Everything far exceeded my expectations. I was extremely happy with the final resume, cover letter, thank you letter, and LinkedIn profile. However, the writer I was assigned had-at time-a slow response to my emails. Other than that I was very satisfied.
Last week i was desperate and didn't have a resume. One week later and i've already had 3 interviews and got a job offer.
Lori, my writer, took my old resume and changed a few words, adding on my current position. She got several things wrong, gave me an attitude, and closed the account before I was ready. I guess so she could get paid. I emailed and chatted twice with staff who said they were waiting for me to tell them what was incorrect, after I pointed it out to them. I got frustrated, rightfully. The cover letter brings nothing unique to the table as its just a synopsis of the resume. I didn't even bother looking at what she wrote for my LinkedIn bio.
Besides that, the resume was bulky and used way too many words; nothing was consolidated. The format looked like an old word processing program. There was nothing attractive about it. As my friend said, it was overwhelming to look at. Any employer would have given up after one glance.
I'd take into consideration that companies pay for positive reviews on the internet and really look for a lot of reviews on several sites. Don't be fooled, Zipjob does not perform.
Poor customer service. Very hard to get in touch with the writer. Poor quality writing. TopResume is 100% better than this rip-off company. Not recommended to anyone!
I absolutely loved my resume once my writer completed it. Completely revised and professional. The only thing I had hoped for was to receive it quicker. I'm pretty impatient, though. Hank you!
Everything was timely and produced at a very high level. I especially appreciated the coaching session on interviewing to sharpen my delivery and approach. Very good value for the money.
I wasn't sure what to expect when first getting a revised copy of it. All I can say is that im thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back in the future after obtaining more experience.
I went with Zipjobs because it was highly rated. I have no idea why. I purchased the middle range package (about $180) and got a resume and cover letter review. The resume came back within a couple of days. I was excited until I opened it and saw why.
It was clear from the first moment that the "resume expert" did nothing but feed my old resume into an algorithm that spit out something canned. It was loaded with grammatical and spelling errors. Even worse, my most relevant experience was relegated to "other experience", completely degrading any value I offered. The summary they gave was completely fabricated and didn't match my resume at all. I'm not even 100% sure I dealt with anything other than a computer.
The only good thing I got was the resume template they used reads easier into ATS systems so when I upload it, the system actually reads and separates things out pretty well. But I paid 180 bucks for that.
I can see that people looking for basic, entry level jobs will probably have success using this company. Outside of that, don't bother. I wasted money, which bothers me.

No interviews in over 150 job applications. Not even a call. A new resume did not help in any way, and the additional money spent to solicit my resume to recruiters was a total scam.
