on 4/12/16I ordered 3 items. I'm normally an 8 M so ordered L. 2 items fit great 1 was too small. I ordered an XL & it still didn't fit. They will exchange or refund but could make it a lot more obvious how to return but otherwise I'm very happy with my purchases. I believe the different designers have different sizes. I believe this site is more like a mall with different shops, not one store. People shouldnt get so angry about not using American sizes. American sizing is larger than any where in the world. Even in American sewing patterns I'm a 14 that gives you an idea of how off American clothes are
Do not look at the sizes S L and XL. Look at the measurements. Bust size, etc. The S L and XL do not match american size chart.
Keep in mind that the sizes are not for typical American (in my case) bodies. If the item of clothing is not particularly fitted, I would go up a size or two. Carefully check the measurements posted for each item. I bought a tunic-style dress one size up and it fits wonderfully. I ordered a one size fits all sweater which was too small - especially because I am not a midriff-baring type. I have also ordered a second dress that did not fit and a blouse which I exchanged for another size up. I had absolutely no problems with returns or exchanges. Very prompt correspondence, refunds, and exchange. I guess I am one of the lucky ones.
Size is not the only difference. Proportions are different, too, so you'd need to read the measurements for each item. I've seen some dresses sized for a 33-inch bust and 31-inch waist. Hip size is rarely listed.
Beware ordering from them. There's no customer service and lots of problems with this company. I wear a size 5 and ordered a medium I couldn't even come close to even trying it on it was so small. When I tried to contact them... long story but I got nowhere until I posted a negative review on this site then they contacted me and I returned the dress and got a refund. You'll notice there's no phone number to contact customer service and they ignore you. It was a nightmare and I really loved the dress if it were just about 4 sizes larger it might have fit me.
The designers are Asian and size for Asian women, who are typically much more petite than American women. But if you pay *close* attention to their sizing chart and, of course, measure yourself as well, you'll be fine.
I'm typically a 10-12, or a large, and had to order an XXL dress, which fits me perfectly.
The sizes I experienced were absurdly small. Maybe two sizes up!
I think their size chart are for Chinese women who tend to be smaller than Americans. If you are a size 12 you would have to order xxxxl for it to fit. They don't have that size. Too bad because the styles are cute. Quslity is ehat you would expect for the price.
Their size are much smaller than their chart and inconsistent and no matter what it's a hassle for return. My suggestion is don't order from them
The sizes are close to their size chart - I would assume a tiny bit smaller if you want to avoid having to return/exchange! Their US size approximations may be close to some US brands (that I apparently don't shop at) - but are much smaller than AT/BR, for example. I would suggest you look at the measurements and be conservative.
Don't purchase! The sizes are terrible as is the material and quality. You will NEVER receive a refund deapite reaturning the item and the company will only offer you a refund once you DELETE your negative review.
The sizes seem to run a tad bit smaller than US sizes. I would suggest going up one size to ensure they fit when you get them. If you check the sizing chart that should help.
Some of our items run one size smaller, so it will be better to choose bigger size. Every time when you click the size "S, M, L"etcit will show the corresponding detailed measurements for the specific size. Then you can check. You need to refer to the item Product Details to see the exact measurements first and choose the corresponding size (S, M, L, etc). The size guide is just a reference for all the items, which is not as accurate as the info of product details.
I agree with the others saying forget about sizes and ordering... do not order. It Is not worth it. If you STILL will not listen and end up placing an order... DONT. Haha seriously though... the M on the dress I odered was huge on the bottom and the top but the waist would even fit over my thigh. Just save time and find dresses stateside.
It depends upon how the dress is made and your proportions. I am 5'4" but have a longer torso and broader shoulders than some my size. So I focus on the cut of the dress, especially the width of the shoulders. So you have to know what you need. Some styles will require a larger size and others wont.
Look really carefully at the measurements in inches for each size, because not only are sizes different from American ones, each Stylewe designer uses their own sizing and measurements. I am a size 4 in dresses and I have bought size Large from Stylewe. The clothes are beautiful and well-made but you do have to be careful that some items seem to be cut for Asian proportions (smaller, shorter in the body) than Americans might expect. Just look at the measurements - and measure yourself accurately - before you choose to buy something, and you will be ok!
Yolanda, check out the size chart; however that's hit or miss. In all actuality, these items are Asian focused. I once ordered a sweater and it was small enough to fit an 8 year old. I wear a 12.
Im a size 6 and i took medium
The sizes are not us sizes, I have order several times i'm no size 2 or 8, its very easy to check the size chart, I'm size 10-12 and I have order L and XL. With no problems at all... I really don't understand why others haven't simply check the size chart yes I have looked at items i liked checked the size large to see it fits a US size 4 GUESS what that item anit made for me. And I continue to shop.
Check the measurement next to the item you are interested in. There are different designers and they seem to have slightly different measurements. I order two mediums and a large. The large was too small. It was fitted and the others were not. So check the measurements carefully
I am not too sure. I only order one time for three of them. One size is bigger the other is smaller. I am not very experienced with them I heard they came from different designer.
I say the lack of customer service is more of a concern than the size-however, I followed their exact size specifications (each outfit is different, so you need to look at what they say the measurements are,) and still ended up wrong-in this case, with one size too big.
Sizes are SUPER SUPER SUPER SMALL.
I normally wear a 12 and the XL Was nowhere near fitting It was absolutely way too small
I checked a lot of dresses and found that there were many different size charts - the one I ended up ordering - I did not order up and it fit perfectly just based on the size chart that was available for that dress.
The size of the dress I ordered was true to size.
Go up for sizes. So I am 6 in USA but based on their guidelines for us size I still take us 8-10. That fits perfectly
The sizes are NOT American sizes. They are VERY small. I ordered 5 dresses in XL or size 12 ( I fit a normal 10 US) and they were all small, I could only fit one and it tore as soon as I put it on.
The size of the two dresses we ordered were fine, no problem with the sizes.
Yes all the size are normal american sizes.
Forget about the size. Forget about ordering. Do not order. You will regret it.
