We cannot control how fast the other side responds. Sometimes the banks play malicious games to discourage you by waiting to the legal maximum they can to respond while other banks respond right away. Also, the bank can agree after the first engagement or they may try to negotiate a final settlement. If negotiations occur then this will inevitably increase the overall recovery time frame. There are also scenarios where you sent money from multiple banks. It is possible to recover money from one bank first while it could take longer to recover from another bank. You also need to consider the possibility that your bank may offer you 70% back but you will not accept this resolution leading to further deliberations.
We have had many recoveries within a month while a few recoveries have taken over two years but this is on the extreme ends of the spectrum.
