“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means.

Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

Orders are wrong, they don't check it, they deliver to the wrong address and lets face it, grubhub just wants your money and have no customer service skills. Save your money and time, it is not a time saver when your food arrives cold, over priced and thats IF you actually get your order.

They assigned my food to a driver an hour away. By the time it gets here, it will be stone cold. Refused to refund me. Terrible service that either uses AI or outsourced bad workers for "customer service."

A meal that would cost me 7.99 to pick up costs me $20.00 when having Grub Hub to deliver. I should actually thank them because they have forced me to stop using deliver. The convenience is not worth the cost. They also will do multiple stops before getting my luke warm to cold food to me.

I supposedly get GrubHub+ with Amazon. 80% of my orders never arrive and what does is cold. Do NOT use GrubHub. In the last week or so had a driver steal my Pizza. And then not deliver two other orders when I could not get out of the house due to illness. In my case my illness actually worsed due to lack of expected food intake.Thei AI help bot could not care.

What a great offer I thought from Lyft... Grubhub discounts included. SO WRONG. Vacationing in Hawaii, and ordered dessert for my daughter after a long day out. Another wrong move. What was to be 20 minutes, turned into 1.5 hours. Driver did come in without signaling she had arrove. Took picture of dessert, looked around, and then took the dessert with her. Minutes later sending me text that she had delivered it. Customer service is not a thing for Grubhub. Needless to say, this shady driver will continue to do this to others to come, as they could care less when reported. And to see my 1 star matches all others reviews, seals the deal.

I wrote this exact review on a differ platform, too. First, we cancelled our Grubhub+ a month ago due to pretty bad experiences with their partner restaurants and errors (every time) on our orders. Tonight, however, was the final straw. We gave them another try at full price. Our order was cancelled an hour and ten minutes after the order was picked up by the restaurant. It was cancelled AFTER the driver arrived at the restaurant and sat for 30 minutes. He then proceeded to deliver another order, RETURNED TO THE RESTAURANT, where he sat for another fifteen minutes. He then updated the delivery time which would have made our delivery 30 minutes late and then, suddenly, cancelled the order. The cancellation was not due to being out of a menu item. When that happens, the order is cancelled right away. That has happened to us before. We thought maybe it got so late that the restaurant had closed at that point. Nope. I called the restaurant, and they were still open and would be open for another three hours.

If you enjoy over-priced ice-cold food, use the Grubhub service! This evening, I had the pleasure of using a $40 gift card I was given from my work to order a dinner. We ordered three hamburgers from Red Robbin. The bill came to over $80! After watching the driver pick up my food at the restaurant, I then watched them make a stop at another restaurant. After picking up an order form there, they proceeded to drive clear across town (in the opposite direction) and drop that order off. I watched our dinner drive around for over 30 minutes. By the time the food finally got to our house it was ice cold. I asked that it be left on the bench by our front door. It was placed on the ground. Well, at least with the gift card it only cost me $40. Oh, wait. They charged the full amount to my credit card and did not use the gift card at all. So, I paid over $80 for 3 cold hamburgers. After chatting with support, I was told there was nothing that could do but offer me a $5 credit. Amazing. Use at your own risk.

Terrible customer service, delivery drivers constantly not reading the delivery instructions OR the sign I have on the door of the enclosed porch!? I mean this is ridiculous. We should be able to contact you with our issues and the inquiry be settled. Settled meaning both parties meet or have an understanding that allows us to feel heard and cared for. Which is not AT ALL how you are handling things. Esp because I can tell your agents are now scripted (I know this because I spoke to three dif agents) (oh, and not to mention I see the same complaints and the SAME verbiage used with OTHER customers that write reviews- so it's 100% Bull.

The FIRST time I used Grub Hub, I ordered as I usually do on Uber Eats. I got a text message that the Grub Hub driver needed a pin to complete my delivery. My husband was OUT FRONT at the time waiting for the driver. I texted the pop up pin to the driver believing he would then leave the order with my husband. DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP. Food was never delivered. Money was kept. I informed Grub Hub and they just said they "notated" that the driver texted for the pin. When I complained that I wanted a refund because we receive NO FOOD, they said 48 hours had gone by since the delivery, so no refund. A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS. POOOOOOR SERVICE. THEIVES.

NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER. They kept my money even when I contacted them and told them nothing was received.

We have used Grubhub quite often, but since they teamed up with Amazon no food gets delivered 3 times. Credit card was charged 3 times. Restaurant never got the order. I can't show proof of purchase because it was never delivered.

FIRST OF ALL I AM A DISABLED PERSON. So I ordered Lunch at noon the delivered items were garbage. So I ordered 4 items from Istanbul Kebab Restaurant. 2 shawarme sandwiches, which were ok, 1 kelle tandir which was also ok. And 1 egg plant kebab which was NOT DELIVERED. I called the restaurant and they appologized and told me they were out of it an they will contact Grub Hub to refund the $23.00. I called Grubhub and they told me they refunded the garbage I received noon time because of my complaint, but they can not refund this UNSENT item even if it is not delivered. IS THIS THE WAY THEY PUNISH A CUSTOMER FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT A BAD FOOD DELIVERED, WENT TO GARGAGE WITOUT BEING CONSUMED AND PAY FOR AN ITEM WHICH IS NOT DELIVERED EVEN WITHOUT TALKING TO THE RESTAURANT WHICH ADMITS THEY COULD NOT SEND IT BECASE IT WAS FINISHED. Below is tbe picture of philly cheese steak which is filled with fat, onions and tomatos. I have never heard of a philly cheese steak like that. Just garbage.

