This is illegal, companies are not entitled to take random amounts out a customers bank account, regardless of their terms & conditions. You must report them to BBC watchdog, trading stanards (your local office) etc we have to gwt these people shot down they are crooks

I think as soon as you click on autobid on an auction a pop up window comes up suggesting it would be a good idea to activate auto top up so that you never run out of credit and it takes it at £25 a time so you may have accidentally clicked on a pop up window and also when you first sign up they try to get you to sign up for auto top up. I very much doubt you will get anything our of them I'm afraid.

The problem gets difficult once you have made any sort of bid. Ask them to send you a copy of the terms and conditions referring to automatic bidding and ask why large payments are not visible on your online sccount. If all else fails tell them you are going to report them to Trading Standards and also send your issues to Watchdog - they love getting their teeth into this sort of stuff!

Get as much paperwork as you can by way of receipts from these crooks first. Then you maybe able to take it further depending on what sort of card you use to pay and what your bank may be able to do for you. I had a similar overcharge situation, however I got it reimbursed from the bank, due to the underhanded uninformed means by which the very well known company got it was not legal. Best of luck
