Question:

Why are all responses the same from elder helpers and they say they tried everything in their power to contact the person with the complaint? this sounds like a scam asking volunteers for monthly fees then they get no calls and no replies for a refund. it sounds like "mary" doesn't need money for administrative costs because she doesnt seem to do anything except collect money. this is a shame. the volunteers have good hearts and the seniors need help. she probably would have made more money not demanding it. and no background checks! people rely on that! it shouldnt be advertised they do it when the volunteers even say they don't! jeez, what a disapointment this is.

Answer:

As per our tips for volunteers section: donations are NOT mandatory in order to become a volunteer. Currently background checks are voluntary and volunteers pay for their background check however you can offer them to pay for it if they have not already done it. Elder Helpers and IntelliCorp have teamed up to provide background screening as follows to help you lower risk and keep you safe. Criminal Records SSN Verification with Address History Employment and Education Verifications Motor Vehicle Reports
