“They cheat”

My credit score is getting better and better but Experian reports my ratings going down as I move from one category to a lesser category. When I check it out they want money so I can dig deeper into what I'm sure are false reports. You guys are scaring people just so you can get more business from them. Merica the great.

Got a letter from AT&T saying they leaked out information onto the dark web and offered one year credit monitoring thru Experian. Set up the account yesterday and cannot log into it today and cannot get a hold of a live person. Personally, I wouldn't even give them 1 Star if I could! Nothing but a freaking scam!

Autocar use this platform for information. Experian as usual has got it wrong, classified my car as a N. Where they get that rubbish from is a mystery. Maybe some idiot in South Africa who is paid peanut money, no education either. Experian are not a trustworthy bunch, they could not tell the truth if it hit them in the face. Yobs or junkies is the UK rating for Exoeriam

Their telephone system literally makes it impossible to reach a human being. I've tried getting my annual credit report, and while the other two agencies, Equifax and Trans Union, both work without issue, Experian would not create a report for myself, or my wife or my mother. The only way I would give this company one star is if there's no option to give them zero stars.

Absolutely horrible. Does not deserve even 1 star. Constantly pushing to buy more services and selling credit cards that I don't need. Impossible for 2 people with advanced college degrees to figure out how to put a fraud alert on the account because a 10 digit credit report number is required but not provided. This system itself is fraud.

Tip for consumers:
Just plain horrible. Not at all user friendly or even useful

I got Experian boost hoping to boost my credit score by a small amount but I had my name legally changed partway through the process and it is impossible to get fixed. I used their online upload: doesn't work, tried to fax them: their inbox is full, I sent my private information in the mail and called several times with no success. I am very frustrated that this has put me so far behind in my credit improvement process.

Tip for consumers:
I really wish there was any way to contact someone working at the Experian headquarters to help or a better system with these very simple very common account changes

%90 of updates you receive from the Experian app are just fake. They just want you to log-in and eventually buy their services. After you get fooled and buy their subscription, they have nothing useful for you. Even the reported credit score is off. Each login takes three minutes on my phone. I think they wrote their whole system in Python. It is probably the slowest website I have ever seen in my life.

There is no option for online (email/chat) customer support. You have to call and speak with someone who continues trying to upsell you the different options that Experian has, and there is a major language barrier because they outsource their CSR's. I called to cancel my membership after I learned that I could not cancel the 7 day free trial on the website. They make it difficult in hopes that they can squeeze more money from you. Wish I had read reviews first, but thankfully I was not charged because I used an empty account to reserve the membership.

There is no way this company actually investigates disputes, at least those submitted online. They wait a couple days then close the dispute with no change to the information. Meanwhile, both Equifax and TransUnion deleted the information I disputed. The only option would be to sue them, but of course they know we can't afford to do that so they can get away with such a poor business practice.

Can't add a new card to pay my subscription to your premium service. The current card was stolen and had to be canceled.(fraud detection my azz.) So, because your app won't allow me to add a "valid" expiration date(see pic, note the lack of option to add a slash.). I cannot continue my subscription with you. **Also, I've requested my credit union to be listed on your app so I can use boost for two years now to no avail. I guess I'm done with you.

NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR HALFA55ED SERVICE. Experian.com is no where near worth the 25 dollars a month. Get a clue. Since I wasn't able to speak with a human, I shared my post as a review.
Also, looking around the app for Android, you'll notice several places where script is overlayed onto others making it illegible. See second pic.

Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time efforts or money on experian credit monitoring.

Was turned down by a credit card company due to Experian credit research. Card company said I would need to contact Experian to answer any questions. Tried multiple phone numbers would only get a useless recording that would not connect me to a live person. Went to website to obtain a free report, had to create an account and still would not create an account or provide a report!

Experian kept sending me these pre approved credit cards. I wanted 1 more credit card. Well I was denied and Discover did a hard pull on my credit. Damaged it significantly. I'm pissed. They are getting paid by these companies to do this. The worst company ever. I'm done with them.

I had to freeze my credit a few months ago. Now I am unable to log into my account to unfreeze it, which is blocking me from acquiring utilities in my name. The system no longer recognizes my password, my email, phone number, and has no number to speak to a live person or online chat. I have spent 2 hours on this. Where does this leave me? What recourse do we have?

Tip for consumers:
How can I access my account so I can live my life and connect my utilities?

I just called for the 17th time to get my phone number corrected with these stupid people. I ask the woman who had very broken English where I was calling and she told me their office was in Allen texas. Beware of these people, they are NOT honest. That woman was clearly from another country and would not give me any info.

OK, I got an alert that my credit score has decreased. Can't log in because I forgot my password. I gave them my phone number so I could get a verification code by text, but they don't send the code. I ask to verify a different way. Answer the question, get no further. Terrible website. Terrible service. They should be put out of business for messing with people's financial security and peace of mind.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site. It is as good as bogus.

I see by reading other comments I'm not alone when it comes to a large disparity between my credit score with Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. Experian is usually between 25 to 40 points lower versus the other two... and sometimes more. Trying to get an answer to this from a live person at Experian is an exercise in futility if, in fact, you actually speak to a live representative. Fortunately, from my experience most financial institutions are fully aware of these disparities and don't use Experian services. A wise choice though is to alert the financial representative you are working with of this issue and simply ask them to verify your scores with Equifax and/or TransUnion. If they're worth their salt they will use your best score.

I keep on getting the feeling that someone is half-successfully hacking my experian.com account basically since it's inception. When contacted, the company really didn't care very much at all. Using this site makes your identity vulnerable to theft.

"30 day free trial"... except will charge you $30 at 7 days in. They did not provide any services within the 10 days I've had the account thus far. They took a ton of my personal information though. And suspiciously I've received record number of scam calls since I signed up. Buyer beware.

Went through their process to find affordable car insurance in the area. It took an egregious amount of time. Not only did they give me a single quote, just one, for a single company, but the quote was 4 times the amount per month that I got gerring actual quotes from actual companies. Experian is a scam, dont use them.

Experian makes it extremely, and I mean hardest I've ever experienced, getting in contact with a representative/agent. After finally figuring out how to "trick" the system to be able to talk to someone, the agent contacted was incompetent, barely spoke English, and unable to resolve the system issue that prevented me from logging on. All things considered I would rate Experian as the worst company with whom I have ever had any interaction. It is scary that they manage credit for a large population. I doubt my data is at all safe in their hands.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use Experian if it can be avoided.

It's practically impossible to get to speak with a real human being at Experian. No matter what number you press on the phone prompts, you can't get to a human. They claim to also offer chatting with a live agent on their website, but there's constantly a message stating that there are no agents available at this time, no matter what time of morning/day/evening you check it. Lastly, you can type them a message and hope they reply. So far, they haven't. I sent a message days ago and have not heard anything back. Their customer service isn't bad, it simply doesn't exist. There is none. They would first have to have customer service in order to be either good or bad. Just awful for people like me who are concerned about my stolen information.

Not only is there a score always far lower than the other two credit reporting agencies that they try to sell you a whole lot more stuff than the others do as well and Boost is nothing but a scam. Can't even log into the website that sends me the username and then I put in the username they just sent me and it says it doesn't recognize it so bad just so bad go out of business if you have any decency at all experian!
