on 4/4/16Hi Stephen,
First of all, I am really sorry you are still dealing with Match.com and their unethical ways. I am still receiving emails for Match too, even though I have canceled my account many months ago.
I scam every email they send me, but they send new emails form alternate email addresses. Perhaps you will have better luck then me, if call them.
I am seriously thinking of contacting Better Business Bureau to see if that helps. I know that it looks bad for a business to have complaints on them on BBB, so if you mentioned that to Match when you call them (that is if you get to reach them), they might stop pestering you. So the only advice I can think of is, contact BBB, and state your concern and complaint to them.
Good luck!
I agree. Give them a call and hopefully they will be able to help you. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience when I called them, but hopefully you will. The guy just kept saying "unfortunately I can't help you ma'am," I asked for manager after manager and it was like talking to a recording "unfortunately I can't help you ma'am"... So annoying.
Good luck.
I agree with A. B. give them a call or send them an email. It truly is amazingly crooked and dishonest the way Match creates (and sometimes end) all these allied dating sites that purport to cater to subsegments of the dating world... like older, younger, recently divorced. And they hide the fact that they are a subsidiary! They tried to compete with Fitness.com with some other scam site but, glad to see, Fitness (who doesn't use these tactics) is still the leader in fitness dating sites. Yes Match is very mercenary but, nowadays, that's not unusual in the business community!
Good luck with this site " it SUCKS" Never again. Real people looking for a real relationship are being mislead! How they get away with advertising it on tv is beyond me. Trading standards should step in and close this site and pay back all the hard earned money paid in to try and find some happiness? Anyone reading these reviews should seriously stay away... I been on pod didn't cost me a penny and there are real people on there who do answer you so try it and don't waste your money on a bunch of money grabbing scumbags. Good luck...
They tend to send meaningless messages after you leave to get you back on with them. In reality these turn out to only be an attempt to stick it to you. Most commonly these are really messages to get you to return to active status at a cost not a valid match. They have no customer service so you'll just get hassled and charged again. I'd block their email domain and move on. Try meeting someone attractive nearby in person it is the only way to connect in reality the rest is pricey BS going nowhere. Good luck
Its truly amazing that the DOJ Has not open an investigation againstthese scammers at match. Com. They deliberately create false profiles that "like" you and "fav" you. When you click back account does not exist. Its so blatantly clear their deceit against lonely people. They are real cruel scammers. At least we should spread the word, print flyers to reveal their lack of honestly. CRIMINAL$ $NATCH.COM!
