I'm not sure how expensive it is, but IXL is a fantastic service that offers courses for Mathematics as well as Reading and English. Unlike Study Island, it has easily understandable explanations to missed problems, as well as a scoring system that won't make your child(ren) want to bang their head(s) against the keyboard.

No, answers are not proof read. The site also marks correct answers as incorrect on occasion to force students out of mastery. It is not currently possible to test out of all parts of a unit, the site always marks at least one "incorrect"
