on 12/14/15The best thing to do is to use your credit and buy something in the amount you were charged and then call to cancel your membership. You can try to get them to reverse the charges but chances are you won't get it back. Don't cancel until you use the money you already paid though!
Same thing happened to me. Call them. It was a long conversation because the girl I spoke to barely spoke English, but I was refunded without any problems.
Honestly it is shady and such a scam. FABLETICS needs to make quality products that they don't need to trick people into buying a membership for. I buy more lulemon and athleta then that and I'm not tricked! I just like the products. I'm sorry to tell you that unless you are a lawyer you'll never get that money back. I had to get angry to cancel before any billing let alone trying to squeeze out a refund from a scammer company. So sorry!
Well when you sign up to be a VIP, you really have to read the small print. Because you are a VIP member, you get billed monthly. But that's because you get to get outfits for free monthly (or at least that's what I was told). It makes sense but if you dont read ahead you'll be as confused as I was haha!
Hello! This is from the Fabletics team. We know that this question was raised over a year ago, but we would like to address it.
During your initial purchase, you are given two options, either to checkout as a VIP member or Guest. If you chose the VIP option, you'd receive your first order at a discount and be enrolled in our VIP membership. If you don't want to be a VIP member, simply check out with us as a Guest.
As a VIP member, you will never be obligated to make a purchase nor pay the monthly charge every month and you can make changes to your account whenever you wish. Indeed, we are a monthly membership shop but there is no need to pay each month to remain a VIP and enjoy exclusive sales and discounts. On the 6th of each month, you'll be charged $59.95 for your exclusive membership benefits. These benefits include a promotional member credit which unlocks our best savings when redeemed. Member credits can be redeemed for any 2-piece outfit or item up to $100, online or in-store. If you don't want a credit, please visit the site between the 1st and 5th of the month, click "Skip the Month", and you won't be charged. Same thing happened to me! Complete scam! They were no help!
When you purchase an outfit you are agreeing to their membership. The membership includes a credit, which can be used to purchase 1 outfit per month. If you don't want the membership anymore, then call them and cancel. But it is YOUR fault for not reading the Terms and Conditions before completing the "checkout" process.
I think this company should be reported for malpractice. They have owed me a $50 refund since February 2015. I have spent at least 6 hours on the phone trying to get it solved. Report this to your credit card. They may go after them for you. Good Luck, Kathleen
That's right. Same thing happened to me! That's why I have gone on a champagne and an trying to warn people. You need to tell everyone. You will not get your money back. Biggest scam and in shocked that Kate Hudson endorses this. I realize that I should have been more on top of things too! But this is REALLY bad. Please tell everyone you know.
You got enrolled in their membership and didn't cancel in time - they suck!
The site, when you first visit it, hides the fact that, even if you chose not to subscribe to their VIP 'service', by buying anything you will automatically be subscribed. The banks in the UK seem very aware of these, underhand, practices employed by this site. My daughter, on mentioning Fablectics, was fully refunded and her debit instruction cancelled with few questions asked. I assume, from the exceptionally high number of complaints about this site, that banks in the US will be equally sympathetic and get your money back too. I look forward to seeing scam sites automatically removed from the internet and the owners prosecuted.
Call them asap and make them credit your card and cancel the membership. Make sure that you check your statements in the upcoming months because they are thieves and will try to continue to charge you which is what happened to me.
