I have a 22' enclosed trailer I needed hauled from NV to TN. I'd never heard of Uship, but it was suggested by a friend. I posted my needs, had a few responses, and ended with a driver who had his MC and DOT #'s plus he was a TWIC driver (Dept Homeland Security clearance) and I felt confident my trailer would arrive safely. Driver kept in touch with me each day on the road and we coordinated our arrivals, his by road, mine by air, and made the drop off without a problem. I highly recommend Uship for your hauling needs. It was a simple process from start to finish.
Terrible experience. The third-party vendor contracted with this company delivered my vehicle 91 miles away from the delivery address. I had to arrange pick up in the middle of the night. The vehicle was picked up in working condition but delivered in non-working. The driver wasn't sure what happened. The vehicle has been at the dealer since the delivery. Too bad we have to use a 1-star to post a review, this company deserves a 0.
I had to cancel a shipment due to the carrier not being capable of picking up. Extremely frustrated with this company and the shipper - while not wishing to take it out via reviews and the internet, I feel that I must bring the full force of that on EBAY and other sites so that others can avoid the business to find a reliable source of shipment. I was not handled correctly - no full refund (they could not pickup my car), only an 84% refund and the rest as a uShip credit. Unacceptable - completely, and totally unacceptable.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T!
Using the UShip system was straightforward and helped me to select the most economical freight option. I saved over $1000 relative to other options I researched. The process was easy and I was able to set up my pickup in a short time. It was relatively intuitive to figure out how to track shipping progress. My shipment arrived without issue.
I've been a carrier on Uship for almost 5 years. The people are corporate office are terrible. Heather Hoover in particular is the worst. I would highly recommend not using this company period. They charge us carriers a 20% fee which is outrageous. But thats not enough, they also then charge the customer or shipper a fee as well. I've addressed several issues to management there and its worse than talking to a wall. They claim to have "experts" in the business working there. There are no experts. Its a bunch of kids working seasonal jobs who dont understand the transport business whatsoever.
I havent met one smart person the entire time I've used their site. They've been smug jerks on many occasions. Majority of carriers on there are not properly licensed for this type of work either. A lot of quick fly by night guys that Uship doesnt verify much at all. So dont use these people. They are terrible and don't know the first thing about transporting.
I used them for an interstate move two years ago and I was really impressed by their service. On-time, polite, hard-working, and truly nice people. I don't know about now, but back then your money was held in escrow until you approved their service. The total cost was much less than I had paid previously for local moves. Since I couldn't afford a big tip, I ordered a huge take-out lunch for their 400 mile trip home. Could not have been more satisfied. Why do people mess with success?
My family's newly established business really deals with items that could easily break during shipping or transporting. We looked for good providers of service in the industry of course. The perfect web-based freight company that we found out that can deliver our items from point A to point B safely and without daily is uShip Pro transportation Services Company.
It is actually considered to be one of the world's largest and most trusted marketplaces for transportation markets and bidders. The uShip continually delivers the best services in terms of freight and logistics.
Truckers and manufacturing companies like us have loved this company ever since we availed of its services. I am sure that you will love them too most especially if you will see their statement of commitment to high levels of client's satisfaction.
It does not take much for these people to kick you of their site. The site has a flaw, because for some unknow reason Me as the customer typed or express something which cause their site security team to permanently band and delete your account with out telling you why. This is their way. To go further they will send an e-mail stating do not call. So in other words you are out and have no idea of what you did to offend them. SHIPLY is the best site, user friendly to go on. I got my truck shipped next day.

I had a great moving experience. I appreciated the direct communication I had with Maurice until my shipment was completed. Everything was handled very professional. I certainly will be using this service again.
Hired them to haul equipment for me. And I'm at 3 weeks past delivery date as of now and still nothing... I've started a claim with the complaint department and for the last week all I can get is oh. An executive will call... I can't even get info on the driver or where abouts of my equipment. I've lost an average Joe's annual income not having this equipment and that's the best uship can do? Save the BS and you're money people. Do not use uship. Online booking company that doesn't care about it's clients
I have submitted requests using this service four times. Out of the four submissions only one of them resulted in a no hassle ordeal. One of the transporters bid on a transport and that's it! He didn't call, text or email. I called Uship and was told to check the transporters reviewa before accepting. I am currently trying to get the same item shipped with being charged a $40 per day storage fee. Someone accepted a bid this morning who had a very strong rating on Uship. The guy promised he would pick up the jet ski today prior to the business closing. But guess what... He didn't make it.
My experience with UShip carriers has been good. Most often they communicate within 24 hrs of an accepted offer.
I expect the shipper to be honest on delivery dates. When they have issues, they need to communicate with both the shipper and delivery party directly.
They also deserve respect for what they do.
This is the safest and most reliable source for transporting your goods. I had a backhoe, a $78,00 car,Japanese mini trucks, several golf carts and I have been very pleased with all of my shipments. Keep up the good work
I used the service because of the 'shipping wars' show. While my load got to its destination, and in good condition, uShip Never paid the carrier FASTFRATE. They are now putting the file in collection. I have proof of payment. All of this was from two years ago, and they are still trying to collect for a fully paid invoice. Fortunately uShip could not even spell my name correctly so it did not land in my credit history.
Do not use these scammers, and just pay the carrier directly. Like other online services, they take a third of the money, and make shipping attractive and money loosing for the poor truckers.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use it. They do not pay the carrier, and you will end up paying twice.

