on 4/6/15It depends on who you deal with. I have dealt with 3 sellers - 2 are terrible, and 1 is great. I would definitely deal with the good seller again - he is honest, and I have bought 5 or 6 items through him and everything went fine. But the ratio of bad to good sellers leaves me very uneasy. I don't think I would buy from Ali Express again, unless I only dealt with the 1 good seller I have found. Getting your money back is a real tedious and protracted process. I'm glad I paid with a credit card and put the transaction into "dispute" - honestly, I doubt if I would have recovered my money had I not done this.
It truly depends on who you buy from. But don't expect any help from Aliexpress when they advertise buy protection
Just like on Ebay, there are good and bad sellers. Heck, many of these items ARE on Ebay, but I actually found the dispute and feedback process on AliExpress better than on Ebay. I've ordered 60 times, and even got this really pretty formal prom-type dress (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wholesale-GK-Mermaid-Sexy-Deep-V-neck-Backless-Wedding-Formal-Dresses-2014-Crystal-Party-Gown-Prom/1634095831.html) last year, and haven't had many issues.
The few times the item was wrong or didn't make it, Aliexpress let me dispute easily and I got a refund. And a few times that something did not fit I was prepared that may happen (the size was "one size" so I knew it may not fit someone with my curves), and just gave the items as gifts or used them in a project. You really can't beat the savings and I definitely use this site often to grab stocking stuffers and little gifts for friend.
It's a scam. I ordered a $30 costume and was charged $130!
No I don't believe the complete site is a scam but I do believe some of the individual sellers are. So my advice is do your research before giving out credit card and personal info
I order plenty from their site and often. On average, most items will take about 5-6 weeks to arrive. I check the sellers ratings and read the feedback on them before I buy anything, and if I'm satisfied with the quality when I receive it, I will go back to that seller for more stuff. Nothing I've ordered has been very expensive, and I'm welll aware that for the prices u pay for most stuff, the return process will be more painful than the purchase. I personally would not buy electronics by mail as I would prefer to see the item first, then buy it, and also have a warantee/guarantee of some sort. Apart from that, if u are ordering clothing, keep in mind to always order a size about 3x larger than what u normally would. If u do the homework, there are plenty of good deals to be had. And for all u lovers of the word "scam" out here... A SCAM is when people steal from u. Not just because u may not like the way they deal with u or their business ethic doesn't make them a scam. If they have a store with products for sale, and u agree to buy something from them, if they take your money and don't send u the item, then yes, u have been ripped off. In over 50 items I've ordered from Aliexpress, only one item was not delivered, and I messaged the seller and got my $2 back.
No honey aliexpress isn't a scam I oder from them about 10 times
It is a scam if it says $3.50 and they charge my credit card $9.57 and when i dispute it next day they give back$3.50 instead of $9.57.it has happened to me few times. Alie express should control the site better. That site should be shut down
Yes, this website is a total scam. I warn you, please do not risk your money. This website is extremely deceitful. This website went along with a scam that a seller pulled on me. I was scammed out of $243 from a seller named Queena Wang on this website. The products on this site also does not look like what they appear in the picture. I ordered a wig from a seller that costed $243. The wig appeared to be darker in the photo. Once I received the wig it was a lighter color. I informed the seller about not being satisfied with the product. Then the seller told me that she would send me an exchange or a refund for the product once I ship it back to her. Once I shipped her the product back I received nothing! I also informed the website about what took place and I showed them proof in the messages, but they went along with the scam. The website tried to get rid of the proof of the scam by deleting the messages that took place between me and the seller, but i made copies of the messages. This website did nothing to help me. This website is along with those scamming sellers. This website is out rob you out of your hard earned money. I strongly regret that I ordered from there. I lost $243 right before my eyes! I also have more details about the scam in my posted review. I warned you, please stay far away from those sites.
