Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from healthcare.gov staff and previous consumers.
I tried to change plans for the last five months going via MarketPlace. It is marketplace agent who completely misleads me in December. I succeeded in MP agent to petition on my behalf. Just received letters from Florida blue and marketplace catering that my petition was denied yet that my insurance membership was cancelled per my request. I never asked the marketplace agent and supervisor (yes. She was a supervisor as well, the one who petitioned on my behalf) it is extremely frustrating and worse in the case who needs urgent medical care. I share this so to advise anyone in the same situation to be absolutely cautious and to be completely methodical as far as MP. And even doing so, it still seems to me that the HMP does whatever it feels like doing and we, the consumers, are completely powerless. I am leaving the marketplace. But want to share my experience on as many forums and sites as I can. Good luck to you and your wife and congratulations.
Same happened to me. So agent at marketplace switched me from PPO to HMO without telling me and completely mislead me last December promising me that this new plan was the one I needed. As it happens, it is the worst plan from Florida Blue. These so called "agents" at the marketplace have no idea what is going on, many can care less, they know that we, the consumers, are powerless to do anything. They apparently are not allowed to give their employee ID number and names do not suffice to place a formal complaint against any of them. Health Marketplace went from being a dream come true to the worst nightmare. I hope you finally solved your issue
Oh YES. And I have tried to dispute the claims my insurance is rejecting. The MP agent whom I got in December in order to renew my plan completely mislead me and the plan I have on is the worst plan Florida Blue is offering. According to Florida blue agents, they have no control over what the Marketplace decides and claim that the Marketplace refuses to communicate with them. I suspect that Florida Blue is also taking advantage of the situation. I pay twice as much as before and my copays are 3 times what they used to be. And my network is quite restraint now. Many of the specialists I used to see are no longer in my network. I am kind of relieved to see how many people are unhappy with HMO. I started to wonder if it was me who in fact was wrong and who misunderstood or…
BECAUSE THEY ARE UNEDUCATED IGNORANT PEOPLE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HIRED. TRUMP NEEDS TO FIRE ALL THEM AND SHUT THIS DOWN. THEY HAVE YET AGAIN SCREWED UP MY PLAN AND MY DAUGHTERS 15 CALLS LATER AND I RENEWED IN NOVEMBER... THEY DELETED ME AND PUT MY DAUGHTER... JERKS THEN GAVE HER A MESSED UP PLAN
