They lured us in with a written promise of at least a 10% saving vs our current supplier. We ended up being charged £3,000 for 150 reams of copy paper (£19.99 for a ream vs £2.69 from our previous supplier). They gave 'free' gifts to try and make sure whoever is ordering doesn't look too closely at the fact that you are suddenly paying way over the odds! Our Office Manager ended up convicted on fraud charges but these pond dwellers talked their way out of it!
