on 10/14/11My friend got so burned by one of those bridal online places she didn't get her dresses in time for the wedding and they just kept her money. I would be very careful... if you do use them have a back up just in case.
I am also looking to buy my wedding dress from this site. I have read some really good things about people buying their dresses online. And they are so much cheaper than the stores. Has anyone purchsed a dress from this site, and can they let us know the quality?
I have 4 months before our wedding to go. I bought a $4000 dress from a boutique but have just found out we are pregnant... a bit of a (very happy) suprise given our first little girl was through IVF but we are absolutely thrilled. The boutique I bought my dress from will not allow me to exchange my dress at all for something that will fit not even one that's is worth half as much so will have to sell a gorgeous never worn dress second hand. There are other options that are cheaper but not necessarily very bridal and this site looked like a good alternative... I was thinking about just buying one and using paypal to pay and then seeing what the quality was like. They let you put a zipper or lace up back which for me would be good... I am sure like with anything there will be dodgy sites and not so dodgy sites so a bit of a stab in the dark. They say their start to finish time is 40 days including delivery...
Also considering buying a dress from here, i imagine it's just a cheap labor made dress unfortunately, but if this is a scam I would really appreciate the update!
I am also considering buying my wedding dress from this site.om the picture it looks like my dream dress.
But do i take the risk or not.
Has i havant that long really til my big day.
So havant time to waste.
But surely someone somewhere has ordered from this site that can let us all no.
It's a knock-off site. They put up images of real designer dresses, but they do not have permission to use those images or make those designs. It's illegal to do so.
I spose it's a question of, do you gamble on this website for a £100 wedding dress and take the risk, or pay the usual grand or so in shops in this country and play it safe. Bearing in mind it is a your big day, but its only one day, you are not very likely to wear it again.
Also if u do get ripped off... dare i say it, nowdays £100 isn't alot of money.
Kinda made my decision to 'risk' it
Hi I have also ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses from fashionlande on the 24. 01. 11. I'm ver concerned now as it been over 40 days and have not even received an email to confirm shipping. I've sent a couple of emails but no reply! I'm furious really any advice on how to get in contact with them?
Hi, i thankfully posted on FB that i was looking at buying our bridesmaid dresses from fashionlande a friend sent me the link to this website. I tried to find the same dress on a diff site using the dress description & google images... i have found a website that looks strikingly similar but it isnt listed on here as a scam website. Its "joyvogue.com". Has anyone heard of it before or can you go & check it out & see if you think its dodgy?
I wouldn't buy from joyvogue. It allows payment through western union (bad sign), prices are too good to be true, security badges don't link to anything and there's no real way to contact them other than through email. I'm sure this site is based in china. You don't want to take the risk.
I would definitly order from fashion lande again im well pleased with my wedding dress its lush...
I ordered a dress from here a month in advance and with the mixed reviews and overall consensus that they are pretty slow... im starting to get a little nervous. It is a week before the occasion and i still havent received anything from the company (tracking info, said dress, email response, etc). Would it be a waste of money to buy another dress or should i just wait it out?
After reading all the bad reviews I was skeptical about using this mob, however I decided to bite the bullet and place an order as I could not afford the 4-500% markups in a shop.
Anyway on 18 June I ordered my wedding gown, bridesmaid dress, 2 flowergirl dresses and mother of the bride dress. Total order including freight $550 tho silly me should have bought in USD and saved even more. The dresses turned up today - 2 days shipping from China - can't even get a letter in Australia this quick. That was normal service and not a rush order.
The dresses are sensational and am glad I didn't heed all the bad reports. Only 2 minor problems - the sash on 1 of the flowergirl dresses has a tiny hole (looks like a scissors nick) not much bigger than a pin head and you can't notice as it is in a fold and my gown has what looks like a machine oil spot on it so will have to have it dry cleaned before the wedding.
Similar dress to mine in a store in Brisbane $480 and took 8 weeks for it to be made (probably in China) - Fashionlande $87
