I returned a purchase to Saks and received an email that it was received by August 6. When I called after two weeks I was told that I would not receive my money for 30 days. A new policy that wasn't on their website. Unbelievable and unconscionable!

HORRIBLE HORRIFIC return policy. I had ordered 5 gowns (bc there are simply nothing in stores). I literally returned (4) of them the day after received. They received them. So they have the merchandise back it's already a month for the 1 dress & still NO refund. I call I chat they state 30 days. Which is ridiculous If they have merchandise and you can clearly see NEVER worn as that Robbin is attached still and obviously returned the day after received. They charge you to send back as well. So by the time you get your refund it's even costing more bc your getting finance charges on that money TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and NO one seems to care. Mind you this is over $ 2000.00. Never Again. ZERO customer service
ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I received a return confirmation email on 7/11/2024 stating it will take 10-14 business days to receive a refund on an expensive pair of shoes. 16 business days later, I reached out and they are asking for another 21 BUSINESS DAYS just to give me a refund. I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! They are holding several hundred of my dollars, this is highly unethical and unprofessional. PITIFUL to say the very least! 0 stars! Please see attached for proof.
I usually don't write reviews for bad purchases, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this one. I wish I could rate them as zero. I purchased a Strathberry bag on August 24,2024, which was supposed to be delivered by August 29. I was excited to receive my bag, but when it arrived on the 29th, I discovered that Saks had sent me the wrong item—a Versace robe instead of the bag I ordered.
It was difficult to reach a live representative, so I resorted to using the virtual chat feature. The representative I spoke with asked me to send a picture of the incorrect item, which I did. He then offered me the option to either keep the robe for 10% of its price or return it to Saks. I requested that they send me the original item I ordered, as it was not my fault that the wrong item was sent, but the rep informed me that they only handle returns, not reorders. I also asked if they could offer a discount since I was looking forward to using the bag that weekend, but he said no. The most they could do was waive the return shipping fee (as if the mistake was mine).
I returned the item on the same day I received it, August 29,2024. On September 3, I received an email from Saks stating that they had received my return and would process a refund after reviewing the package. Today, I chatted with another representative via text, only to be told that the refund could take up to 30 days.
This experience has been extremely disappointing. SaksFifthAvenue has lost a customer. I've shopped with other stores that acknowledge their mistakes and make efforts to correct them, but Saks has been the worst. Be aware that if you receive the wrong item from Saks, they won't reorder the correct one for you. Instead, you'll have to go through the hassle of returning the wrong item, wait weeks for a refund, and then reorder the item yourself. I have a case # with them and I hope they see it. Case #*******
I am a platinum member with Saks. I will never shop at Saks again. I purchased a pair of Valentino shoes ($520) that broke the first time I wore them. I tried returning them to the store, and was told I have to send damaged items back and can't return at the store? What? I sent them back, and after 4 weeks received them back saying they would not return because they had been worn. There was no signs of wear, other than broken thong. I called, and they refused to credit my account and I was told the warehouse has the final word. What? I disputed on my credit card, and they said it was not returned within their return policy time frame. This was not a return, this is damaged merchandise. Do not ever shop at Saks online. There are plenty of other reputable stores for me to spend my money
My first experience with Saks Fifth Avenue has been very disappointing. We do not have a store in my area and can only purchase online. I was very excited to order a Farm Rio dress, as I have other dresses of the same brand. The quality is typically fantastic. Unfortunately I received the dress with a broken zipper. I was so disappointed because it fit perfectly and was beautiful otherwise.
I contacted customer to inquire about an exchange, even offered to pay for the replacement until the damaged item was received and then refunded. Sadly, customer service said they do not do replacements and I would have to return the item, receive a refund, and then purchase again. Sort of a pain but not the end of the world. Customer service asked for pictures of the damaged zipper, which I provided. They started a return ticket and emailed me a return label. I immediately boxed the item and shipped it the next day with their return label. I waited a week and had not received any return notifications. Luckily I saved the receipt from Fed Ex with the tracking number. The packages showed delivered. I contact customer service again, they stated they had no record of initiating a return, I provided the tracking number of the label they provided, and the representative said it was an incorrect tracking number and couldn't be tracked. I emailed them a screenshot of the tracking showing proof of delivery and a signature from their return department. I called again a day later to follow up and they had to escalate my return ticket to a manager. After 2 days of no response I called again and was told my ticket was under review and I should receive my credit in 5-7 days. I called again 8 days later to be told it was still under review. At that point I contacted PayPal and made a dispute. Needless to say this has been a one month process and I finally received full reimbursement from PayPal, Saks made it easier as they never responded to PayPal's request for information.
Buyers beware, Saks has absolutely terrible to deal with. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. I'm baffled how they manage to stay in business!

