Just need a patient and accuracy info for dispute. After talked with customer service That took a very long time, I gave up all of the purchase that's been swept by theft to be disputed. Surprisingly…about 2 months (as the representative said) they really send me another card with the rest of amount which the thieve stole it. Thank you, I really appreciate it. If I can give zero stars I would. Put 200 on card every where I tried using it card declined, trying to call Customer services was just as worse. Then they told me in 3-5 business days I would get a replacement card that is a bigger joke. I suggest NO ONE buy these cards.
Received a vanilla gift card for Christmas. Although initially excited, that ended quickly. I tried to use at four different stores and would not accept. Checked online and my money was there. Called customer service and was assured my money was there. Called customer service 3 times, each time, waiting an hour. Finally I was issued a new card. When my card arrived it was unable to be activated because the 11 digit # was on the bottom of the back of the card. Now I am waiting for a new card. Something that should be so simple WAS NOT Due to this experience, I would never purchase these cards as a gift and I hope never to receive another.
My card did not work and contacted customer service. I emailed the information in 5 different times and called 4 times. Given the same answer each time. The last call I was on the phone for over an hour and a half and had a supervisor finally that ended up hanging up on me. My issue is still not resolved and it has been over 2 weeks. Stay away from this company and their products. They are terrible!
SCAM! The card is accepted almost nowhere. When it is inevitably declined it locks up.
You are then left with trying to contact customer support which is an endless loop. DO NOT BUY.

I recieved two of these gift cards and neither worked! The merchant and I tried several times. I went on line and the notice said that there is an error and try later. This happened four times! I called for customer service and was on hold for over an hour. My friends are out over $125! Someone should investigate this company.

I received a Vanilla gift card as a gift from someone, I used it twice it went through fine, I used it today and the store said it had declined and I was not able to finish using it. People please do not purchase these gift cards, they are a scam.
I purchased a $500 gift card for a Christmas present. After I activated it with the purchase, it had a zero balance shortly thereafter. Someone had the card and pin number and used it to make a $500 purchase at Target. It wasn't me. I filed a dispute and they rejected it and said the card was present. It was not.
They do not back there product and they could care less if you were ripped off. I'm out $500. They are horrible to work with and I will never use the Vanilla gift card again. I SUGGEST EVERYONE DO THE SAME!
Received one of these gift cards from a friend and it's been almost completely unusable. The card is activated and everything on the site where I can check the balance says it is ready to use, but it is constantly declined. ONE time it randomly worked, but 50 other times I have tried it and it gets declined, even with the same vendor with which it worked the one time. Of course they don't have any kind of chat or email support, you have to either call or mail them a physical letter. I've tried calling and given up each time after being on hold for 30+ minutes. This really should be considered fraud.
Customer service is just about non existent.
I was given a 50.00 card. When I went to use it there was only 3.19 left. I've never used the card. I called customer service and after several calls finally got thru. I had to file a dispute and that department came back and said the transactions were valid. I asked for proof and they said they considered the case closed and wouldn't provide me proof of receipts.
I had 8 vanilla gift cards compromised from purchases in California (I live in Illinois) before I used them.
I am out $600 and Vanilla Gift does nothing to correct the situation. Their dispute process is ridiculous and calling is even worse. Nobody you talk to can do anything (after extreme hold times) and they simply do not back up their product. Do not purchase from Vanilla Gift as they are unreliable and unresponsive.

