I've used Stitch Fix for about three years. I've added some great, well-fitted pieces to my wardrobe. Generally I keep at least 3-4 of the five items. Occasionally the box is a miss but most fixes are spot on. Clothing quality has been consistently good. I like being able to pause and schedule for later in the year as needed. Styles were appropriate for me and my age. I'm an above average size gal and the pieces they select make me feel feminine and stylish, not frumpy. I've purchased jeans, dresses, work pants, sweaters, blouses/tops, blazers and casual items. Seems like many previous items also match newer ones, which I love. My experience is my stylist listens to what I like and want. Overall happy with prices, quality, service and style. Have recommended to family and friends.
I have tried numerous times to cancel my subscription and tell them to STOP sending fixes, but they don't answer the phone, and provide NO number or link to cancel my account. I am having them blocked from just taking Styling Fees at their whim! They appear to refuse to allow cancellations!

Tip for consumers:
THEY DO NOT PROVIDE A LINK IN ONE'S ACCOUNT TO CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION; THEY KEEP SENDING FIXES AND TAKING A STYLE FEE UNAUTHORIZED. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
I was hoping to update my wardrobe and I gave Stitchfix a try. However, it was like they didn't read anything I had written down because they got me everything on my do not want list. I ended up returning my items the very next day and I will still charged for them at the end of the month. I contacted customer support and they told me there's nothing they can do about it.
They completed an order for me and charged my card without my consent! The attached photo is my chat with customer service

None. I didn't complete my order because I didn't want to order from them. They completed it and mailed the crap (to my old address) without my consent
I've been a customer for a year. Most stuff I keep is inexpensive - so the low quality is not necessarily a problem. But then I paid $138 for a little leather purse by American Leather Co and within 6 months the color started rubbing off badly. Stitch Fix would not back up their product - no remedy was available. When I told them that did not make me feel like I should continue being a customer, they went into my account and turned off my seasonal shipments "for me." Terrible customer service. Not getting anything from here ever again.
Tip for consumers:
Lower your expectations.

Clothes are okay - leather purse, not so much.
I set up 2 accounts. 1 for me, and 1 for my son using 2 different e-mails. They de-activate my son's account, but continue to send clothes and charge me. I have no way to check out or cancel the account. I have at least 12 e-mails into customer service and the issue remains unresolved. Very disheartening!
Tip for consumers:
Difficult to contact

The company is incapable of listening to anything besides what you tell them for your size. They don't actually style anything towards what you need, they just try to send you what they have.
You want business casual for work? How about a crop top sweater?
0/10 terrible service it's a WASTE of money
I used to love it when you could make monthly payments- now they stopped that so I will no longer use them because of that. They are expensive but good quality clothes but personally can't afford over $200 for 4-5 pieces of clothing. I'm done
Products used:
Shirts, shoes, pants
Cancel option is removed from home page AND to chat loops to please login. The selection is sub par and almost always can be found on line cheaper. I cancelled in writing with a return. This was ignored. Shipment s keep coming and credit card still being charged

The site does not match what they say you should do, they send you several pieces that are all practically the same. They do not try to make a box that works, I have sent several entire boxes back. It is a let down and a waste of time, especially if you are are size 12 or larger. One entire box came with clothes from their own brand and within a week the seams were coming a part. When this first started it was pretty good but they got too big for their pants and now a computer does a terrible job and just makes you feel ugly and that fashion is outside of your grasp. Pick another service.
You pay a $20 stylist fee, but I strongly believe that no stylist is actually involved in subsequent fixes. The first fix was.great, but then everything just got more overpriced and completely ignored my preferences, even when I left detailed notes for the "stylist." Account cancelled and I will never go back. Customer service is a joke as well.
Although I did enjoy some of my clothing, it was a hassle. Stylists continued to not listen. For example, they sent me jeans, even though I specifically told them "no jeans" I ended having to send the entire fix back. Furthermore, if you do not like the fix preview and do not choose the initial clothing that the stylist chooses for you, they send you a fix with clothes that you never see until it shows up at your door! Crazy that they do not allow you to work with the stylist to choose the clothes more than one time per "fix". Service had potential, but it is poorly managed and the management staff clearly has no vision for making simple upgrades in the process that would markedly improve their clientele's experience and cut back on the dramatic waste of money on returns and client turnover due to frustration with this company.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use them. Too difficult and the stylists do not listen. They charge $20 for each fix, which is applied to your purchase, should your purchase. However, many of your clothes will be a surprise and you will not like them, which causes you to have to send them back and you then lose your $20. Seems like the stylists get paid on the amount of $20 charges they rack up per client. Stay way!

