I WAS RECENTLY LOOKING TO BOOK AT ONE OF THE HOUSES LISTED ON HOME AWAY, BUT AFTER READING NUMEROUS BAD REVIEWS I AM NOW RETHINKING BOOKING THROUGH HOMEAWAY. I KNOW ALOT OF TIMES BAD REVIEWS ARE DUE TO PEOPLE WHO DONT READ EVERYHTING ABOUT A PROPERTY OF LISTING BUT ALOT OF THEM SAY THE WERE CHARGED ADDITIONAL FEES THAT WERE NOT DISCLOSED UP FRONT. I AM ON A BUDGET AND CAN'T AFFORD MORE THAN THE TOTAL PRICE LISTED ON THIS PROPERTY. CAN ANYONE TELL ME MORE ABOUT THESE ADDITION FEES THAT MAY SHOW UP? ARE THEY LEGIT THINGS THAT HAPPEN?

Avoid them at all cost! They're criminals!

Use airbnb! HomeAway will not help you if there are any problems

Do not give your card details as they are passed to other companies who raid your bank account, plus booking fees that were never mentioned, plus inernational bank charge fees

Most extra fees are charged by HomeAway, they want us property owners to sign up for it, then overcharge and/or cheat the client. Most property owners do have extra fees in the form of tax, cleaning and/or extra guest
