Bought a pair of wool runners a few months ago, and they're easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Usually wear them sockless or with no-show liners. They look great and I love that you can wash them. Would definitely recommend.
These shoes hurt my feet after wearing for 30 minutes. Tried several times thinking I just needed to get used to them, but each time my foot pain increased. Tried to return them but Allbird would not accept a return because I was 13 days outside their return window. The shoes were barely worn and in very good shape. The best they would do is offer a $10 credit for shoes I bought for $135. Expensive lesson.

I have been reassured and lied to multiple times by a couple staff members on receiving a pair of shoes that were sent to me in the wrong size. I was told i would get the shoes I had originally ordered in the correct size. That never happened. After reaching back out twice, I was again reassured that my order would go thru and that I would receive a confirmation and tracking number. That also never happened and now, after having to initiate another line of communication with them, have been told I will have to submit for a refund. Worst customer support I have ever experienced.
I purchased 6 pairs of Allbirds shoes over approximately 4-5 years. Three pairs were their "tree" versions which have a nylon type material. While these shoes are comfortable, every pair of these "tree" versions wore through the toe area within 6-9 months of use. I probably wore these shoes 2-3 times per week during these periods. Allbirds did not accept responsibility for the premature defects of their shoes and after contacted, refused to provide a refund, credit or replacement. While I spent approximately $400 for three pairs of shoes, each of which had the same product defect, they only offered a $25 gift card. I considered that an insult. I will never buy another product from Allbirds. In my opinion, their products have poor workmanship and/or materials and are not worth the price charged. They do not value quality or their customer base.
My husband wore his Allbirds about six months when a hole developed. Five times I've called and emailed customer service. Was promised someone would get back to me, and I've heard nothing. It's the third pair I've ordered. Very disappointed. Won't EVER buy from them again.
Wore Tree runner for two weeks on a vacation, the toe area broke through around 4-5 days, and had to throw them away. Waste of money!. Emailed Allbirds customer service, pretty much blaming me for getting the wrong size ( I obviously know my own shoe size) and walking too much in humidity. Didn't offer anything, not even a coupon code for next purchase. Never again!
While the comfort of the shoes is amazing, the quality is horrendous. I bought a pair and wear them maybe 2-3 times per week and the big tow area material is already worn thin with holes. The shoes were $150 and not worth it at all! They didn't even last six months. Do not waste your money on them, as they are poorly made with poor materials that wear out too quickly!
I was so excited to receive my cute yellow all birds after glowing reviews from several friends about how unbelievably comfortable they are.
Initially when I put them on they were super soft and comfy. The website says it's cool to wear them without socks so I went for a two mile walk with my dogs. About half way in my heels really started to hurt. By the end they were bloody. It's been 4 days and I still can't wear shoes with backs (see picture)
The best shoes for your feet don't need to be broken in or give you scars on your heels before they are wearable. Disappointed.
Had these shoes just under the 30 day return period thankfully, have sent the man email to get the nasty things returned. They where super soft and comfortable for maybe the first couple days. Then one day after a commute to and from work, I began to notice that my heels really started hurting. When I got home i discovered the heels of my socks had been shredded and my heels had blisters all over them. I changed socks and didn't pay it much mind, until the same thing happened 2 more times before i realized its the shoes ripping my socks and then heels apart!
I didn't experience such pain and discomfort from my previous Uniqlo $30 runners that i abused for over a year. But these $150+ shoes brutally attacked me within a month. Definitely not worth the money.

Shipping said would be here by yesterday. Sat at their store for a week before being shipped out. Then sat in Indianapolis for 3 more days. Now it says pending date for arrival. Called store to have them track the shipment, they refused to do it. About to cancel the credit card transaction clearly fraud. Doubt they even sent the shoes.
Tip for consumers:
dont buy from them its a scam. they dont care about the customer.

I had an issue with a pair of Allbirds and the customer service was unhelpful and horrid. Apparently it is typical to have your toes poke through the front of your shoes after wearing infrequently over a few months. I will never buy from them again and I suggest no one else does either!

They asked me to order one size down for Tree runners if I was between sizes (e.g. 9.5)
The shoe arrived four days later in a very central location, was impractical fit and clearly the advice was incorrect to size down.
I politely exchanged online but you have to print your own USPS standard shipping label so find a printer, and wait for them to RECEIVE the old shoe at their warehouse before they will send you another pair.
So, in total, you are 15 DAYS away from getting your correct shoe.
When I complained, the helpdesk suggested that I should have cancelled and ordered a new one. But well, they don't tell you that if you already started an exchange, the return option is no longer available.
Would you expect this service from a new age startup? Now, I have dropped off the package and they have confused me saying I should not have used the old label (As they manually created a new one)
I bought 3 pairs of Allbirds Tree Runners over a period of 3 months because I have narrow, bony feet and these shoes had a snug, comfortable, supportive feel around the foot which is hard for me to find. Within less than a year, all 3 pairs were worn through with holes. This has never happened for me with any other brand of shoe. But the main problem is, they are absolutely hazardous to wear in wet weather when the sidewalks are slick. Worse yet, I made the mistake of wearing them while walking my dog in the dark. I stepped on a couple of gravel rocks were on the paving while walking swiftly and there was no grip on the shoe tread to stop the intense slide of my feet and I went flying head over heels. This never would have happened if I'd been wearing my Palladiums or even my old Skechers. I think Allbirds are good for light indoor wear on a carpet and that's about it. For the price they should last longer and be safer.