My Dad got this for me as a Christmas gift 150$ I used it once at Walmart for a hot wheels car it worked just fine but the next day I wanted to buy something on ebay and it says "your payment didn't go through" and it kept saying that I didn't know how bad it was until I was reading people's conversations here. I feel bamboozled, wondering if this card is gonna work other places but it does not what so ever work online I've tried ebay. Xbox. Ps4. It just not work. I have no idea it was this bad and I hope people get there Money back. As for my dad I have to tell him in the morning he might have been scammed.
I called to the phone customer service to check the balance on the card. The automated operator ask me tricky questions for security, 5+8 answered 13. But it told me I was wrong and cut off my phone call. I try 2 more times the same thing happened :(? What kind of costumer service it's this. I never seeing this issue with any other company. It's very confusing. :(
I received one of these as a birthday present. No place on the card OR the packaging does it say that this card has to be activated to use it, once purchased from the store. I attempted to use it at a store and it was declined. I went online figured out that it had to be activated. I tried to do that and got an error message every time. I finally called today and they have locked the card. Now they want a copy of the card, my ID and the receipt and if my friend doesn't have the receipt, they want me to ask him to go back to the store to have them pull the receipt. They won't even start "investigating " until they have these documents. At this point, if you just wanted to steal my friends money just say that. Someone needs to put together a class action lawsuit against this company because they are nothing but scam artist.
As of this moment I still have money on the card, but for some reason keeps getting declined. Doesn't matter where it is, it'll be declined even if I go inside do credit or debit with pin. Customer service (if you wanna call them that) absolutely didn't do anything other than the obvious response " follow the directions on the back of the card or website". All three of theses options for me still had the same outcome, money in card and active but still declined. What really makes this frustrating is the lack of customer service training for what this problem was. I did call the phone on the back of the card i was on the line for 40 minutes to get connect and the customer service told me that someone else try to claim the money? It is very hard to use one of these cards. They do not contain the address of the person, so the zip code is invalid. I was finally able to use it on the Target site.
There are no people to talk to at VanillaGift, and their recordings/website just say to use another merchant. The Merchants say that it isn't their problem, the card issuer won't authorize the transaction.
In short, I will NEVER use this company again.
I have been to 3 different stores in the past 4 days trying to use the card. I have checked, it is activated, has a balance of $50, and i have used a PIN, and tried credit. NOTHING! I called, got no where. Tried online, and there is a disclaimer, if your card is declined, and you have the available funds, try shopping online? This is BS. I cant get help anywhere.
I was given a Vanilla gift card at Christmas with $175 to spend. Before I could use it, some stole the available balance using cash app. I tried to file a claim but got no where. Supposedly, this happens frequently with these cards because the number is stolen off the back of the gift card packaging. I read an article on line about this after my funds were stolen. You can't resolve the issue with them either. Again, I would not buy this gift card! I never will again and I hope I'm never given one again as a gift.

You can no longer register these prepaid Visa cards to a name or address on their website. The website and 800 number have far fewer options than before. You are supposed to be able to check a few things on the website but after filling in your card information, many people see a system error message. This problem has been going on for a while. Visa is shredding their name value.
Purchased a $500 gift card for my daughter's birthday. It didn't work and we kept getting the run around from customer service. Transferred over and over again and said they would send a new card. They never did. Please be warned. I would hate this to happen to anyone.
My twin daughters received $500 gifts cards as graduation gifts, and we were never able to activate the cards. Repeated system error when I tried to activate the cards online. Activated card and immediately charges showed up. Called 800 number on back to dispute charges. They cancelled my card and told me it would take 45-90 days to investigate and settle. In the meantime, I did not have access to my remaining balance. I have inquired by email several times as to status and received no reply. I have called and customer service rep takes message, confirms my email and says, someone will get back to me. It's been 90 days and I am still waiting. Starting to believe it is a scam. Takes your money for gift card and then keeps it! Don't buy!

This company is a scam. I NEVER write reviews like this. They STOLE $178.95 of my money. The website is intentionally misleading when it says you can use the card anywhere. NEWSFLASH - YOU CAN'T. This company should be sued and dug into the ground in every incarnation in which they find themselves. DO NOT engage with this company. It is the worst experience you will ever have buying a gift. I wish I had known before my horrible experience. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same horror I've been through with them.

Check balance online BOM mistake one checking online gave the hackers the card information please please please do not use their website as said in other reviews the company doesn't give a damn I was on hold for 30 minutes just for someone to pick up n still not solved the issue... I would buy any gift card it's a waste of money. That you our your love one will never get to use
