“Worst Customer Service I've ever encountered”

Lisa B.
10/7/24

She was so rude couldn't pronounce her own name and wouldn't send me to her supervisor. It sounded like she was outside and couldn't speak good English. Wanted me to send birth certificates that sounded like a scam. I ended up getting my son's card activated but with the worst customer service I've ever encountered in my life so far.

My card was locked after A WEEK of using. I called & they told me I needed to send proof of identification so I sent proof & my card is still locked! It's been nearly 2 WEEKS! Ive called several times and I'm told the same thing each time. "We don't have an update, call us again in 2 days." What is wrong with you wisely… horrible horrible horrible. I can't even use my money, absolutely ridiculous. When my card gets unlocked, I'm leaving. Horrible customer service.

I had fraud on my Wisely card and I cannot get a form emailed to me. I was told I had to have it mailed. This is such an inconvenience when someone has stolen your money and you have to wait for snail mail to get a form. Other institutions will email you this info. So 2 weeks late - NO FORM. Called again and was told to check back in a few days to see if it can be approved to email. What the hell is going on?
WORST SERVICE EVER! As soon as I get my funds back (if I ever do, I have no faith in this company) I will close this card and never deal with this mess again. DO NOT GET THIS CARD -

Tip for consumers:
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
TAKING UP TO 90 DAYS TO INVESTIGATE FRAUD WITH NO
TEMPORARY REIMBURSEMENT
HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION

DO NOT GET THIS CARD!!!

Wisely is the most unprofessional online banking and business I've ever dealt with. If your card isn't sent to you, you'll have to wait continuously for more cards to potentially come. If your card doesn't come there is no way for your money to be moved to other accounts it's ridiculous. Not to mention the customer service is horrible not a lot of information is given on your account if they can't assist you they'll hang up. I don't recommend this company to anyone.

Wisely will hold your money hostage and take funds from your account. I have over 200 dollars they will not give me access to in anyway and from what I have read on other reviews, it will stay this way until one day I check the account and some or all of the money is gone. Dont use under any circumstances. Actual criminals.

Tip for consumers:
Criminal scheme that I have no clue as to why has not been shut down.

They claim that you have access to thousands of surcharge-free in network ATM's but then tell you that all ATM withdrawals are subject to a $3.50 fee. It's not even the ATM that is charging the fee, it's Wisely. Oh yeah and their customer service sucks too!

I want the world to know that Wisely steals money from their customers by placing charges on their costumer's accounts using transactions with businesses they normally use. On February 1 my account was charged with 2 duplicate charges from Uber and I hadn't used their services since December 23,2023. I contacted Uber to demand documentation for those transactions and they revealed that they had no record of the transactions.

Wisely refunded 3 of the transactions and claims it's going to take up to March 1 to resolve the final transaction. I called to have this resolved and the first costumer service agent hung up in my face. The second one provided the details of their investigation claiming the last duplicate is gong to take more time to resolve.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH WISELY! THEY'RE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN HOW THEY ADDRESS THEIR CUSTOMERS AND CRIMINAL IN HOW THEY MANAGE YOUR MONEY!

My card somehow comes up missing (understandable) so I call wisely to see if I can get assistance in regards to how I can transfer my funds to another account, then... after the funds were transfered, I planned on ordering another wisely card. Instead, the foreigner I was speaking to, had chosen to freeze my account (with $347.00) still on it. I have to call back, to talk to another foreigner who issued me a new card. I pay the extra $35 plus $6 for something else... so altogether $41.00 to get it shipped overnight. Guess what?... 3 days later and no card. Can't get to my own hard-earned money. Im contacting law enforcement. Someone NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THIS COMPANY.

I've had to replace my card 10 times using this company. If your employer asks if you want this turn it down. They aren't helpful, lack information that is mostly basic. Rude and discourteous, they are a financial nightmare. I promise you this take the chance and place your money here and you will regret it. Go to the Facebook page and see how any complaints are written there. If you do have this as a banking option just know it's a matter of time before your money is lost or stolen. I definitely recommend having a lawyer look into this company.

I've been waiting to activate my card for 2 hours. The first time someone answered and hung up quickly, the second time, a lady answered and said that my employer "cancelled your card" I'm like how can that be possible when he literally just handed to me. So now i have to wait 7-10 business days for another card meanwhile my gas tank is on E smh. Worthless customer service reps. They don't care about their customers

Tip for consumers:
Opt for checks only from your employer because this company is garbage

Someone hack my account and ordered football ticket to a game in Philadelphia for $484. I live in Missouri, why would I travel to Philly for a football game? Contacted Wisely about it 3 months ago and filed a fraud report. Finally last week received a response that there was no fraud on that transaction. I only bring home about $800 a month why would I spend $484 dollar on football tickets and travel over 2000 miles round trip? IDK who else to go to but after reading reviews I think a class action suit is in order.

I originally got this card because they said you get your direct deposit up to 2 days early. This was not really completely true. While the money did hit my account two days early, it did not clear so I could use it until Friday (my normal payday).

But my big issue is after I had used the card for well over 6 months. Out of no where they locked my card and my account and said that I need to confirm that I am over 18 years old (not sure why this was not done to begin with - but whatever). So they told me I need to submit two proofs of identity to them. SO I send my drivers license and passport. Which is what they told me would work. After 2 months my money is still being held and they will not unlock my account. They now tell me I need to submit my social security card along with another form of ID. I lost my social security card a long time ago and need the money now.

Beyond frustrated!

Terrible customer service that gives no real answers. They locked my card without me giving total explanation of the situation. Which I resolved the following business day from Apple.com of all institutions. They returned my funds immediately without a 90day investigation. I've been paid twice from my new employer and still can't access my funds. Wisely is the worst online banking I have ever dealt with. The ATM fees are ridiculous and there are no free ones available…

It takes over 2 weeks to get a replacement card if you've had fraudulent activity on your account. They'll try to charge you for the new card and your funds will be frozen for the entire duration of the time. If you file a claim prepare yourself for no income for a couple of weeks. You should also know that you will not be reimbursed for 90 days. Actually it's been 90 days for me and the jury is still out on me being reimbursed at all. I honestly have another fraud transaction, however reporting it is to costly. I have to transfer the funds from this degenerate account faster than the criminal can access my funds. It's less of an inconvenience to pay for the crackhead that skimmed my card than to file another claim with Wisley.
