It's a mine field, EBay used to be good to buy on but I wouldn't use them unless I was desperate, look at their approval ratings. They are just over 50%, that means for every satisfied customer they have, they have an unsatified customer. That sort of approval rating would embarrass any multinational company into imediate action to improve yet EBay if anything have been complacenenr on their inaction in making things better probably due to volume of customers and thinking (wrongly) "who cares about the X million amount of dissatisfied customers when we have X million happy customers". It's not a way to run or grow a business long term ie alienating half of you current customers as eventually you will alienate them all. They go through the motions of trying to rectify issues but unless you have dealt with their customer services it's a frustrating process. I would like to see some figures on the percentages of satisfactory resolved issues for buyers and sellers.
Amazon seems to be picking up market share and have a higher feedback rating. I prefer to utilise free online tools such as Gumtree and have never had issue. If I see something on EBay I like I tend to look at sellers store and contact them offline through their web site etc as protected through local consumer laws which are easier to navigate than the EBay terms and conditions.
In using eBay regularly and just purely looking at their approval rating alone, nothing else, it's just a question of time before you get your fingers burnt (law of averages).
Amazon has proven to back up their sellers products. Ebay is a DEN OF THIEVES, be very suspicious and careful with your money on ebay!
Stay far away from EBAY--they will take your money and you will get nothing in return. Amazon is the best.
Amazon. EBay and Qvc
Amazon might be a problem depending on who they use to ship your stuff. I'm in the Bay Area and Amazon uses a cheap shipping company called On Track shipping. They are cheap and very fly by night. They are known for just tossing your packages at the front door so someone passing by might steal it before anyone gets home. I've hard a lot of complaints about them. So depending on who they use to ship your stuff in your area their contracted shipping service might be too risky for you to receive your items safely. I don't think On Track operates in all areas of the country...
QVC AMAZON & EBAY IN THAT ORDER
NOT eBay! They are rip off artists. The Sellers, Except China, Are some the most honest online. EBay is untrustworthy. Unfair to their sellers AND hard to conduct business with, Tradesy is a good online place to shop, they are upfront with their sellers and VERY fair to their shoppers. They Are Expensive, but so is eBay only with eBay you never know what you're being charged. Amazon Is one of the best online places to shop. I shop there often.
I have had no issres or drama at Amazon. Otherwise I just shop the old fashioned way
I agree with Sean P. I use to buy from eBay no guarantees there. They claim money back guarantee I found this not to be so. I shop Amazon, no drama there. I've had to return a few things followed policy and one issue they refunded me outside of their policy. I have only had a positive experience with Amazon.
PTC, as in Paid to Click?
None of them.
Amazon followed closely by Ebay.
Do not even think of other sites especially Zotezo or similar as you will repent later.
I have tried most and the conclusion is Amazon and Ebay.
Amazon and EBay because the customer service reps will help get your money back
Amazon, then ebay if seller rating is high
EBAY ALL THE WAY!