I did the style profile, let them know in general what I was looking for and what I liked to wear, and they sent me a box of poor quality, ill fitting crap some of which blatantly ignored what I asked for.
I filled out the form saying I didn't want any of it and that I would return it. They charged me anyways (and charged more than it said on the receipt) and are totally unresponsive now that I'm trying to figure out how they can charge me for stuff I returned.
Absolutely 100% avoid this company.
I have given StitchFix 3 tries and 15 outfit pieces, but have ended up with only ONE blouse purchased and $40 lost.
Despite providing detailed clothing preferences, links to my Instagram and Pinterest boards, and feedback on each fix received, I saw zero improvement in my future shipments. The style of outfits sent did not reflect my inputs, the sizing got worse with each month, and the customer service rep told me that $50-80 for rayon and polyester was about the standard and they were unable to price any lower. I can get high quality fabrics for much less on my own!
Don't waste your time or money to be duped into thinking you're receiving quality styling and clothing. I would recommend doing your research to buy directly or seek the help of an in store rep.
Stitch Fix is all over the map. I'm not sure if I can recommend it unless you're comfortable blowing $20 on nothing if nothing works, and don't care if the stylist "gets" your note/board/profile (you can hope for one thing, but not much more, with few exceptions).
PROS:
Denim is usually very flattering, if somewhat pricey ($75-200).
Can help you break a style rut.
Good for transitional sizes (e.g., postpartum bodies, weight loss).
CONS:
Profile seems mostly for naught. I think they use it to filter what the stylist sees but my guess is with demand/turnaround most stylists might glance at a few pins but don't consult your profile beyond the filter.
SO MUCH POLYESTER.
Everything looks the same after a while.
I liked it more in the beginning. I can usually find a piece or two per fix that suits me well enough, but if I ask for it to accomplish some goal (nursing friendly? dressy/quality pieces?) I generally don't like what they send.
I really want this to work, but for months I've been sent random, ugly, ill fitting, over priced clothes. I've followed all of their suggestions to get a better fix and it hasn't helped. Not worth the time or effort. I cannot stress enough that this is a horrible service.
The quality decline of their clothing is really noticeable. Their cost cutting measures are making this service unappealing. This is in addition to the super inaccurate AI they are trying to replace people with. It just keeps getting worse. I bought a pair of shoes that are no longer show shaped after a whopping hour. I'll stick to other styling services thay offer actual styling and more than disposable fast fashion at a premium price.

Was excited when they started the plus size box and ended up trying 4 boxes over the last year... nearly every box had an issue. Items on my invoice did not match items I received. Sizes very off, items obviously used - one had a large tear with a safety pin! Substitutions were items on my never send list. Plus jewelry is very cheap...$30+ dollars for earrings/necklace I could find at a discount store for less than $10. Finally cancelled when last box had every single piece wrong - even a double that they'd sent before. Had to spend a lot of time getting the cancellation and my fee back.
I just saw a TV ad for stitch fix. I can't believe it still exists. I filled out a questionnaire and said about three different places that I needed work appropriate clothes and was not interested in low cut tops. Nearly everything they sent me was flimsy, the wrong size, and -- you guessed it -- slit down nearly to my navel. I'm too embarrassed to admit how much money I spent and ended up getting only one thing in three shipments. Man, that was an expensive pair of black jeans -- and they ended up faded after about five wash loads.
I just got my fourth Fix and once again it is terrible. Every time I get a stitch fix delivered they send clothes that don't look like me at all. I have given them four tries. Sorry guys I'm done. I've tried to tell you what I want, but you don't listen.
I was very excited when I heard about this website, what is not to like, you answer questions about your taste, tell them a price range and a personal shopper sends you 5 outfits. I scheduled my first fix and when it arrived opened it with excitement. I was disappointed to find a horrid bag, and 3 blouses that I would never wear. I kept a pair of red jeans that I liked but prices above what I normally would have paid. They say your second fix will be better so I scheduled again, making it clear that I did not want any blouses without collars. Well guess what they sent me 3 blouses without collars, a cheep looking dress and an expensive necklace. What bothered me is nothing in my box either time was under $60. I made it very clear that I wanted lower prices. The quality of the blouses were Target level and should have cost less than $20. I will not schedule another fix even though I love the concept and wish so much that it would have worked.
I tried three boxes from stitch fix, this was over, priced, Walmart, wardrobe, not even close to what I was requesting. It was a lot of clothes for older people, and I specifically was looking for a wardrobe for work. These were all low quality items and each time you're writing a detailed review about what you need but I don't know if anyone is reading it.
Tip for consumers:
I’m a 20 something year-old work in female, I kept reiterating that I was looking for work wardrobe. All they kept sending me was outfits fit for a much older group of women, looked like it was straight out of Walmart.

Nun based on the quality and what I had requested, I sent everything back didn’t even consider it
Styles I received in my first box was really off and not what I would wear. I selected that "I'm open to luxe" option but I received unknown private label outdated styles. Something probably I would see at Target lol Stretchy pants that doesn't have zip or button closure... Accessory was really cheaply made. I felt styling was really off but I think overall service was good. You have option to get one time or subscribe. Shipping is on time and return was easy. After I returned all items, they offered me to try another box for free, If I were not traveling to Europe I would have tried one more time! (They only give you a few days option)
I've been using Stitch Fix for a few years and at first I liked it. I was receiving some really cute good quality clothes that were reasonably priced. It also seemed as if the stylists were better a few years ago too and more in tune with their clients. Now, it appears to me as if their so called stylists just throws some junk into a box and sends it off. The clothes that I have received recently were ugly, very poor quality and way over priced. They're sending Walmart clothes at Nordstrom prices. I've been sending back most of the pieces I've received. I do not recommend.
** UPDATE** I received a one time exchange for my jacket from Stitch Fix, so I would give them a half a start for that. Not a whole star, because I had to jump through hoops, I think the photo says it all. I dunno how I could've possibly did anything to this jacket for it to start shedding fibers. I can't be the only one that bought this jacket and had this happen.
I bought this awesome $70 jacket in Sept. Well, the darn thing is literally shedding fibers from the seams. I was told they only guarantee for 30 days. WOW. Guess they really don't care about the quality of their clothes after 30 days. The funny, not so funny part is that I'm in Phoenix and haven't worn it much, in fact I've only washed it 3 times. Anyone else have an issue like this? I even asked them to send me a used one that isn't shedding and I'd return this one.
Tip for consumers:
Short Story is awesome, if you're a shorty like me. My newest addiction is Thred Up.

I love my shirt and sweater, well I love the. jacket too. Just too $, especially if I'm not getting quality clothes. Or clothes that will last more than 6 months.
