Sorry folks, I LOVE shopgoodwill. First you always have the option to look at shipping and handling charges before you bid. If you do not like what they are charging move on. Second the bidding is called automatic bidding. You place your high bid. Then someone comes along and bids. If they go above your bid by $1 or minimum set bid they can win. You need to watch your item for the last few minuets and be ready to place another high bid if you want to win. It is that simple. Shipping can be high but like any place YOU the consumer have the option to NOT bid on that item. I have NEVER gotten a broken item from them. I have always received exactly what I bid on. Back in 2012 I spent over $8K with them when I opened my resale store. I messed up by over bidding, winning and not paying. They will kick you off after 3 NO pays. So do not bid unless you can pay. I wish I could get back on to bid today. As for the CEO, COME ON... all these non-profits have someone at the head of the wheel getting big bucks. I personally know employees in a SC store that love working for them and get paid very well. Competitively with other corporate owned retail giants. Take responsibility for what you buy/bid on. You can walk away you just don't want to because the items look to good...

I have ordered from the onsite ON per emails I am sent. I have been disappointed 2 times and had to return each item to the local store. That in itself is not pleasant as I expected to get money back on my credit card as one major order was my daughters school clothing. When none of the sizes sent were correct I expected ON locally to have the correct sizes. Well they did not. So off I went to Target to get her correct colors and sizes but was stuck with a credit to ON. I did nothing wrong, was told that these incorrect order fill mistakes were common on the site and I can not get my money back! Thankfully I had extra money to be able to afford to buy from Target as school was only 3 weeks away. Then I used the credit to purchase online some more items that were on clearance and AGAIN they were sent wrong sizes. Now I go back and am treated like a criminal because I was just in the store 30 days prior and how dare I want to do another exchange. This time I stood my ground, showed them the online statement of what I used in credit and paid on my debit card and reluctantly I was allowed to exchange for myself. I will NEVER buy kids clothing from them again either on line or in store. They need better customer service and I felt like I should have gotten at least a $20 voucher to shop to replace the gas and time wasted.

For the pittance of wages these people make our Bluffton, SC has the best group of gals trying each and every day just to keep the shelves full. I shop this store a minimum of 3 days a week. Its sometimes frustrating to find normal everyday things like sugar but they are doing the best they can as this store never stops. It is customer after customer and just no time to open the boxes and shelve these essentials. I have never gotten an attitude from one employee if I asked for a case to be opened so I could get a bag of sugar or something else. Love these ladies. They really do the best they can.

I always get great customer service above and beyond except at Christmas when the store manager himself misinformed me about an advertised Laptop they had for $199. I was ready to pay for it on the spot but he informed me it was available online. Go home, order it, pay that price and it would be sent to the store. Not the case as when I went online I found it to clearly state this item was only available in stores. He should have told me the truth instead of blowing me off. I buy all my ink and paper and I bought a Kindle Fire for my daughter for Christmas. Luckely in January they had an Asus on sale and it was the last one and I got it for a fair price, $199. So I was happy but still would have rather had my Christmas present under my tree. I still shop with them. I have a card and when I can remember I print my coupons out but have missed well over $20 in saving as I thought the saving went onto the card because that was what I was told by the clerk that sold me on getting the card. Not the case. You have to make sure you check your email otherwise the coupons could expire by the time you see them which is what happened when I finally found the right person to tell me why my discounts were not showing up on my card. I had at least 9 cartridge turn ins and got nothing for that.

Lets face facts the only reason most subject themselves to that type of over crowded shopping and the longest lines ever to check out is the money you will save. But the most irritating thing to me is obvious secret shoppers. They are a joke. Around every corner you turn. I can understand that Target is probably suffers contless inventory losses but true story: while I was brousing around the store and being watched by this one 50ish gentleman a lady and her kid were trying shoes on and I watched the women put the new shoes on the kid, she put a new pair on and both used pairs went into the box and they processed to walk around like no big deal. My daughter could not stand it one more time and walked right up to the lead cashier and told her, pointed out the mother and kid and was told sweetie unless we see them do it there is nothing we can do. I told the guy that was following me around and he says sorry lady I don't work for Target. I mean really. So do not wonder why your inventory loss is probably more than the 3% you allow each quarter. Being in retail management for over 20 years I don't miss a thing. This is sad when your employees are trained to ignore this type of blatant theft.

I was always told by other shoppers that Amazon was horrible when it comes to returns. Never the case with me. I shop a lot on Amazon and have never had a problem retuning anything. I mean once my return shipping label was scanned I got the credit back on my card within 24 hours way before Amazon got it and inspected it. Now that is customer loyalty. I just wish they had a better pay schedule for sellers and I would drop ebay, Poshmark, Vinted and Etsy like a hot potato. I would love to sell in just one place but can not afford to wait 3 weeks to get paid. My average wait on these other sites is only 7 days. Please get a better seller arrangement so I can come over to you and only you.

For what they have they are a great place to save, save, save. The Hilton Head store is a pig sty but the Bluffton store is always organized and well stocked.

I love my best buy rewards program. I save huge with this. I love my selection and I love the support I get from each and every staff member. The store is always stocked well. But... because I do not have an hour to wait for cell service as the lines are always was to long I have had to take my business else wear for that only.

NO customer service. You are judged by what you are wearing. I hate when someone points to where you should go. I just walk out and drive the 2 miles to Lowes.

I love the discounts on the designer bags. The staff seems friendly but always tired. Just saying.

  • Lowe's

2/13/15

Love my Lowe's. It is just around the corner. They always have what I need and more. Well except curtain rods. Never enough. You never need to wait in line because they never allow more than 2 to a line. Love this store. One of my favorites.

A nighmare to navigate the clothing. Always out of order and the dust bunnies are just unbelievable. Dressing rooms are discussing. Hilton Head store.

  • Marshalls

2/13/15

Hit or miss in this place. I sometimes find it hard to shop because the clothing is always messy and in the wrong size area. Nothing like falling inlove with a skirt I pull out of the Large area to find it is a small. And this is a lot. Employees that work at night are a joke. They believe they only have one job, to stock the shelves and talk on a cell phone. Then you have that power play going on with the 3 female managers. I applied for a position. Was hired but suddenly one of these managers calls me and says she cant find my references. So I arrive less than 10 minutes later with refrences in hand. As I am walking in the store (around 7:30 pm) I see 2 Latino ladies with there trunk open and about 10 handbags still in plastic talking to your customers as they walked in. I decided to step back and watch, clearly heard the name Tory Burch and $45 dollars and watched them sell your potential customer 3 handbags. This shopper got back into her car and left. So I go into the store, stop at the front to let someone know to get the manager on duty and she comes waltzing up and I point to the parking lot, tell her what is going on, afraid that this may be Marshalls stock being sold and she tells me oh they are just my friends and those are fakes. She then gets on the phone and I can clearly see one of this outside ladies talking back to her, she speaks to them in Spanish and they leave. I give her my references she says nothing to me and walks away. I call 2 days later and they tell me the position that I was already hired for has been filled as they were never able to reach any reference I provided them. Blatant lie! One was a good friend of mine, a professional in the area and she showed me her phone for the last 2 weeks not one call came from Marshalls or even a strange number. I was not given an opportunity to work because I caught your store manager allowing illegal activity to happen. You missed out on a great employee you could have really benefitted from my experience.

I love it. The app is easy, good customer service, great buyers and sellers. If you read guidelines and follow rules you should have no problems. I am very confused by a lot of the negative comments here. They have gone out of there way to help me as a seller and a buyer several times. I average about $250 a month. Could not be happier.
