“Beware stemologica/beautemer SCAM”

Don't suffer in silence. Write to: Trading Standards, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ. If enough of us complain it will make for a strong case against them. Also try Citizens' Advice Bureau, 361 Midsummer Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 3HP. The company go by the name of Healthy Directions International and are based in the Czech republic. Tell them the dates, amount of money they took, which products, how you got 'suckered in'. Don't worry if you're not a good letter writer. We all need to complain to the right people to put a stop to them.

“Broken product”

Linda C.

Paid £15 postage and packing for delivery of some products and it was delivered in a cheap brown envelope. Product was smashed to pieces, lots of broken glass. I contacted customer services to make a complaint and was told that if I return the order I would have to pay a 're-stocking' fee. Advisor would not accept that the product was smashed. I contacted my credit card company to fight my case. I was refunded the product cost but lost postage cost. I will never order from that company again

Cancel your card right away and do not get the same card type replacement, as scam artists "push through" with payment on the new card.

What do they do with the "cream" you must send back, whether it'd be unused or partially used? The reason for the short time span on your "trial"? Mmmm... I wonder...(gag for the next woman who gets your left-overs).

One very dim star for Stemologica's scamming efforts.

My wife got taken advantage of on this same problem, so far their are many names their using,
24beaute.com and cellagenta. She's out about $500. Yes she can read, she's a legal secretary, but the way they do business is not right to take advantage of people, the print is so small i had to wear my reading glasses and magnify glass to read it. For any who like the product, do you really want to deal with this type of company. Rick

I was told I won a sample after completing a survey and I only had to pay shipping and handling of 4.95. After i received the product I realized I was know on auto refill and would be charged FULL price. I cancelled immediately but was told I had to return the sample I had received to not be charged. So after paying 12 dollars to return the product, I have spent close to 20 dollars for NOTHING! Beware...

Made no effort to say that I was actually signing up for a subscription. The online advertisement said I was getting the product for free and paying only shipping.

Thankfully I did not open the product as it was going to be a Christmas present and was able to send it back. Hopefully they will receive it and refund the $179 they took from my account.

Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY!!!!!

AVOID!!!!!

DO NOT MAKE ANY EFFORT TO OBTAIN STEMOLOGICA PRODUCTS!!!

THIS COMPANY RUNS ON CONSUMER TRUST AND TRICKS YOU INTO AN UNNECESSARY SUBSCRIPTION FOR A SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT!!!

Hello there,

So I was introduced to Stemologica and Beautemer Serum, when I had received an online offer for the free trial. Once I had filled out the information I was curious about the company and products. So I did a search on them and saw nothing but COMPLAINTS! I freaked out! I actually went back to read what the heck I said yes to, and sure enough I did see that there was a free14 day trial, and that if I choose to keep the products I would be charged 149.95. So I was super upset at first and thought I was going to be the next one to be scammed! So i immediately (like 10 min after saying yes to the trial) I emailed the company and told them I was NOT, NOT interested in the products and to please cancel my order immediately. I did receive an email back stating that the products have already been shipped out and to not worry, I had a full 14 days to try as much of the products that I wanted to and if I was not happy I could simply return any unused products back and not be charged. I was still very apprehensive about the whole thing that I immediately called my bank to have my card replaced with a new one just so I would not have to deal with trying to get any refunds back because I was not prepared to spend 150 bucks on skin care. Within a week I received the products. And I thought... hey since they allowed for me to use as much of the products as possible, then I decided to take quite a bit of each product and put them in containers I had at home, and I immediately put the original products back into their packaging and returned them back without any delay! I was not going to get scammed myself I thought. (oh and I forgot mention that the company actually gave me the physical address to return them to). So with that hassle behind me, the first night I used the products I FELL IN LOVE! I have been into face skin care since elementary school, thanks to my mother who taught me the importance of cleansing and moisturizing since I began kindergarten! I am now 37 years old and I have tried numerous products, from high end department stores like Lancome, Clinique, Shiesedo, etc. to Natural skin care products, and I always seem to have an acne issue or break outs from super sensitivity to the products. So when I put this stuff on my face and woke up the next day, the bumps on my face had diminished significantly. I was shocked! My skin seemed to react to this product in a positive way and I was super surprised. I had enough product to last over a month and I have to tell you, when I was coming to the end of my supply, I had made a decision to just bite the bullet and pay the 149.95 because I loved it that much. Once I was out, I contacted the company again and explained to them that I did try the products, but had returned them, because financially I just couldn't pay the 149.95 at the time. And do you know what they did?! They offered me the Stemologica kit and the Beautemer Serum for 59.95 each. I was so surprised and delighted and of course I said yes! The other wonderful thing is that you don't have to do the 30 day supply you can access your account online and change your auto reorder for 1 month, 2 month or 3 months. I can use the products and have enough to last for 3 months. You can also cancel your membership at anytime. I don't know about the international charges, but here in the States where I am from my re-order amount is 69.95 for the kit and 69.95 for the serum. I have been using the products for 1 year now, and love the results I am getting. I have had people notice my skin changing and have had no bad experiences with the products. It has diminished fine lines on my face as well! For as long as I have been using skin care, I will definitely stick to this forever if possible! Here are another few things that I love about it... I like the simplicity of the products> Day cream, Night cream, Eye gel. Oh and the lovely Serum! I have used a line that I had to apply up to 6 different products and that is just not practical for me. I don't want to spend a lot of time putting products on my face.

So that is my review... I actually wanted to take the time to post an actual USER of the product, because I too have not seen any reviews for the product itself, but only complaints against the company and how the promote the products. I will say I have called and email the company over the year and had never any issues of contacting anyone, and they have always responded to me.

Hope this helps for anyone who is truly interested in a loyal user of the products.

Stemologica and Beautemer experience. There are many customers out there who are
Unhappy with the business practices of these sites. What appears to be a trial offer at £3 odd
Turns into two hefty payments from ones bank account over £95.00 payment to each of the
Above companies.

I received an e-mail which purported to be a survey by Virgin Media. I completed the survey and at the end was offered a free trial of Stemologica products. I do not recall anything about T&Cs - no tick-box nothing. I genuinely believed that this site was authorised by Virgin Media and as Virgin media is a repuatable company I believed Stemologica was too and that I would only have to pay the shipping charges. It was stated quite clearly that this was a Free Trial How wrong was I! The product(s) arrived - I sampled them and was not too impressed. I would estimate their worth about £30.14 days later almost £200 was taken from my Credit card account. I went on to one of Stemologica's numerous sites told them I did not want their product or to have any "auto-refill" sent to me.
I also informed by Credit card company that no further payments were to be made. A month later Stemologica only tried to take £79.98 from my card which I have now cancelled. I am sure they would have tried to bill me using one of the MANY names Stemologica goes under - Landsol Enterprises, On-Line Beauty Paz./Stemopur.com/Stemocell.com/Beautemer/Rejuvelux.com and their many different locations - Israel/Nicosia/Prague/Maritius. In an article from "The Telegraph" Stemologica says that its T&Cs clearly states that customers who fail to return the bottles, unopened within 14 days agree to pay the full fee. How do you "trial" a cosmetic without opening it?
This is misrepresentation on a grand scale it's not a trial and it's not free. The names of companies which Stemologica have used to promote this scam include Sainsburys, Morrisons, Mumsnet, Sky, Virgin Media, Tesco and no doubt many more. See www.aspokesmansaid and Consumers Action Group for the number of complaints against them, there is also a facebook page "Stop Stemologica from duping people" which anyone can post on. This company is using a fig-leaf to operate what is a major scam.
