I actually had one of them try to email me and tell me that the charge was a totally refundable thing, that they only ran my card for the 7 day trial period and then they would give me the money back, but they are huge scammers and liars. I had to go to the bank and have them stop payment. Otherwise, they will keep charging you. Please take care of it right away. They will charge you anywhere from 1-10 times in a month at $8.99 each, and then they will eventually charge you $89.99 a month. Go to your bank TODAY and ask them to stop payment. They will also issue you a new debit card on the spot if you ask them to. Chase bank was pissed when I told them what had happened, and they helped me get it all straightened out, but they were never able to find any real contact info for Scribd, so at the risk of sounding like a broken record, GO TO THE BANK AND STOP PAYMENT! These people are FRAUDS!
It's an ebook and audiobook lending service. Like Netflix, except they suck.