Every single time I order from Saks recently there is a problem. From coupon codes being lies, a new cardholder offer not being given to me a second time when THEY "sold out" of a pricey purse that I attempted to purchase, canceled items in several of my orders
That have "sold out," to two problems now with their Klarna service, I think I am about done. I have already been steering clear of them when they upped their free shipping threshold to $200 and on top of that charge you $9.95 per return. Talk about greed! At least give your loyal long time customers some perks around those ridiculous shipping costs. I have been shopping at Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's lately, both of which I've had ZERO problems with and they offer free shipping and returns. Saks is digging its own grave with its customers. I personally have really pulled back from shopping with them… it's not worth their hassles or constantly losing my $ when I simply want to return an item that doesn't fit! Since they closed so many stores I have to return thru a shipping service! They suck! Steer clear or you're asking for problems that you don't need.
Saks Fifth is absolutely horrible. I purchased a jersey jumpsuit online. The item came and I could tell I was probably going to return it. Saw that it had some loose threading along the seam and returned the item. The first time I sent it, they returned it stating the damage was caused by customer wearing the item. I called the representative, they told me I was supposed to email a picture prior to returning if the item was damaged. After stating nowhere in their return policy does it state that and emailing pictures of the damage, they sent me a second return label and case number. I get an email a few weeks later of denial of return, again saying it was worn but now saying it had dirt on the leg bottom. I called again, the representative was kind but at the end of the day unhelpful as she kept repeating a third return would only result in the warehouse holding the item. She then said I could return it in the store if it's within 30 days, which it obviously was outside of the window. This whole process was about 3 months. I have only purchased an item from Saks once before for earrings and was only doing so for the Amex credit. Will definitely have to let this credit go as this all was not worth it at all. Avoid this scam of a store
Tip for consumers:
Look at the items in the store. If there's a damage on a shipped item they'll claim it was done by the customer and will not give you a refund
I ordered a $1000 dress to wear to my daugher's wedding; I returned it 3 days later in PRISTINE condition. I called them 3 weeks later after no refund and they said they received it, and would research why no refund yet. Then it turned up on my front step a few days later RUINED! Drink spills all over it, blue pen mark, zipper pulled out! They said I wore it, ruined it, and then asked for a refund! The enclosed note also said they hoped I would understand why no refund. After multiple calls to Customer Service they said it's really my word against the Receiving Warehouse that HAS A F RATING WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! When I protested the charge with my credit card they said this is a growing trend with Saks Fifth Avenue... COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY! Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman would never do this!
They are as bad as everyone says they are. If you buy anything make sure to use a credit card so that you can file a chargeback if it's not like it's supposed to be. Good luck with these pieces of crap

I can’t believe a company like saks would have such poor customer service . Truly stunning..

"I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company, which I feel compelled to share. I returned a pair of shoes over three months ago, which the company confirmed they received. However, despite multiple checks with PayPal and direct communications with the company, I have yet to receive my refund. Both entities claim that a refund was processed, but my account tells a different story. It's disheartening to see that not only am I out of pocket for the cost of the shoes, but the shoes themselves are no longer in my possession. Buyers should exercise caution when dealing with this company, as their practices have proven to be questionable in my experience."
I recently attempted to return a coat bought online for my daughter, but unfortunately, the process was far from smooth. The store warehouse rejected my return, claiming that the coat had been worn. However, they provided no details or photographic evidence to support this assertion.
Despite multiple calls to Customer Service and email exchanges—including pictures I took to verify the coat's original condition—no resolution was reached. The lack of transparency in their decision-making process left me surprised and frustrated.

I made a 1606.00 return to Saks through Klarna online. I purchased Christian louboutin tennis size 10 they sent 43 to big. Ordered a Cinq black jacket to small and cheap.395.00 they lost the jacket it was in box with the other items. No one can account for jacket keep saying they didn't receive some one stole that jacket at Saks they didn't scan it. The black pants cheap and to big. I paid 642.00 down payment I haven't received a refund yet. This is hiend store and high quality purchase. 1606.00 where is my refund? Where is Jacket? Shame On Saks. Some one name Emily Essner is suppose to be in charge and Mark Metrick they are rich I'm on fixed income saved to purchase these items to be cheated Shame On Saks and Klarna. Messing over disabled and elderly person. I want my refund.
Tip for consumers:
Yes I have been trying to correct this matter since 2/21/24. Saks keeps saying they didn’t receive jacket they did . It was in box with the other items . Can I see the video of warehouse workers scanning the items .

For what Saks charges you'd think their customer service would be great, right? Wrong. I've never seen worst customer service any where. Even Walmart has better customer service than Saks. I wanted to write this review so others know that this is not a company that cares in the slightest. They dont care that you are a paying customer and have a valid issue. They are rude, idiotic and not understanding in the least. I refuse to support a company that doesn't value the customers that keep it going. They don't even give free shipping anymore. Saks is a money hungry trash of a company and they have lost so many customers because of this. I will personally never shop at Saks again. There are so many other stores that sell the exact same things Saks does but with MUCH better customer service. We are cosigning Saks' awful behavior by continually supporting them and that ends today.

