It's not an FXCC thing that spreads may be a bit wide during volatily, it affects the whole market.
When the news are released, or the instruments liquidity is extremely high, of course there would be spreads, it like asking why the ground is wet after a rain
Anyways the spreads are not that wide, or you can just wait out the volatily and trade some other time..
