an open rig.

Thanks again and I'll need a return quote in 6 months!

I sold a lexus SC 300 bumper and hood on eBay and under bid the shipping cost to JB Hunt $289 estimate. But to ship in reality would cost $650 -$700. U Ship helped me work with my customer and get the load ship for a total of only $440 everything included. JB Hunt didn't even call me back. Thanks uShip

You will never pay what you're quoted. They compete for a low rate then add on extras later. This has happened more than once with them saying weights are off, residential vs commercial when absolutely all the details were given. We have a pallet scale. I would avoid using uship at all costs they will not stand behind their customers at all.

Be careful of shipping scams through UShip!

My shipment was stolen by the carrier and UShip provided no effective assistance. After filing police reports, retracing phony stories, and dealing with the fact that my treasured items were most likely at a pawn shop and I would receive no reimbursement, my only recourse is to warn others.

My shipping provider was a criminal and UShip takes no responsibility for scams like this operating under their umbrella. In fact, UShip blocked me so I can't even communicate with them. It has been a sickening experience.

My advice is to use a different company and do your research on the movers before booking. UShip will happily hang you out to dry.

It was extremely easy, I had my shipment quickly, and it was at a better price than I'm accustomed to with the commercial jobbers. This individual carrier was quick, responsive, and helpful. I'm a first time user of uship and I am really glad I found them. I needed a travel trailer delivered to FL. From TX and I was calling independent companies and getting really high quotes. I found uship and listed it and was surprised at how many companies responded. My final bid that I accepted was more than half of what I was quoted calling companies on my own. I'm confused by the negative reviews, the customer is the one who selects the shipper they want to use and it's up to you to use your due diligence and check them out throughly before accepting their offer. I bypassed and declined a few that I didn't feel confident after reading their reviews. The lowest bid is not always the best shipper.

I engaged in Uship's service to transport my BMW from a dealership to my San Diego home. Unfortunately, the experience was subpar – lack of communication, a significant delay in delivery, and the delivery occurring in the dark. Despite paying extra for coverage, my car arrived with a cracked back window. I reached out to the BMW dealership and they said there was no broken windows on the car. The shipper refused my claim, stating it wasn't their responsibility. I've contacted the BBB and plan to involve the district attorney's office in Austin, Texas. This seems like an insurance issue, and I'm dissatisfied with the service provided.

Tip for consumers:
Since they won’t do my claim, they can at least give me my money back that I paid for the coverage.

Many great companies started in a garage. uShip started in the back of a rent-a-truck. In 2001, Matt Chasen and his then fiancé, Heather, were moving from Seattle to Austin. The 9 ft. Van Matt ordered was sold out, leaving them with an enormous 20 ft. Truck.

Along that 2,500-mile drive, Matt remembered the large family heirloom armoire he’d tried–and failed–to ship a year earlier due to the astronomic shipping cost.
