I have also been victimized. I don't remember seing a $150 1-time membership fee notice anywhere. I went to Vegas last memorial weekend, purchasng a $40 perfume & my credit card got decline I was rippedof $150 + 2 bid cards of $29.01 each. My fiancee was so furious having to find out that swipebids charged my card that much.

I called Swipebids' 1800 no. The lady named Cora (ID no. 790) told me that I have to wait for 30 days & finish up all my bids & if I still don't win anything, that's when I can start to claim for a refund.

I also filed a complaint with the BBB but it showed that they previously had 18 complaints without any solution or a proper reply from Swipebids.com.

I don't know how to get back at that Swipebids.com scammers. If anyone has a better solution to this, let's all unite until we get our hard-earned $$$ back & stop this company from victimizing more people.

They're NOT supposed to charge your card in advance at all according to the site's Terms & Conditions link at the bottom of the page:

I have been seeing suggestions from people that have been scammed by swipebids to make copies of the many complaints posted about swipebids swiping their money and take them to their banks or credit card companies. I think that is a great idea and could have some good results. I was scammed by swipebids two months ago now and still can not get satisfactory answers from Visa that I chose to use as CC information I placed in the swipebids sign up page. I have told them of the 100s or even 1000s of complains from people i have read reporting this same scammer but they refuse to summit it to any fraud investigation. I would really like to hear from anyone who has been told that swipebids is under investigation by their banks or CC companies. I have also started a discussion group if anyone would like to leave a comment or information of active fraud investigations@

What does Sandy mean when he or she says, "NO WIERD charges"? Were you not charged 150.00 to bid? And, what did you win, more bids? Perhaps you are affiliated with swipebids. It is possible they allow a select few to receive merchandise, maybe not even charging them up front, so they can prove they are legitimate and wonderful people. There's always a way to keep scamming. If scammin didn't make people money, they would not do it, thus would not end up on a ratings site with overwhelming negative reviews.
As long as they can show a disclaimer, no matter how tiny and obscure, and as long as credit card companies and banks keep paying them for ripping people off, they will continue. A good credit card company would kick that charge out for their customer and refuse to pay swipebids.
I know this works. I used to work for a telemarketing scheme. I quit when I found out what they were really doing to people. Investment diamonds. Yeah.

And if you do any googleing at all you'll see that these guys who protest against SwipeBids are both arguing with each other and at the same time trying to find a way to get as much cash in a settlement as possible.

What they are clearly doing is trying to make a lot of money off you guys being pissed off at SwipeBids and their strategy will not help you. It's just going to make them rich.

If you have any doubt about that just look at ScamRaiders and read how all of them have gotten their money refunded and how they try to build up a following, and intimidate those who don't fall into line.

I only did SwipeBids for a couple weeks and I won and got my $#*!, then I stopped so I have no idea if they were running a scam.

What I do know is that these dudes are trying to make money for themselves off this thing and the odds of anyone making money other than them is zero.

You'll see this if you google at all and see how terrified they are when someone tries to bring in a lawyer to help them - they then try to bully the person away.

Wow... it should be common knowledge to research about a site that is just too good to be true. Actually, you should research everything online if you are going to fork over any form of payment.
- I'm sure none of you have tried this but on that SWIPEBIDS.com website - keep a close eye on the countdown timers on the bids displayed. Did you notice that someone won an action? Great. Now remember that name and press REFRESH. Ahhh... that person is bidding again for the same item and the counter just reset to the same amount of time that the page initially started at. I can't believe this scam site even designed a website like this. It should be random or better yet items as they are won should disappear from the site if and only if you refresh the website (so that it looks like they left to allow room for new items for auction). Research people... research first but don't rely on just one website when you do. There are a lot of great websites that are legit which look for sites like this one.

Like David J. Said. If a site is asking for a cc number, STOP. Don't enter it. Don't Paypal. Do your research first.
A General Rule: If it looks too good to be true it is likely a scam. I saw swipebids and did research. I will not sign up with it. Too many bad reviews.
Now that said, read between the lined of these reviews. In general, people will be truthful when they have been scammed. The converse is not true. Sure you might encounter some glowing postive posts like those of Sandy C. (who btw seems to repeatly post the same comment) I have found many scam sites will seed reviews like this one with pro-site review posts (like that of Sandy C. Which will be vague and push too much positive "oh its wonderful" but not tell you why. So Sandy... what exactly did you win? How much did it cost? And when questioned, why change the tone of your post from positive to defensive with a degradation in language? (these dudes? Got my $#*!?) You only had 1 purchase, on 1 bid, does that really quantify validity for such a positive review? How can anyone really believe you aren't affiliated, work for, or were paid off by swipebids!)

Re-read the posts... Sounds too fishy.

File complaints if you have been ripped off. Stay away if you are doing research. Thanks to the posts on this site, I will NEVER use swipebids.

If this sort of thing is allowed to continue, how much longer will it take for other groups to adopt this method to raise funds for illegal activities or even, God forbid, terrorist groups to fund training camps and assorted missions throughout the world? Refund no refund they keep the money for their sonsto g to ripping schools

I just helped someone get their $159.00 back from the initial charge SUCCESSFULLY from Swipebids.com, now SwipeAuctions.com. If you do not follow their exact process, you won't get your money. And once you submit the request, you have to make a follow up live chat to them after 2 weeks before they will process the actual refund. Another way they can keep your money if you are not on your toes.

Here is what I did, filled out the entire printed money back guarantee, and sent it return receipt requested to the Aurora, Colorado address. It was signed for on 9/16. I did not realize I had to make the follow up call until today, they processed the refund today when I called. All he is out now is the $1.27 international banking free, and the $5.54 for the return receipt requested. And the 4 hours of my time to talk to the bank on our end, who wanted to close the account and have us file a police report, fill out all of the paperwork, and go mail it.

Word of advice, start the refund request immediately, they only give you a certain length of time to apply for the refund, or they keep the money,