Frankly, I turn to UShip first every time. I have only had one problem, and that was something I allowed to happen anyway. Otherwise, apart from the Draconian need to censor initial communications with shippers (some of which is frankly needed for a fair quote) I have had no real problems through dozens of important museum realted shipments.
Be careful of this company, it uses carriers that have found a way to avoid responsibility for how it transports. They also use a company called roanoke for additional coverage that finds way not to cover damages.
I shipped a perfect condition motorcycle and got it damaged. Here it is months later and nobody holds responsibility.
I would not ship junk with this company, their carriers have no respect for your property. USHIP is not reputable.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use USHIP and if you do do not use Roanoke additional insurance coverage.
Both are a con act.

We contracted with a delivery service through UShip for a fair price (there were 3bids). The delivery went smoothly and on time. The delivery driver helped us launch our boat and get it going. He was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. He communicated and kept us up to date on his progress.
This website either is fully a scam or it doesn't screen who it allows to make bids. I would/will NEVER consider using a site like this again. A company made a bid and canceled the day they were to arrive. I had scheduled with the company over a month in advance to move across the country.
I then tried to used uship.com and again another company was fraudulent and tried to scam me. The company was aggressive and threatening.
Don't waste your time or sanity trusting this site.
I accepted a quote on the uShip site to transport our primary family vehicle. (Quote was from Montway)
The vehicle was picked up but 4 days passed and I hadn't received a status or information about the delivery (Zero communications).
After three inquiries with the broker and the actual carrier I discovered that the truck that picked my vehicle had a major breakdown the same day my vehicle was picked up and my vehicle (And other vehicles) just sat in some unknown location for up to 4 days without notifying the owners. It's clear by this experience that uShip does not evaluate, track or manage the companies / brokers that post quotes on their site. Further, it is clear that Montway does not track or manage the carriers that actually transport the vehicles on their behalf. At the time of this review I still have not received a written commitment on when the vehicle will be delivered. It's clear that the entire uShip business model is unmanaged and flawed, and they have no interest in the quality of service that is provided - none. Let the buyer beware.
Tip for consumers:
Do your diligence with any business on the internet. They are faceless, and take no responsibility for the outcome of their services.

This was a good process, and once we got through the bidding process, and selected carrier had great communication and was very efficient and quick. Kentucky to WA state in 4 days. The shipper selected did an awesome job and continued the great communication through delivery. A great experience and would do again.
Dean Long was my transporter, and he worked out very well. He fixed some bugs with the trailer before the trip and delivered on time and as promised. Good thing he has mechanical experience he was able to fix the tongue on the trailer. Otherwise, the whole thing would've been a wash. Great job.
I had an Xmas tree to have transported from Fl to Ga. I posted a shipment and received a bid and accepted it. Uship charged me a $24.99 fee. They never disclosed that the transporter also had to pay a similar fee. When a problem occurred they began a negotiation CHAIN between the shipper and transporter. While they were very happy to facilitate these discussions they never participated in reducing their fees. Their fees actually amount to 30-40% of the fees paid by the shipper, but they provide little value beyond the IT web site infrastructure.
I would never use their services for future moves, besides their outrageous fees, the vetting of the transporters falls woefully short of reasonable standards.
Disrespectful, makes up stories, customer service is a joke, wants to be "fair" to both parties even if one was a total jerk, while the other was just a paying customer. You have to chase the guys these brokers (who don't tell you they're brokers) hire who just so happen to seem to not care about anything.
The process of moving one cabinet to NYC was professional, efficient and I would highly recommend uShip.
I wanted to use their website, because someone recommended it to me to ship my ebike. I posted my add and after a few days I get an email notifying me that my account has been suspended. When I reached out to understand what is going on, the response I got is "We will not be able to reinstate your account and Member Support will not be able to discuss your suspension over the phone". No explanation whatsoever. Don't waste your time with this website!

uShip is a worldwide online transportation marketplace connecting those that need things shipped to those who do the shipping. In minutes you can create a free listing to have your item(s) shipped, choose to let potential transporters bid on your shipment or view estimates.
People and businesses use uShip because it’s easy and affordable to price, book, and ship everything from cars to cranes, freight to furniture, and households to horses—whether it’s going local or long distance.
Our shipping marketplace helps you connect with trusted, feedback-rated service providers of all kinds—large companies, small fleets, single-truck owners and even roadtrippers—that compete for your business and offer extra cargo space at a discount.
Many great companies started in a garage. uShip started in the back of a rent-a-truck. In 2001, Matt Chasen and his then fiancé, Heather, were moving from Seattle to Austin. The 9 ft. Van Matt ordered was sold out, leaving them with an enormous 20 ft. Truck.
Along that 2,500-mile drive, Matt remembered the large family heirloom armoire he’d tried–and failed–to ship a year earlier due to the astronomic shipping cost. That’s when he had his lightbulb moment that he’d become intent on solving: creating a way online to efficiently connect people’s large shipments with empty truck space so both parties win.
Matt would go on to make this his focus at business school, where he met fellow students Jay Manickam and Mickey Millsap. The trio honed the idea, and in 2004, they launched uShip.com.
uShip is based in Austin, Texas, with European headquarters in Amsterdam.
Every 30 seconds a new shipment is listed on uShip worldwide.
