on 7/18/15I have several pieces of Moissanite set in Platineve and have not had any problems. I've had some of my pieces for a few years and am happy with the way they have held up. Moissanite is more expensive than CZ's and I wouldn't expect anything less from Charles & Colvard to set these stones in to. Hope this helps!
I have probably bought 200 pieces of jewelry in the last 3 years. I've returned about half, but only b/c they didn't look good on my stubby fingers, or it was just too much on impulse and I changed my mind (and changing your mind is an option for returning). Nothing ever turned my skin any color or turned any color. And the only real gold jewelry I've bought (maybe 5 pieces) was on auction. Everything else is silver or gold/over. I'm shocked by some of the stuff I'm reading. Maybe some of these reviews are competitors or trolls. Not all, just some.
Yes. YES. It wears off. If your jewelry never gets the least bit wet, damp, sweaty, if it never rubs against anything else, if you wear it only for a hour once in a while, it will wear off. If it sits in a jewelry box untouched for a long period of time, it will wear off. Be aware that you're paying for the gemstone--not the metal. Strongly suggest you buy a better metal without any kind of "coating". No matter the process or how sturdy it is described, the clad will wear off.
Plantineeve. Supposed to be platinum. No that is the finest and most expensive metal on the planet. Grey silverish... will never turn colors. Yes it will wear of. When plated over other metal. The only put a very very thin layer of platinum over other metal... like news paper thin. It will wear of depending on wearing the item. The same with 10. 14. 18. K gold. It will wear of. A paperthin plating of these metals are over the sterling or any other metal. When the plating wears of. A not so nice looking piece of jewelry will show up..