Socks are clearly too small. When stretched to fit they come apart on the seam. Terrible quality. I Will be returning the rest - when they arrive. Still waiting. Only half of the order delivered. Rubbish.

Your colors as shown online are not accurate. We have returned perfectly good shoes only because the colors were so far off. The latest was bough, which shows as a dark beige but is a very obvious grey. Others do good colors and we want to order more but are always in doubt. I know you pay for returns, but that is needless expense you can easily avoid with better reproductions.

Shoes. So far
The shoes don't wear well, particularly in the toe area…I've worn my toe through on several pairs. Now, I know not to wear them for any distance walking or running. I've been wearing shoes for decades, and literally no other brand of shoes I've owned and worn have my toes popped through the material! I recently purchased a pair of underwear. Their fit was nothing like the photo, even after sizing down, the leg holes were too large, enough to make them unwearable. I then tried to leave a review on their website, but only "randomly" selected customers can leave reviews! What kind of company operates this way?!
Tip for consumers:
Have real, honest reviews that can be submitted by ALL customers

Some shoes of multiple ones ordered over the course of three years
It seems that either these shoes are extremely comfortable or the complete opposite!
On the first wear, which was a walk around the neighborhood, I've found rubbing on my heels, causing blisters, which is so painful that no amount of tape and cotton wool can help, so having to wear different shoes until I can walk properly again.
I asked for advice from the help desk on whether the tightness at the front of the shoe will subside, and they suggested that they stretch about a quarter of an inch and recommend wearing socks for the first few weeks. At this stage I am thinking of returning them, which is disappointing as they are great looking shoes!
I generally run true to size with narrow feet, but I would certainly consider sizing up.
I bought these shoes over a year ago. The shoes are extremely comfortable with one exception. Where the shoe is tied under the bow and tongue rubs my foot where the ankle and foot meet. Has caused serious blisters that itch and are raw. I tried tying a loose bow but that didn't work. Takes a few days to disappear. I tried wearing socks but the irritation still occurs. Too bad, otherwise a nice shoe.
I have 3 pair of these and initially loved them. Problem is my Big toe on my left foot wears through within 5 months of wear. I wear these as a casual knock around for shopping or
Light walks. (I wear athletic shoes for running/working out). I really like these and typically wear in the Spring and Fall months with no socks I wish they would somehow re-enforce
The toe box for better wear. Disappointing would like at least 12 months for the Price!
They are comfortable and soft, though the arch support isn't amazing. But they're not as cute as I'd hoped (they have sort of that "giant forehead" look, if that makes sense.) And weirdest of all... whenever I wear them they start to smell like burning hair. Like a chemical-y hair salon smell almost. My socks and feet will reek of it after I take them off. It's never happened with any other shoe in my life so I know it's not just my feet, nor is it the smell of damp wool (I'm a knitter and know that smell very well.) It's definitely like... perm chemicals. I thought it'd wear off over time but it hasn't. They've been relegated to gym shoes because I have to shower after wearing them anyway.
I've ordered two pairs of the Kids Smallbirds Wool Runners for my son. The first one, the laces started falling apart and the top of one of the shoes (above the big toe) started developing a hole. I figured it was a one-off and ordered a new pair when it was time to size up. My son has been wearing the new pair for less than 3 months, and now both shoes are falling apart again (laces are shredding, holes above both big toes). My son is not a typical adventurous boy, so these shoes are receiving light wear and they are absolutely falling apart. Do Not Recommend.
**Also, I have ordered other (adult) products from them in the past, and always received an email with the opportunity to review the product. For both of these purchases for the Kids shoes, I was never sent an email/given an opportunity to review the Kids product(s). Shady, like they know they're not good quality.
I got my first pair of Allbirds primarily for casual office days and infrequent airport travel, so I was a little dismayed when just after the 30 day warranty a hole developed in the toe of one of my shoes. To the credit of customer service, they allowed a return and advised that I order a size larger than usual to minimize any stress at the front of the shoe. They're a little loose but still comfortable. After three months now the insole is degrading (clumps of wool come out and expose the fibers underneath) and I've noticed that I can no longer boast about the anti-odor properties; they stink. I imagine even if I wash by hand, the odor will quickly return now that the wool layer is fading away. They do sell insole replacements, but after spending 100 bucks on casual loungers I'm not crazy about spending 15 every 3 months to replace the insoles. I otherwise do like the company and the comfort / look of the tree loungers; just concerned about longevity vs cost.
I liked the look of the Wool Runners and they are comfortable, and they pack well in a suitcase, but they provide zero support for your feet. They are great if you're walking on carpet; outside on any hard surface, not so much. They work much better as slippers.
I visited their NYC Soho store a year ago. I loved the customer service and initially, their shoes were fantastic, although the shoes could be slightly more chic. I give overall rating of 4 stars because even though the shoes initially felt great, they seem to lose the comfiness a little bit after a few months, unlike Stan Smiths (Adidas) that are my all-time favourite trainers.
I ordered a pair of the wool runners. They came in 2 days. The colour (yellow) is very pretty. The size seems good. I wear 8 1/2 and the 9 seems great. I went for a 3 kilometre walk and had to go barefoot the last half kilometre because my blisters were so bad. I have very tender feet but I walk a lot so was surprized and disappointed.
The world's most comfortable shoes, made naturally --- Using materials like merino wool and eucalyptus tree fiber, Allbirds has created the comfiest shoes on the planet.