DO NOT SHOP THERE! It used to be a trustworthy store/website but not anymore! I returned pants and email stated that a refund will take up to 7 days. I didn't get my money back and didn't get any response to my emails. So I chatted with representative and she told me it will take up to 14 days. 14 days passed and nothing. I chatted with another representative who told me up to 21 days. When I brought up the previous story he just repeated himself like a robot that it will take up to 21 days.
The pants I've got was the last one, they put it back on their website in the same day as they got it back but didn't proceed with the refund.
Think twice!
I received my order from Saks online, and upon opening it noticed severe damage to my item. I immediately contacted Saks l, made them aware of the issue, provided pictures as requested by the customer service operator and was sent a return label, which was prepaid. The item was excepted for return due to damage. The same day I received the item I returned it within two hours! Fast-forward a week later to March 6,2024. I received an email stating they have accepted my return. I waited two more weeks and did not receive a refund, so I contacted them. They informed me that it would take 10 to 14 business days, it is now March 28,2024, which is exactly 17 days after they accepted my return and I still do not have a refund. I reached out to customer service which is of course overseas operator, (they give them no power to refund) so I was told I would have to wait up to another seven business days for them to file an escalation so I can get a refund! This is beyond ridiculous for a multi million dollar luxury company! The 10 to 14 business day return policy is ridiculous enough as it is but it only adds insult to injury that I have to go out of my way to send multiple emails and make multiple phone calls after the 17th day only to be told it could take another seven business days, or quite possibly longer to get the money that they owed me because they are waiting to hear from their vendor""! The bottom line is, I will never order from sack again and you should strongly consider it as well! If I could give zero stars I would. Also, you can't get anyone on the phone that has any kind of authority within the company, they do not give out names to managers etc. NO corporate numbers with people who are accountable. It's a specifically designed beehive to send you around in a circle chasing your own tail until they feel like giving you your money back or you forget and they keep it! You have to contact your bank and do a charge back which I quite possibly might have to do to get my refund!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from Saks 5th Avenue online!

Purchased a blue shirt of this online store. They sent me a RED shirt. I reached out to them to ask them to send me the right shirt and I will mail back the wrong one. They refused! After one hour of chat, finally I spoke to a supervisor who told me my only option is to return the red shirt, then wait up to 14 days to get a refund and if I want I can buy the one I originally wanted. This is THE WORST customer service ever. This company does not deserve to be in business. They do not care about their customers. UNBELIEVABLE! I am stuck with a shirt I hate, or I have to return it and wait 2 weeks to get my money back. That seems like the worst business model in the history of business! Terrible terrible customer service.
Tip for consumers:
Terrible company. No care for their customers at all!
I have never ever experienced any other company worse than Saks in my life. I put two items which I received in one box and sent them back using their shipping label in the same box. One item got missing on their side and they do not give me the refund. They use Fedex for shipping so I do not have the weight of the box as UPS does. They are two heavy items and the weight cannot be the same if only one item in the box. They refused to give my money back after contact them for 6 times. Someone else on Consumer affairs had the exact same problem as me and was thinking about a legal action.
In order to solve one problem, I called customer service 3 times already. They told me that they would send me an email twice but I did not get any. One of them was so rude. They messed up with my returns so I am counting more phone calls to customer service.

I messaged about a purchase I made they said they sent item to carrier then I get the order canceled days later. I message support again to ask what happened they brushed me off Rudely and ended the chat multiple times. I spent thousands of dollars here to receive such horrible customer service
Saks has entered the 21st century and offers a well-balanced online shopping experience. They have enough features on their website that it allows you to get a sense of what you're buying if you don't have a chance to drop into one of their stores. But at the same time it's easy enough to use you don't get lost. I'll browse the Saks site and if something catches my eye, I'll show up at one of their stores to have a look in person.
I purchased some of the dresses there, very comfortable indeed, the service was fascinating, I will never regret about the clothes that they handle. They are very modern.
Prices are too high as compared with other sites, but it's always fresh merchandise of high quality.
I am happy to report that I haven't had any problems with orders in 2022. Nothing has been canceled, and orders have arrived promptly.
Tip for consumers:
Markdowns can be amazing.

Now that they may possibly file for bankruptcy, do not order from them unless you are prepared to be disappointed. They will confirm your order, hold it as "processed" for weeks, keep changing the shipping date, then cancel with no explanation, Saks has done this to me THREE times in a row. They are knowingly selling drastically marked down items as "pre-sale." They apparently do not, and never will have these items in stock. After cancelling multiple times, they then try to offer you a pathetic 15% discount-on a purchase that you will probably never receive. I will NEVER order from them again, and I intend to IMMEDIATELY cancel my Saks credit card and Saks Mastercard. It's pitiful to see this once great retailer sink so low.
