Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from BrotherJet staff and previous consumers.
Hi, just saw your message by accident I am from Torontoalso playing with the same model 5000U too since 2017, we are printing on ADA signs. My team was experiencing the horizontal lines too, however we are(specially our handsome technician Mike :)) now doing well by the below MUST: --We have to have full nozzle check for white. --The product distance to the printer head should be limited to 2 or 3mm. Otherwise the ink might float a little bit during the printing. --Make sure the the Y encoding system is activated. --Set the motor speed in their control panel and normally it should be set as 8 or 10. --Update the program to align with the latest version workstation. As I know it is for free. You can ask their service team, I personally like Jerry better. --Select F in eclosion in the work station. I hope my experience helps. Where are you located? Maybe we can talk and share the information. Cheers.
Hi, I am not familar with the lighter, but we are printing also on metal ADA signs. I guess all UV printers can print on the metal material but you would need to apply primer as what we r doing. I believe all the models are applying the same ink system, so they should be the same for output I guess. You'd need to consider about the printing qty/daily base as the printing speed varies from the printers. I did have experience printing for my sister's team for pens, my model 5000U, I printed 75000pens in in 8 days, not too bad for me. If I were you, I would ask samples from the supplier first
