Just need a patient and accuracy info for dispute. After talked with customer service That took a very long time, I gave up all of the purchase that's been swept by theft to be disputed. Surprisingly…about 2 months (as the representative said) they really send me another card with the rest of amount which the thieve stole it. Thank you, I really appreciate it. Suggestions for others, make sure check balance or activate card in "official website"

If I can give zero stars I would. Put 200 on card every where I tried using it card declined, trying to call Customer services was just as worse. Then they told me in 3-5 business days I would get a replacement card that is a bigger joke. I suggest NO ONE buy these cards.

There is nothing redeeming about my experience with this company. The card I purchased as a gift remains in limbo, as it has been flagged as "compromised" several times for no apparent reason. Every time I call, I'm told that I will receive a call from the Order Management Team in "three business days", yet no call ever comes. When I call for an update, and finally reach a representative after an excessive wait time, the rep simply creates a new case and it all goes back to square one. Protect your money and do not buy from this sham of a company.

The only way to check your balance is online (where you get a "system error -try later" message) or by phone (which they do not answer). Consequence is that you end up with an unknowable residual unused balance that the card issuer ultimately takes into income.

Do not buy one of these bought as a gift but when opened you needed to peel it off the packaging and then peel off the terms and conditions, doing this completely removed the last 4 digits of the card number rendering it useless. I bought an Amazon card instead £50 quid wasted.

Definitely the worst girt card I have ever received. The amount is $150. Jacket indicated I had 12 days to use it before it expired. Tried to use it over 20 times - online and in person. Each time said not valid. Website indicated $150. Basically non existent customer service. It may say $150 but is worth nothing if it can't be used. Trading rocks has more value than a Vanilla gift card.

I have been calling since Christmas, I bought 2 gift cards for 25.00 each to my grandchildren. One worked the other did not have tried repeatedly to call and no one answers. They are a total rip off and I will never waist my money like that again. So save yourself the trouble!a Don't buy any gift card that's says vanilla gift debt

I received a gift for Christmas from my job. In January 2022 I tried using it only to find out someone used it at 7-eleven. My gift card was an online only card and 7-eleven does not have an online store. I sent my dispute on March 1st and was told it would be reviewed in 45-90 days. As of today I've called 4 times after my follow up email on April 1st was ignored. They keep telling me I will have an update in 24-48 hours, I wait and then call again. Customer service lacks empathy and the skill to help customers. You'll be left in the dark.

First of all their customer service has always sucked! You can't even get no one to even barely answer the phone and if you do by some chance they are not even the slightest bit helpful they will make you feel dumb too about asking any questions They're cocky and rude to you on the phone… I swear I don't know how these people in so called, "customer service" even still have a job?! What a waste of time and money $ plus they make promises they can't keep. If your going to use the card to make an online purchase you mind as well forget it! Even though they're is indeed funds on the card it will just keep saying card declined…if I could give this company a half of a zero I would! Don't buy! BEWARE!

I filed a dispute with Vanilla gift cards, and have tried for months to get my money back. I filed the dispute in October 2021; and as of April 10,2022 I still have not gotten my money back.

I've held for as long as an hour sometimes.

Most recently a supervisor named Velvet got on the line and introduced herself. After that she refused to say another word. Just sat there on the line.

DO NOT buy these cards. If something goes wrong, they keep your money and do not really attempt to make you whole.

I don't have $500 to give away; but that's what I did. Sad.

Tip for consumers:
Their dispute process and policy keeps you in bondage. You most likely will not get your money back.

Bought a brand new never opened package card for a grad gift. When they opened it 4 of the numbers were unreadable. Contacted CVS where I purchased they said call the number on card because they do not refund or replace damaged cards. Contacted vanilla and they said it will take 10-30 days for a replacement. Very unacceptable. There customer service are hard to understand since you are taking with someone in another part of the world. I will never buy a gift card again. And would advise everyone to avoid buying any gift cards visa or Amex from this company vanilla.

Bought Plenty of these over the years.When it works it's fine. But if anything goes wrong you will spend endless hours on the phone. So far I've called 7 times, 7 different people including a manager (or so they say), countless hours, 2 and a half months (so far) and nothing. It's always the same BS. I'm so sorry, we will escalate the issue, we've sent an email, they will be in contact, 24 to 48 hours, blah blah blah. Absolutely awful.

On top of having fraud on a gift card my son was given for Christmas, Vanilla Gift card gave us a different answer every time we called. We still don't have the $160 back and have to wait on hold for 30-60 minutes to speak with someone. It is disgusting and Visa should be ashamed to have their name affiliated with this company. We feel as if we have been violated twice! Once by the person who stole the money from the card and now by Vanilla Gift. I will never buy their product and recommend no one else does.

