Dear Inhumane Worldremit Company,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply concerning incident that occurred during a recent interaction with WorldRemit's customer service team.

During a phone call with a WorldRemit manager, I was shocked and appalled to hear them explicitly state that they would prioritize following company processes over addressing a genuine emergency situation. Despite my plea for assistance, their response indicated a disturbing disregard for human life and empathy.

As a loyal customer of WorldRemit, I have always appreciated the convenience and efficiency of your services. However, this experience has left me deeply troubled and questioning the values of the company.

I strongly urge WorldRemit to review its customer service protocols and prioritize compassion and flexibility in situations where lives may be at stake. No company should ever prioritize bureaucratic processes over human life and well-being.

I sincerely hope that this incident can be thoroughly investigated and appropriate measures taken to prevent such distressing situations from occurring in the future.

Worldremit means service failure. They are liars & incompetent.
Their so-called verification process is a joke: they have been messing around for 6 days requesting the same documents (passport & ID) several times. While they were wasting my time, I made a transfer to the Philippines with Remitly & the money was received in less than 15 minutes. Just AVOID worldremit and use
Any other similar company. No-one can be worse than worldremit.

World remit Germany has refused to refund back my money after doing all they asked me including sending them a bank statement.Customer service is very rude,they have hanged up on me several times.What do I do?

Phone World remit couple of time and waited over an hour still no answer. Just wanted to verify why my receiver didn't get the money. Out to their online chat, they disconnected after few minutes. Very bad experience.

I sent a sister yesterday who got stuck because her wallet was stolen. I was supposed to send him $ 500 USA. I provide my identity document. Then they asked for the recipient's ID and then told me they should investigate within 48 hours and release the money. They said there was another person with the same name who had committed fraud, just to screw you up. There is no transparency of their operation not even knowing where they keep this sensitive information that you provide,. You are at their mercy, it is a real trap. I will never use this service again, that's all

First two times worked o right after they cancelled my transaction for some " technical issues" after that nobody gives you any response, hang the phone of you after waited for 30 minutes every time you call.
Copy attached if the email they sent about the technical issue, after that I didn't hear from them anymore.

The supposedly instant cash transfer for collection is a load of rubbish and trading standards should step in and get this company to pull its pants up,
I sent money to family who are waiting in the place to pick it up 25 miles from where they live and have now closed! Leaving them penniless and stranded,

The 6000 pesos came out of my uk account via debut card instantly and the transaction still has in process! 6 hours now and nothing for a supposedly instant transfer/collection,

Been on the "hotline" number in uk for 1 hour on hold so far, sent a email which of course has not been answered,

Whole damn waste of money and every ones time, stressful, will use western union

I have perfect credit history, cash reserves in the bank, no criminal history, no ties to terrorism, no history of subversive political activism or anything along those lines, and these folks promptly closed my account and refused to give an explanation beyond, "you don't meet our criteria." Really? Why? And why won't you tell me? So ridiculous!

Followup:

And now I am getting notices saying that the transaction is just delayed, but my account is definitely closed, and I don't want this transaction to go through now, because I already sent the funds another way. And it remains to be seen if these folks will ever return the funds from this transaction: Based upon many of the other reviews below, these folks seem quite happy to cancel transactions for no good reason and keep the money.

World Remit practices discriminatory practices when money is being sent to African territories - specifically, Nigeria. They take the money from your account and then puts a freeze on your account. Hold time 25 minuets to get the "transaction verification" on the line - a department who thinks they work for the CIA - asking questions that are not there business. I provided the reason at transaction initiation - I'm not about to prove that's the reason I'm sending $300. They are just as trashy as the new owners of MoneyGram and will never again receive me nor my family members business. I'll continue to pay my personal bank the wire fee to avoid witnessing the excrement of humanity at play. Prejudice imps!

These chiselers misleadingly claimed to only charge me a fee of $1.99 USD for sending $ overseas -- yet they actually charged me many times that amount ($18.51 USD) by taking advantage of me on the exchange rate. Meanwhile, they have the gall to claim that their "core mission has always been to empower economic migrants" -- while their entire business model is built on parasitically siphoning funds from immigrant remittances. Genuinely shameful!

Oh, and they're only reachable by phone. Ignore the outgoing recording's claim that you'll be on hold for "five to ten minutes" -- it'll be at least a half-hour wait. Enjoy that hold music...
