Ive filled in the debit card payment an booked, but still heard nothing about if the appartment is booked or not, feeling very concerned

If I were you I would run as far as you can from these people!

What does 'still' mean? 24 hours? Three days? A month? You should get a confirmation within a day or so, if not, email the owners and stop the money if you don't hear from them. As somebody who lets out property we always acknowledge receipt of money almost instantly, and anybody who does not is either incompetent and rude, or a fraudster.

We didn't get a notice after payment until we emailed the landlord a couple of days before the trip to confirm our reservation. (we booked 4 months in advance)We found the place through Home Away and some friends stayed at other rentals through the same site, but they had different landlords, and they loved their places. We have yet to hear back regarding our deposit, and it's been two weeks.

If there's an email or number to the landlord definitely contact them ASAP. If not I would contact home away. I eventually got my money back, about a week later.
