on 12/13/15The clothes are cleaned and then sent out to the next person who requested that item in that size. After a period of time (not sure how long) the clothes are put into their for sale section of the site. I've purchased several items after wearing them at incredible savings.
Asked and answered- Just want to add that if you ever receive clothing that is damaged, dirty, or has an odor, email customer service immediately. They responded promptly to me and gave me a couple of bonus garments. I think I had 5 garments all summer when I only paid for 3 which is decent.
Don't trust them. It's a scam! Call customer service, they're in India. I reported them to the BBB and I was refunded money that they tried to scam from me by PayPal. Paypal rocks. They researched my issue and found Gwynnie Bee at fault. Buyer beware!
The clothes are cleaned and then sent out to others. If you notify them of the return, they will supposedly start processing your next item, though in my experience the turn-around time was RIDICULOUSLY slow - 3-4 business days from notification before a new item was sent, and then a minimum of another 3-4 business days for shipping. I was really prompt about returning things that didn't work out often the same day that they arrived, and returning things I'd worn immediately afterward, and wasn't able to get more than 2-3 full turns out of my monthly fee. It was not worth the money, and the customer service team was terrible. And their billing policies are more than a little shady - beware the timing of the cancellation- cancelling means no more clothes are sent to you even if you have already paid for that full month (so basically, you have to wait until right before they bill you again), and any purchases you make from the shop can be cancelled when you cancel if they haven't shipped yet. I agree with other posters- there are better ways to manage your wardrobe that don't involve having to interact with a company this disreputable.
The clothes are cleaned by the company, then sent to another customer. Like any other rental service, goods are shared amongst all the people using Gwynnie Bee. I've never gotten something which was stained or in clearly bad shape. Clothes which are at all worn are taken out of rotation. I'm not sure what the company does with those, but I'm sure they would respond if you emailed. The costumer service is incredibly fast!
I never got one piece of clothing from them. They were charging my credit card when I had ordered or received anything. I asked them to credit me the 320.00, since it was not clear how it worked. I knew I joined, you had to to look at the merchandise, but thought billing would cut with first request. I think they merely clean and reissue clothes. I thought it was kind of creepy and thought the clothes looked cheap. If you just buy less clothes of better quality, you'd be better off. I've heard their turn around time is slow, which means you get less for your investment. I wouldn't do business with them. Seem shady, given they could have gotten me to use their service if they extended a credit. They couldn't have cared less that I walked away. Good luck. Remember TJMaxx is really reasonable.
