Overall, the experience of try-before-you-buy was very easy. Unfortunately, the foundation itself didn't work for me. Honestly, I don't necessarily think it's the product itself, but really my face just hates every single foundation I use. I will say that Luminess at least made my skin look flawless for about 3 hours, then the oils in my t-zone separated it and it looked so cakey. But the normal parts of my face held onto it well.
When I went to request a return, customer service was amazing. They offered to let me talk to a specialist for alternate tips to help with my skincare. I had initially been charged for the product, but once they realized the mistake, they refunded it immediately without issues.
I think it's definitely worth a try!

Like I explained in my initial review, I requested to cancel my subscription, and the CSR was super nice and helpful, and it was taken care of with ease. I wish all CSR’s everywhere had the same customer service!

Foundation color was off and just overall unflattering look. After using using a small amount face felt cakey and clumpy. And this product makes a huge mess in your bathroom. Not very easy to use. Also my brush came broken.

Before buying make sure you know your color. It's also advertised as an air brush makeup but really you just spray it on the brush. Didn't give me the results I hoped for. Did not know how to contact company.

I have tried this foundation for about a week. I fail to get a smooth, even application. This goes on spotty, uneven and ends up very cakey. I'm sure it's more my older skin but, was hoping this would be my "IT" foundation. Customer service was excellent and I do love the face palette that came with this kit. Thank you for letting me try this product.

I love this product, I think this is the best make-up I ever had. It's perfect and it does stay on for the whole day. Doesn't look cakey and no streaking. My skin has uneven texture due to acne scarring, luminess helps with that. It blurs the problem areas with a matte finish. My skin is also oily, I carry blotting sheets with me, the foundation doesn't transfer as much like other foundations I've used in the past. Over all, luminess is the best! Thank you so much!

Your products are wonderful. I love the way they make my skin feel very soft and smooth just looking for better coverage for under eye dark circles and to hide wrinkles or to make them look less noticeable.

Billing address is different, and it took me awhile to figure out how to change it. You need to make that more clear to shopper.

They called me and took care of errors with my order; plus, inquired about form. Ii changed my review to five stars because of the promptness in which they called me. I was very impressed. I hope I like this makeup, because I feel I'll get a lot of support getting color right, etc.

It's not for me.the consistency is either too heavy or too little. The base doesn't make a difference in the longevity as does the sealer. The spray goes all over my vanity. I'll keep giving it a chance to see if I like it anymore but as of now. I won't reorder.

I called and spoke to someone and she wound up telling me, i wish i could help i found a solution...my hands do not work well plus the product was very heavy,,,i now spray the first bottle on my sponge and then the second bottle.then i put dabs on my face and smooth it out with the brush...this takes some time,,,but it may help other 80 year olds with arthritis...sorry its just not my tea...but i hope my suggestion may help others thank you

Ordered trial skin makeup, but had another product added that I did not order. Not sure how this happened. Could have been a mistake on my part when you finalize your order. But Luminess Company was very gracious in removing charge for this order. Great customer service. And so far very happy with my trial makeup order. Will order again in future

I am excited I am using eyeliner and eyeshadow for the first time in a very long time. However, suddenly my lips are dry chapped and hurting and ai can't wear my lipstick from Luminess. Trying to figure out if they changed something or if my body is just crazy!

I have been using this product for a week now. The color match was spot on. My skin has a nice glow. I am experiencing a little break out but hopefully once I get adjusted to this new product it will go away.

The makeup itself is awesome. Full coverage for sure. I feel like a lot of product is wasted though by spraying it on the brush and it goes all over the sink and your hand. But I like how light it feels on my face. I have not tried the spray on makeup remover yet or the setting powder. Shipping was about 2 weeks later than planned and the tracking was not very good.

Emailed to see the status of my order when it was already late. Person said don't worry it'll be there in 2 days...it wasn't. And the tracking on my end never got updated so it showed stuck in Ohio for nearly 2 weeks.

I could not be more in love with Luminess! I did a test swipe on one side of my face as soon as I got it and it was instant love. The product is so lightweight, give flawless yet natural coverage and the smallest bit goes a long way! I can have my full face done in under a minute and it looks like I had it professionally done! Best, best, BEST foundation I've ever used. Hands down.

My experience over all has been good.
The product has made my face break out. I'm unsure of why. So i decided to wait until this break out cleared up and try again. I think one of my other cleaning proficiency may have something to do with the breakout. We shall see

I absolutely love this lightweight yet great coverage foundation. The color I wanted was out of stock so I decided to mix two colors and it's perfect. Really lovely product. I'm a middle aged woman that's starting to get fine lines and wrinkles. This blurs it all nicely. I've looked for a foundation to love for many years because I hate the heavy feeling of most. I hope this stays around for a long time. Thank you

Delivery took a long time. When I finally did receive it the tracking info didn't match and I never received any follow up info on how to go about the trial. I had to reach out to customer service myself for help on next steps.

very helpful, took care of what I needed

The luminous feels good on your face, but for me it wont-work. My skin is a little dry and it still leaves me with makeup embedded in my fine lines. I'm sure this product would be good for someone else. I'm glad I tried it.

The primer, foundation, and setting spray were received very quickly and I was excited to try them out. However, the foundation was a little too orangey for my skin and it rubs off very easily. Also, it doesn't seem to work well over top of my under eye makeup & concealer - which is super disappointing because it doesn't give me enough coverage to not wear under eye makeup and concealer. I will be sending it back.

The ordering was a bit confusing. I'm excited to try it but so far the color shade I selected is not right. I also don't remember being aware that I ordered several other products along with the spray foundation and that I have a balance due? Somehow, I missed all of that. Anyway, if I can get the shade right hopefully, I will be able to upgrade my experience. Thank you!

I called once and got as far as a person who was going to assist me with the shade selection but then was disconnected. I tried again last evening and got as far as the person telling me that she would email me so I could send her pictures but as of today I still don't have that email.

So after using this product for a week, there are a lot of steps we weren't told about, the coverage is ok and the color is orange. I believe that bottle won't last long and would be expensive to constantly replace.

I did the try before you bought it, and it charged my card a large amount of money, over $100, and a separate charge for just the shipment. There were no instructions on how to return it if you don't like it, It is awful and dries my face out so bad that I look scaly and flaky. It looks nothing like my face color even after the color match.

I tried the product and it did not work as advertised. I tried to return via online and calling with no luck. Finally got through to be told return was expired and was only offered $50 refund. This is frustrating and will not ever use product or by from this company again. Regards, Laurie Wheatley

Well when I finally got through to someone I was only given an option of a partial refund because after failing to getting through I was unable to return because of expiration by two days. Beyond frustrated and disappointed
