WorldRemit stole my money. I wanted to send money toThailand, but they sent me an email where they told me the transaction could not be done, because they claimed that the receipient's details were incorrect. But I sent money to the same receipient with them before - with exactly the same detals. The first time the money was transferred as they should. Then I asked WorldRemit to cancel the last transaction since they claimed the detailes were incorrect. In my WorldRemit account, it showed that the transaction was cancelled. So I sent the money again - with another company. WolrldRemit have not returned my money. When I am contacting them to ask where my money is, they claim that they have transferred the money to the receipient - despite I asked the to cancel it and they confirmed the cancellation. The receipient did NOT get the money. I did NOT get my money back.
DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY!
Now I am using Western Union. They are faster. They are cheaper. They make the transaction much more easy. AND: They can be trusted.
DO NOT USE WorldRemit! You can expect your money will disappear in mysterious ways..

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Let me tell you, don't even try their services it's not worth your time. Just trying to save a few bucks instead of sending through paypal took me so much trouble instead. I sent my payment on 8 Oct and I had to continuously contact the customer service and helpline regarding why the transaction has not been sent yet. I would say it took me more than 5 hours in total. The chatbox would automatically close for no reason. One time, when I contacted the customer service, they asked me to send my selfie to confirm my identity. Yet on their website and the initial email, there was NO PLACE to send the selfie. On 12 Oct, when I contacted the customer service for probably the 4th or 5th time, they asked me to call my bank to confirm if my transfer has been made and not held on for security purposes. I called, there was no issue and my transaction went through on 9 Oct. On 13 Oct, I found out that my transaction was cancelled on their part. Its ridiculous how long I had to wait for the transaction to BE CANCELLED. They did not give me any reason for the cancellation. I had to spend time to once again for the 6th time, call the customer service to ask why and they said MAYBE it was because of the late sending of selfie, and they actually couldn't confirm why it was canceled. Hello, why didn't you inform me to send the selfie immediately if that was the problem from the start? I would have sent on the day of my transaction. It's ridiculous how they allow you to send them money to their bank account but do not allow you to transfer money since they have not "identify your identity". So what was the solution? They asked me to order another transaction and pay them the fee AGAIN. They said the previous transaction will be refunded to me in 3 to 7 working days. Do I trust them to order another transaction and pay again? No. If I do not receive my refund in 7 days, I would consider contacting the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

I've been using WorldRemit for over a year without any issues—until recently. Suddenly, they changed their internal process and started demanding completely unnecessary documents, even though my account was already fully verified and working fine.
Now, they're asking for ridiculous paperwork like government certificates and utility bills. I can't send money without going through this frustrating, time-wasting process.
What makes it worse? Their customer service is absolutely useless—just the same robotic replies without any proper help. It feels like they don't care about loyal customers at all.
It's beyond frustrating to deal with a company that messes up your ability to send money when you need it most. If you value your time and sanity, avoid WorldRemit. They clearly don't respect their users anymore.
