How does a person that is new in town find a good surgeon or how they are rated? i had a nurse suggest health grades web site to find information on a doctor. well from what i have read here i don't want to but life in the hands of dr. that is on health grades

Answer:

Healthgrades.com is a scam. Their information is totally incorrect. I have been a licensed therapist for years, and they publish my name (without my consent, of course) with the title of Intern. They also publish names of colleagues I have worked with over the years who retired or quit long, long ago! Do not use them as a resource for anything. Jill Margaret Hoffman, LMFT, California

I don't know. I suspect that if the physician really is offended and wants to do something about it. I'm not a lawyer but I know truth is an absolute defense in a liable suit. G

This is the primary issue with this site and similar sites. They let people post "reviews" that can be false, made up and fraudulent under the cloak of anonymity.No one from Healthgrades will respond to you; although, if you contact Healthgrades by e-mail, you will eventually receive a response stating that you can sign up for instructions on how to improve your ratings; for a fee. It's also called extortion. The only way you can successfully have a negative review removed is by hiring an attorney and sue.

Reviews for health grades, show numerous comments that you have fake reviews and unwilling to delete or correct. why won't you delete them???

Are you able to prescribe pain medications?

You sort listings by best match and distance. if a doctor is nearby ( eg. less than two miles ) but doesn't show up on best match. is that a prob.?