I attempted to place an order on GrubHub, which I do regularly on Tuesdays and Fridays, but I was blocked. The application told me to contact customer care to place my order. GrubHub also removed all my payment information with no warning or explanation. I called customer care to get an explanation for what was happening, but they told me they could not help me. They said they would send my information to a different team but refused to let me know when I would hear back. The rep told me there was a security issue, so I demanded they let me know what was happening. When a rep tells you there is a security issue with your account, and all your payment information is missing, hearing "I can't help you" is not reassuring. I escalated to a manager who read from the same exact script. Five minutes later, I received an email saying my account had been closed, with no real explanation other than violating "Your Content and Conduct." Obviously... this is in retaliation for me telling the CS Manager the service I received in the call was unacceptable. I did not raise my voice. Used professional language. GH can even review the call and see that is the case. Verson G is the person responsible for the account closure, but of course, I cannot contact that person because that would be far too efficient and helpful. I have never filed a complaint with a restaurant or driver. I have never had an adverse interaction with any restaurant or driver. I have never received any notification of any problems. Just a notification that my account was closed and no attempt to explain what "security incident" caused my credit card information to be removed from my account. I want a full explanation of what happened and what is being done to address the "security incident."

I ordered pizza hut on 6/5/24@5:29:55PM through grubhub Amazon prime to be told it would be here no later than 6:08. Then I got another text message stating that no later than 6:44. Then I hit the track button when it still wasn't here and it said it would be delivered by 7:14. Once we finally got the order the pizza was ice cold. I also found out that GrubHub charges more than what Pizza Hut charges plus they may deliver for free but they are charging a service fee as well as automatically add a 20% tip that you can change. So excluding the tip GrubHub charged me $36.77 where had I picked it up from Pizza Hut it would have cost me $26.75 so there is a $10.02 difference. Pictures included. Horrible!

I was wondering where my order was so I looked on the site and saw that it had been canceled without any notice.

I contacted via chat and I was told that my account was blocked for some reason though he couldn't tell me why. He said someone would get in contact with me in 24-48 hours. I told him no need because I will never try this group again. Door dash it is

I got a year free delivery charges through my credit card.

I still got charged and had to chat with customer service in another country, and keep repeating myself. It was painful.

Each delivery, I ask the driver to ring the door bell for a tip; to avoid them leaving my food on the ground. They still leave it on the ground and don't ring the bell.

I just happen to look out to find cold food.

I'm using Postmates and Uber Eats once my free subscription ends.

This is too ghetto for me to spend the type of money that I spend!

Great site for all types of take out and delivery places. Gives discounts to frequent users on top of the discounts that one may get from the restaurant, which I find financially endearing. Also they have a very easy to use chat service which is online 24/7, to help check up on orders that are late or whatever else you may need help with. You can store credit card info, etc, making ordering in very simple. I sometimes put the order in from my droid and then it's there minutes after I arrive. Great stuff.

Fast, friendly & cheap delivery fees.
Kinda hard to mess this up if you ask me.

After reading some of the reviews, I see people have complained about the food, and it's presentation. Takeout is not known to be beautifully plated... it's usually shoved in a box.
They've also complained about the service... this persons job is to pick up the food from said restaurant & drive it to you.

My suggestion if you want 5 star service is to unearth yourself from the rock you've been hiding under since April and go get your own food!

Grubhub is great. Glad it's available for tired moms like me! Thanks grub hub!

Inferior restaurants, iffy payment processing (sometimes PayPal and credit card payments work flawlessly, other times they don't work at all), way off delivery times (food arrives way sooner or way later than estimated delivery.) Now I know most people probably wont complain about an earlier than expected delivery, but sometimes this too can be annoying. Imagine being told that you have around 35-45 minutes before your order arrives, so you decide to hop in the shower, maybe shave and get dressed, only to end up with an angry delivery person on your doorstep threatening to take the food back to the restaurant when they arrived away ahead of the expected delivery time. The other extreme is waiting for what feels like hours for food from a restaurant that you could have walked to and back from multiple times. A restaurant that is never very busy and is presently in a slow period when you place your order. These are just a few areas where Grubhub needs to improve.

I've been ordering food from this site for the past year, and I have never had a single complaint with their service. With more than 40 orders made, I think that is significant.

On the rare occasion that a restaurant makes a mistake or is slow to deliver, Eat24 customer service has resolved the problems quickly and to my satisfaction. I have never encountered anyone rude or dismissive. They are quick, friendly, and helpful.

Additionally, they constantly offer coupons via email or on Facebook, so I often save a couple bucks, allowing me to offer a bigger tip to the delivery person. I'm very pleased and will continue to use their service to find a number of local restaurants that offer convenient delivery to my work and home.

I am a loyal GrubHub user when it comes to getting delivery from places that don't deliver themselves. I have found after using it multiple times that it's very hit or miss. For example, there is one restaurant that always takes the full hour to deliver, and one time I got the wrong burger, but I'm blaming that on the restaurant because the rest of my order was fine. Then now I have found one place that I order from religiously, because I'm addicted, and the order is always here about 10-20 minutes sooner than expected. I've tried a couple other restaurants over my time of using GrubHub and they went fine as well. So my advice is to not let the bad reviews scare you, I'd just proceed with caution until you know how it works for you in your area.

When GrubHub online offer didn't go thru, Simmarons gave us the number to call and complain. When site automatically placed pick up order instead of Delivery, Simmarons fixed it immediately. When we called to say we didn't get our food via Delivery, they told us why and delivered to us VERY quickly. Nice phone manners. Great wings! Cheese steak pretty good. Will order again but not thru Grub Hub ever again. This restaurant should separate from Grub hub marketing.

Tip for consumers:
Do Not order vi a GrubHub.
