I've been a member of Socially Uncensored for quite some time and I would like to state that the reviews on this page suggesting that the owner Adam Howard bans people haphazardly that disagree with him is utter rubbish! I am a very strong speaker of my mind and I have personally gone head on with Adam publicly on his site over site issues and things of a personal nature. He never banned me for things I wrote and make no mistake, at least one of these incidents would have gained me a ban from many other sites. I have known the odd person to get a ban from Socially Uncensored, but they had to work hard at it to get there.

Adam Howard can be very persuasive, but do not be fooled. He wants you to believe that SU is an uncensored community, yet, the very moment that you go against this man for ANY reason, he slams that ban hammer down without so much as a warning. Free speech ONLY after he CENSORS your words. Frankly, I had no dog in this fight. I gave this man the benefit of the doubt, and ultimately drew my own conclusions. In short, I find the site to be heavily-moderated by a staff of administrators that condones the owner's plagiarism and overall dishonesty. After telling him exactly what I thought, I left on my own accord. Thankfully, I did not open my wallet to him, as others have done, and continue to do.

Adam howard aka the visitors has been disrupting the thoughts.com community for almost a year to feed this scheme of his. Many people have been thrown out of his site for flimsy cause, many more have left in disgust at the censorship, petty bickering and temper tantrums.

There have been numerous reports of unsafe spyware activity around the site. There have been reports of hacked e-mail accounts and apparently somebody is harassing him via e-mail masquerading as me.

Aside from the spyware and hacking, socially censored is like any other chat forum fiefdom. Friends of the owner and people they like only. Anybody else will be harassed until they leave or commit a bannable infraction.

Not exactly my cup of tea. I will not let my personal feelings influence my review of the site. The site does seem to be well run. I do have some questions about the ethics of the site owner. Using the word uncensored in the sites name and as an advertising slogan for the site seems to be a misnomer. What really goes on is that you can say as you please as long there is no perception on the owner or staff's part that you violate any laws or place the site in jeopardy or do it in "bad" taste. Which is the same thing as any other social site with laws and a TOS to govern what people say.

The owner does NOT allow child porn or illegal downloads. That is why a few trolls have said bad things about the site. But don't take my word for it. See for yourself. The site is uncensored.

Adam Howard's Personal Playground. He is perfect in every way, therefore any criticism or negative comment about him is SLANDER and you will be deleted! Also, Xenforo platform has a feature called 'discourage IP' and it screws with you in a dozen ways, like brower redirects, deliberate lag, involuntary change of avatar, etc, It's insidious, Adam is an imperial pompoous, paranoid jackass, and CENSORS all the time to cover his stinky hiney.

Like with any community, it has its trolls and the above review is just one of them. SU is a friendly place that lets everyone talk about anything.

One of the first things you should know about this site, is it isn't uncensored, if you go against the site owners own personally views The so-called owner, is one Adam Howard, and before this, he was said to have a partner named Jane, who many believe is actually an imaginary friend.
Recently he has released a bot he called Hal9000 to steal, (copy and paste) work from another site, Thoughts.com, and post them on his site as Hal9000. The only thing wrong, is this so called bot doesn't have the capabilities to do this. The works had to be manually stolen(copy and pasted) by him.
The whole staff of this site was informed of his actions, and went along with his little game of plagiarism.He later released the private forum where he had told his staff, to the membership of the site. Many were outraged, some, his $#*! kissers, went along with his game as well.
I was one of the outraged. I told him what I thought of it, and of him, and was banned permanently without even so much as an email giving me his reasons, since I thought the site was uncensored, and he had at may times stated we could say what we wanted to him. Guess he didn't mean it!
After my ban, he went back into the Thoughts site, and stole a lot of my work from there and once again said he had unleashed his "bot", but in reality it was he, himself. I was informed by a friend of what he had done, and immediately told him of my intentions to file a DMCA report. Since then, he has removed my material, and the thread he had posted it on.
This is one site, if you are looking to start blogging, or move your blogs to, I would never do. He, the site owner is dishonest, and his staff as well.
If anyone doubts what I have said here, I have screenshots to prove he readily admitted to the Hal9000 scandal.

SociallyUncensored.com is a free online community, which allows its members to freely express themselves without the fear of being censored.

I joined Socially Uncensored with the assumption that is was an uncensored site. I thought that I finally found a site where I can speak my mind. The owner, Adam Howard, has stated over and over again, that his site was uncensored and encouraged the bloggers to share pretty much anything they wanted.

The other bloggers whom I have got to know, seemed like really nice people. I enjoyed blogging there and enjoyed the blogs I read.

Sure, there were trolls, every site has them, but little did I know, the biggest troll was the owner himself.

Ill be honest, I don't even remember what happened that made me look at his TOS.
In the TOS, it stated that if you post a picture on his site, then it becomes legally his.

I was a little concerned with what I read, as I have posted a few personal pictures on his site, so I decided to ask him.

His reply back was "well, its not that simple"
So I replied back, "well, it really is, a simple yes or no, did I read the TOS correctly?"

The dude then started to get a little snippy, but I kept coming back with the same questions, "yes or no"?

He just wouldn't give me a straight answer.

Well, that got me a permanent ban.

He states that I was banned for 'Not agreeing to the TOS.'

So this so-called 'uncensored site' was by far the most censored site that I have ever belonged too.

Oh, to make matter worse, when he bans you and you click on to get to the site, it brings you to amazon, where he is an affiliate seller there.

But Adam swears, he doesn't do SPAM. Lol

I would avoid this site if you are looking to blog. All my blogs now remain on his site and I cant have access to them.

The only thing that I am grateful for, is I wasn't even on that site too long. If he can ban you for just asking a question about his TOS, I am glad I found out that sooner or later by putting so much energy and time into the site.

Adam holds the strings and the minute you question anything, he bans you. But he will tell you over and over again how he takes pride in the fact that it is uncensored.
