Question:
What about buying products from gazelle? i was considering buying the iphone 5s 16gb from the website in excellent condition. do you think it will live up to what's expected?
Question:
I've not used this site myself, but i took a look since they're in the news just now. the ipad 2 was released yesterday, prompting gazelle to let it be known that they're knee-deep in people lining up to sell their useless and obsolete old ipads already. the prices on offer seem fair: a 32gb wifi model will fetch $340 in pristine condition, not at all bad as the new price online is not much more than $100 above that. if they really are offering this sort of deal, that makes an ipad seem almost worth buying. it would be interesting to know which retail and wholesale outlets are the target for these used products, i couldn't see anything about that. the company has an a+ rating from the bbb, for what that's worth, and is an accredited business. however, they've had 82 complaints registered in the last three years, almost half of which were in the last year, and though that doesn't sound a lot it is quite high. most people never complain to the bbb, believing for some reason that it doesn't do them any good, so these figures are usually much lower than you'd expect. out of 87 complaints, the bbb show 50 as being "administratively closed", which means that the bbb closed them unilaterally, and not necessarily with the customer's consent. officially that happens when the bbb determines that the company has done its best to resolve a complaint, whether the customer is happy or not. i think this is just enough to make me wary of using the service but not bad enough to put me off entirely. after all, if so many ipad owners are using it, it must be ok, mustn't it? anyone else got any recent updates about this one?
