We went with Vault despite its ratings downgrade. Two years in, with no claims and full payment of premiums, they have arbitrarily sent us notices of non-renewal. They gladly took our mandatory "contributions" to their reciprocal. Don't waste your time or money on this cheesy company. There are far better options for affluent insureds than these jokers.
A high-net worth P&C insurance company with promising success due to their age and market entry, but currently providing poor quality service by hiring a lot of college grads with no industry experience and working them to death without licensing. Competitive rates for HNW clients in certain markets and products, but don't be shocked if there is ever a payment issue and you have to wait several months for a resolution while they track down the paper trail. Highly disorganized, but will certainly be a company worth partnering with once they sell out or merge with a more established entity and establish some type of workflow structure.
We had a water leak loss on April 2,2023 - it is now December 19th - and the house is still in shambles. Vault hired a terrible clean up/demo company - so we ended up with a massive mold issue, and they had to hire a second company to basically tear the house down to the studs (It's 12,000 sq ft, and 3 story) Our bathroom tiles popped out, due to the water logged drywall, the wood floors buckled, etc. On top of that the 2nd demo company has NOT been paid anything (they were done in July or August). The Restoration company has NOT been paid anything, nor has Vault talked to them about the estimate they submitted for review in early August! I get promises for updates, which are not met. I am ignored until I email or call. And then I get a promise for the same update in another week. I am told payments are made, and then weeks later told payments WILL be made. So far, NO payments to the contractors, (other than a few small cleaning bills) I am so frustrated after 8 1/2 months - and there is probably another YEAR to go.
