Today i tried to update a few things and at the end i had to pay 2,70. Which was fine until i received an email saying 'Your payment was declined', and at the same time i see the transaction as finished in by bank statements. Not only i could not download the PDF but also got scammed into some kind of subscription.

I was about to cancel my subscription but Kristina Garay advice me that it has other features that may help me find a job so she refunded the money to my account and gave me a cheaper subscription for 1 month so she was very helpful and understanding.

Today I came across advisor Sebastian.

There 14-days trial that I have paid for RM9.95. Now today, 8th August 2023, my bank account has been deducted RM 98.50. I thought that they will send me an email or inform me about the charges that they will do to me like 3 days before or a week before the charge. Now I need my money back, RM 98.50, and I wanted to cancel my subscription. Please I NEED MY MONEY BACK!

I was billed a total of $213.30 for 9 months after my $2.70 for a 14-day trial period expired without realizing it. Zety did not notify me or send me any e-receipts for each time they billed, nor did they notify me that the service had automatically renewed. I discovered this by checking my card activity on the bank application and discovering unusual charges that spanned from 25/03/2023 to 4/11/2023. So, on November 4,2023, I wrote to customer support requesting a full refund for each month they had billed me and asked them to remove my billing information from their website because there was no activity on my account. It is impossible to remove your current billing information once you have submitted it on the website unless you add a new card for them to scam you. In addition, I contacted Zety via Facebook Messenger, and the social media team advised me to write an email to their customer service or submit a form on Zety and expect a response within 48 hours. Nobody has contacted me or responded to my email as of today. I have to call my bank to disable my card and issue me a new one. I believed I was the only one who had a terrible experience that couldn't be resolved. But I notice a lot of people on here are having the same issues. The customer care representative who responds to each review here merely defends themselves and does not actually solve anything. So, don't use Zety. Do not enter your credit card information on their website.
Stealing your money without your knowledge is their business model.

Good CV service, only thing I'd add a seperate work experience to past employment as for many graduates employment doesn't link to the industry you are applying for, as it's often summer work etc

Great tool for the CV creation, but I made it 4 stars due to the delay of the refund process, when you apply for the trial subscription after few days, Zety will fund you automatically for the next subscription.

4. Once you've checked the box, you'll be able to click the cancellation button without any problems.

I like the website and the template to build my resume with, don't get me wrong but I don't need this service all the time throughout the year so I wanted to cancel my subscription. "They," tell you just go under your account in your settings and cancel it. Easy right? Well, that button is a dead button that leads you nowhere, you can even see it in the source code on your accounts page. Wasn't very happy with that but whatever, there's a customer service line. Oh, that didn't work either?! Shocker. The final resort was email and they sent me a confirmation email saying it was canceled but the best part was... they never canceled it! They are still charging me 23.70 a month for a service that "they said" was canceled 3 months ago. Yup, oh, did I say I got a confirmation email saying that it was also canceled so they made me think I wasn't going to be billed again? I'll just say that again then. Oh, and you can't see your billing history on your account since that button is also a dead button according to the source code. I've been through this pain so I hope someone else learns to not use this service.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't, once they have your card they will hold it like its a pile of gold and forget about you

This website do not provide any button to cancel the subscription on your own. You wont receive any email for the renewal and you even forget you ever subscribed to it.