My son and I each received Vanilla Visa gift cards for Christmas. First, the emails received did not include all the information needed to use them. The gift giver had to resend and we received a photo of a gift card, which could not be printed out. I wrote the numbers on a sticky note, but of course that would not be accepted at stores in town, the bank (they said they would need a scannable card), or to pay existing bills. I used mine to make a donation to one of my favorite causes online, but when I tried to check and make sure the payment went through, there was a ridiculous test to click on the X or click on the rabbit's eye. Kept getting error codes and could not get through to check the balance. Could not reach a human to resolve issue. I have told the card giver to never, ever use Vanilla Gift cards again! Beware! This is a scam!

Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase Vanilla Gift Cards. There is no customer service, only one frustration after another!

I received a $100 gift card from very good friends. Tried to use it twice. Rejected both times (restaurant and Crate and Barrel). Called Vanilla. Entered in the card number. The auto-response I got back was the card was invalid. Tried inputting online to check balance. No luck. Have been on hold for customer service for 27 minutes. Would not recommend a Visa Vanilla Gift card to anyone. I would never buy one after my experience AND after reading their reviews (a cumulative 1-star at best).

I received a Vanilla gift card and tried using it and it only had 12 numbers on it instead of 16. I have called over 15 times and then asked for a fax number. It was faxed and nothing yet after almost 2 weeks. I am so disappointed with them. I was going to use this for my nieces wedding.

I will never get another one without opening it up at the store.

Your company should be on top of things. I sent everything you asked for and over 2 weeks later nothing still.

Check the Vanilla card as soon as you get it.

This card was given to me as a gift. I followed every instruction to the letter! Now customer service is reluctant to help me! People do not waste your time and money on Vanilla.com products. Now they're saying it'll be 3 weeks to get a refund, I'm not holding my breath. This company sucks!

I had the worst experience with this card cant use it for anything not to pay bills not at Walmart and one of my cards didn't work get another brand of card and save yourself a headache and customer service is horrible

Bought the card so my husbands caregivers could buy food, supplies etc while I was gone. Worked fine for the first 8 days and 11 purchases. But then for some reason Visa decided the card was compromised and potentially fraudulent activity when a pizza was ordered from one of the oldest businesses in our town. A hold was placed on the card and the caregivers had to pay out of pocket for all purchases until my return. Customer service phone conversation was useless and infuriating.

I'll never buy this gift card or recommend anyone to buy it. We got married and received many gift cards. The only ones we had major issues was with these vanilla gift cards. Two times at the gas station only charged less than a dollar and then they got locked. Then all of a sudden a Paypal charged appeared that was not authorized debiting the balance on the balance amount. You try calling and nobody answers, customer service is non-existance. This is a scam do not purchase. This card was purchased at Walmart and they should ban their sale.

$100 gift card from my wife's previous coworker.
We tried to activate the card and it was showing it already had nearly $18.00 in Microsoft charges from who knows? At the same time somehow it said the card number was invalid and we could not use the card until we contacted customer service.
We did contact them and let them know the issue. They wanted my name, date of birth, address and 45 to 90 days to investigate. I asked him if all my other account numbers and keys to my vehicles would help him as well? After hanging up with him I called back to activate the card and just use the rest of the funds. They would not do that as this a security risk and had to investigate. They then wanted all of my information again. "Sure, you sound pretty Legit, let me get that for you!"
I would not recommend this company to anybody. Do not buy their gift cards as it is definitely a scam. It's amazing that they are able to sell these in stores.

I called last week to check my balance, Boom the operator took my info and then cleaned the card out. I would have never noticed if the online site would have stayed down, this dude has probably made out like a bandit steals thousands from people. I called and reported this to the company but they don't really care. I don't think anyone should use this type card until arrest for financial card transaction fraud has been issued. People that scam off others don't deserve to live.

Ok first of all I never really write reviews but this got me. You no longer can buy off Ebay and I called to find out what was up and she confirmed asked for a refund and they said 3 weeks for a paper check. Lmao so for that I am no longer buying these garbage azz cards. I haven't tried Amazon yet but I will no longer be buying these since Ebay was my main online store.

Received as a gift. It will not work anywhere we try to use it, in person and online. Just says con Waited for 30 minutes for customer service and no one picked up. We have tried everything the website said but it still doesn't work.

Received a gift card for my birthday, Tried to use It fresh out of the packaging and it was declined. Last 4 numbers on the card had been scratched off. Waited on customer service for over an hour. Once I got a person on the phone, she said she would need a copy of my ID, asked for the serial number on the card and then hung up on me.