I purchase from Aliexpress all the time my first experience was negative I ordered an item I didn't receive exactly the item I purchased i contacted the seller first and was told I can keep the item and they would only give me 20% of what the purchase price was, I contacted aliexpress customer service and sent pictures and the communication between the seller and I. I also contacted my bank since I used my debit card. My bank gave me my full refund bank. Since my first te ordering was a bad one. I was iffy about ordering again but I always research the seller on YouTube and read the feeback on Aliexpress. I placed an order about two weeks ago and I received my order and a free gift with no issues. You just have to ask as many questions from the seller, check to see if there are any reviews about the seller on YouTube and there overall feeback percentage should be atleast 95% and higher. I love the website. I have ordered jewelry, clothes, and a few other items once I have good vendor he/she would be the only vendor that I would order from. If you paid with PayPal dispute the purchase with them
My experience has been all negative. I was sold 2 cell phones. 1 was a counterfeit and the other one needed repair. Aliexpress won't do anything to help you either, not like ebay where you pay with paypal
I would recommend ebay! If there is a problem with anything about your order or refund on aliexpress, it's virtually impossible to get the seller to help you. There are a few good ones, but the cheaters far outweigh the good ones.
I do not think it is a scam. I think it is an incredibly poorly managed website and organization. I think an attempt to protect both the sellers and buyers is made but either very under staffed and supported or the inter organizational communication system is failing completely.
Either way the result is that the seller and buyer end up with a system that cannot manage even the smallest dispute or even accidental errors.
Not to be trusted, not safe to release your information to but with work and honest effort this organization and these vendors could be outstanding.
When it comes to returning or reporting a defective product, all sellers seem to pull up the draw bridges, chains, gates all go into lock down and they refuse to respond to you about anything. In my opinion DO NOT send back their products EVER! You will find out that you have to pay the shipping which ends up being 10 times the price of your silly product. I learned the hard way and had to FIGHT with my credit card company/bank filing a claim that the person was a scammer in order to get my money back. DISPUTE IT and DON"T EVER send back, just click on full refund and show pictures and documentation of EVERYTHING in order to get your money back. These companies are NOT regulated so buy at your own risk!
No, it is not a scam.
You need to be absolutely sure of what you order. Due to the lack of most sellers' English, description of item detail is not always accurate.

I believe it may be. When there are so many people with the same issues one could wisely conclude a scam is involved. I've come across another website with similar issues. You can take your chances if you wish or learn a lesson from those who have already learned. Good luck!
I have had very good dealings with them. Just don't buy anything to cheap or that is what you'll get. I have my favorite suppliers to buy from and when I first order from a new supplier I order just a small amount to see their quality. Watch their ratings also.
In my personal opinion, I don't think so. You just need some knowledge of how the internet, wholesale from other countries, and customs work! Plus a little bit of patience! Read the reviews from sellers before you buy, as well.
I ordered a bathsuit 25 days ago, the money was taken and product shipped out in 2 days. I have yet to receive anything yet, and some with some other peers. I would not recommend this site.
Yes it is a very BIG scam. It's almost impossible to get the seller to help you if there is a malfunction after the guarantee period which is from the day you receive the product until the 60 days period ends (from the day you ordered it). Practically you have only 15 days guarantee period. All the original phones I ordered were 1:1 copy. All the bags I bought had low quality. It was written on the order specifications that it had oxford fabric but on the bag nowhere was written!
Yes, it is. My advice to you is to shop elsewhere. The prices look appetible because there is no relevant product behind them, hence the lower cost. Once the order is placed you are etiher put on a week-hold with your payment and then turned down (!) for `security issues` or your order is processed (happened on my experience never on my friends` 15% of the times) and you will receive your item within a year (not kidding) with no assurance for the extremely `flexible` schedule of delivery, nor reimbursement if the item doesn`t arrive at all (most cases). If you are super lucky and get the item, almost always the item will be crap (always happened when the price was shall we say `too goo`!?) only remotely resembling or even not at all the hardware (chassis of the item, i. O. w. The outside. NOTE: it will never have the internal specs advertised that you ordered, i. O. w. RAM/ROM, battery quality, CPU and video chip. And so on) the one you ordered and saw on the ad (NOTE: they even tell you on the website that they do not take responsability for the frauds perpetrated on their own site! They will tell you to be careful and not to reply to ads that are shall we say. Too-good-to-be-true!?).
Hope that`ll help.
