I originally ordered blinds in a ruby color. After a month long delay I inquired about the delay. I was informed they were out of stock and it could be another month. I cancelled it and switched to another color which arrived in a timely manner and look fine. I was disappointed I was not informed of the delay until I was the one who had to make the inquiry. You should be more proactive in letting your customer know what is happening. I am otherwise very satisfied with blinds I have now received.

Finally got through to a person, who admitted that the "American blinds" were order in China and they must still be on a boat. I have no idea when the will ever come. Maybe next year?
My final total was $674...then when I paid it jumped up $55...what the heck!
Then I was billed $731
That order was cancelled because manufacture would not make what I was able to order. Then representative sold me on clear view cellular shades. No chords visible- not true and they are 1.5" deeper than original specs. Extending out of the wood frame window- beautiful blinds if you want strings going down both sides of window and they can be recessed! I had to pay more too!
These are custom ordered and they gave me a credit but customer is still very unhappy

I was very satisfied with the customer service once I called you. The person was friendly and helpful. But as stated in the comment box above I was disappointed I was not contacted first about the delay in my original order.

It was pretty easy to do. I'm trying to replace some blinds that don't open or close. I was hoping I could just slide the old blinds out of the side mounted inside brackets and slide the new ones in but no such luck. I also would prefer cords to the wand for opening and closing.
We had an issue with one blind on a previous purchase. I called the company and in one short, easy phone conversation they took care of the problem. Prompt, courteous, and stress-free experience.
I will continue to use them for my next blind order -- which will be coming up soon since we moved into a new home with horrible window coverings. I'm changing all the windows...slowly.

The blinds are terrific especially for the price. The screws have 8mm heads which is much better than phillips screws. Plus there is adhesive to hold the mounts in place while you drill and put in the screws. Very easy to install by yourself. I'll be back soon for the rest of the blinds I need to replace.

Wow! Had purchased the Coolina shades at a local home store but I was in need of a particular size. I found American and ordered it! So easy. So glad I found this site The shade fit perfectly! Could not be happier. Am ordering a shade for my bathroom next.
This is the 3rd time I have used American Blinds and was disappointed with the selection for the decorative fabric roller shade options; so I chose the woven fiber shades.
However, the new requirement of having to purchase the motorized lift for most of the shades greatly increases the cost. This will discourage many shoppers.

I also do not like having to use the motarized lift for the roller shades. We do not have children in our home. Reconsider this as it adds a surcharge to the shades.

Informative and easy to find what I need. I had purchased blinds a few years ago at a previous house, and decided to order some for our new house. It's easy to configure what you need and place your order on the website. I used scaffolding to install mine due to the height, and we now have afternoon shade on our patio.

*Update…. Blinds are exactly what I wanted for my big window. They have great privacy and let in a lot of light while doing that. I'll be getting some more!
