on 5/2/15All I can say is that I had no trouble unlocking my BlackBerry phone by following the instructions. They followed up on my experience the next day to see if I had any problems. You need a sim card to connect to the Virgin network. You can get this at a Virgin Mobile store or on line. You can go on line to sync your phone and follow the instructions.
Yes. Unlocking the phone means you will be able to use it on ANY network (if you have their simcard). It will only need unlocking once then you can change networks as often as you want.
Th unlock process is meant to open the phone so that it can be used with any GSM network
If your phone is unlocked and if it holds a standard SIM card, then you can buy a Virgin SIM card at any UK newsagent and you are all hooked up with a UK mobile number.
Is the phone you want to unlock an iphone?
Hi@EmilyS,
A: 1) As each preceding member posted, if you unlock your phone, the whole process is to "free" the network barriers or restrictions, which will then allow you to use any Other Networks' Sim Card. 2) In addition to what I've said, you can use your "now" freed or opened or unlocked phone with ANY Network SIM card, as long as it requires a SIM card.
So, if you're Verizon (not too significant for this purpose) locked phone needs a SIM card to function, then, all the best. Conversely, if the phone is Locked to Verizon and Requires no SIM card, you can forget about that part.
Hope this helps you in solving your problem, Emily S.
