Made a purchase on 6-24-20, waited 6 weeks, no response from Sylvane. I sent an email requesting information on my order, after checking a couple days later, they canceled my order. Their excuse was that I ordered it 6 weeks ago? What? My expected delivery was 8-27-20, I was ok with that. They said I can reorder it and expect delivery near the end of August? 8-27 Is Near the end of August? Now they have almost $1,000.00 of mine and are asking me to spend an additional $1,000.00 to have a unit delivered around the same time my original order was supposed to be delivered? They claim I will get my refund on the original order in 1-3 business days. I am confused why they don't just fulfill our original agreement. It still says on their website that the unit is "in stock" usually delivers in 4-6 weeks?

Sylvane's website lists in-stock where they can guarantee expedited shipping. Other websites could not guarantee delivery on time (like maybe they list 3rd party items?) A good outdoor heater for sheltered area from the wind. You can feel the warmth about 3 feet away but is probably not significant enough in a windy situation. We even use it non-oscillating in a large bathroom during the winter as the silent heat is calming. Easy to assemble base, handle doesn't get hot. You have to be careful about keeping items away if oscillating, but ok if not oscillating. Oscillation only swivels about 90 degrees.
I bought 3 exhaust dual fans to exhaust the extra heat in my heater boiler room on my first floor, into the crawl space in my basement area and it all works extremely well. The personal taking the order explained how the fans are designed to work when I ordered them, and they work as described and they are doing their job quite well I has been a pleasure working with staff taking the orders. $#*! Used it once - belt broke - the ONLY thing not covered in the warranty. Repair at my cost - use it twice - belt blew. I had to junk it after nearly $600.00 and it now sits in my basement gathering dust. We bought another Miele which is over a grand. AT LEAST IT WORKS. Will never deal with Sylvane again.
What a terrible company. I ordered a $1,000 air purifier. The page led me to believe these items were in stock. The ordered was placed on December 26th. As of 1/28/2022 I have not heard boo or hiss although they took my funds on the date of the order. Contacting them today, they told me oh, that item is being direct shipped from the manufacture. Had I know the item was not in stock. I was told to check with the manufacture. BAH what a worthless company. Hell would freeze over before I bought anything from them again.

A constant bombardment of texts signaling the imminent item delivery that never happens.
Irresponsive telephone customer service, vague unhelpful email customer service.
Sylvane's response to my review is to note that I have talked to them a couple of times and they hope I have found the unit I need... As if this is any kind of help. Sylvane's customer service reps have refused to make this right. I bought an $1100 unit with heat pump when I could have bought a $5-600 unit without heat pump. They won't admit that their advice to buy the unit with heat pump was bad advice in light of my northeast location. Shame on you, Sylvane.
I purchased an Aprilaire Dehumidifier from Sylvane that came with a 5 year warranty. It was "bstock" that supposedly had only cosmetic damage. Their site states that such units are in perfect operating condition and come with the full manufacturers warranty, 5 years in this case. I was suspicious of it but Sylvane convinced me the unit was operating properly. After about 2 years it started icing up and shutting down. I found that an impact prior to my purchase had knocked the compressor out of line and must have caused a minor refrigerant leak. I contacted Aprilaire who were prepared to replace the unit, but when they checked their records they found Sylvane had already claimed the warranty on this unit so Aprilaire will not warranty it. Sylvane refuses to do anything.

They make you pay for the returns. My return is going to cost me 85.00 if I wait a week to send it or 700.00 if I sent it back today. It was a Eyevac trash can. It's ridiculously they do not send a tag to send it back.

This unit the winix air filter is clearly a item that sylvane buys from China in bulk for half & or 1/3 the price ($20) & they drop shipping this item for more than the manufacturers charge it's customers ($175) The huge Red flag is not having the manufacturers Manuel in the box. Not even a 2yr warranty form is provided as the listing states & just a single small brochure that looks to be like someone printed it from a home printer, folded it into forth & put it in the box. Do NOT buy any items from Sylvane they only want to rip you off with a 900% mark up for a very poor Quality item. They will also give you a hard time when you want to get a Refund & have you pay to ship their poor Quality item back to them. Any other legitimate company would just send a Refund/Return label at no expense to it's customers. Another red flag.
Tip for consumers:
Sylvane should be ashamed of them selfs for clearly selling a poor quality knock off fake item from China and attempting to sell it as a legitimate winix air filter. This should be investigated by FTC/FCC immediately.

Winix air filter I purchased from a different company and received the actual manufacturers Manuels that is thick as a book & what a real manufacturing Manuel should look like. Also received the 2year warranty certificate with form as it should be with all legit companies. Sylvane failed to provide either of these documents with its items. Should be against the FTC/ FCC laws to not provide these documents to customers.
After waiting over a month, I was informed when I called s Sylvane Representative that my order was out of stock and they had absolutely no clue as to when it would be delivered. It was in stock when I made the purchase. I ended up canceling my order. Why would a company sell you an item with no clue as to its delivery? I will be doing my buseness with a more ethical company.
My family and I are clearing out my childhood home for sale, but the only vacuum— a Shark— is useless. I put an order in for the Miele C3 Brilliant and paid for next day shipping only to get an email from Sylvane that the order was canceled... no explanation. I called to find out what happened only to be told that it was flagged as fraud. Fine. I tell the assistant we're desperate for the vacuum and he ( Devin Carswell) assures me I will get the vacuum, giving me a 5% discount for my trouble. The following day, just as I'm expecting delivery, another email comes through cancelling the order with no explanation. Telephone again to be told again that it was flagged as fraud! I've finally just done what I should have done in the first place: ordered from Amazon and it's coming next week. Pathetic way to treat new customers who would have been loyal had the order been honored!
Both our fans went out within 2 days. I ran to the local hardware store for a replacement fan in a panic to assure "poopie-do" gets a good night's sleep. The second fan, I wanted to try a "Vornado."
I shopped online using the google product search engine and found a bunch of stores had the fan with prices varying about $35. As usual, Amazon was listed as the best price.
Looking closely at the results, I found Sylvane.com actually had the best price, but not quite the number of reviews. After checking-out the site's credentials, using SJ and SJ learned techniques, I decided to give sylvane.com a try.
They have a wide selection of air conditioning products like dehumidifiers, heaters, A/C units, filters, purifiers, fans, etc... And they have good prices with free shipping.
They processed and shipped my order promptly and provided good communication. I highly recommend this site.
I received a call back in a couple hours and the technician was very helpful & knowledgeable although I had already got the unit operating.

I ordered a dehumidifier to the tune of $365. It was a unit with an automatic drain pump. The attachment on the tubing arrived broken, so I was unable to connect the drain hose. Y ou can not get anyone on the phone, only recordings. They ask you to leave your number, stating that they will call you back. They don't. I have e-mailed several times also. I got a response by someone finally... they said they would send out a replacement part. Later, I got a response saying they don't send out replacement parts and that the whole unit would have to be returned and would I be aggreable to that. They said if I agreed they would contact FedEx to come pick it up. I agreed and asked when FedEx would be picking it up. I have not heard from them since. I have worked so hard on this. It is so time consuming and frustrating. I will never order anything from them again. Meanwhile, they have my money and I have a dehumidifier that I can't run. What is the world coming to anyway?
Sylvane charged us for shipping and we made the purchase based on their shipping costs. Then, a few weeks after we receive a bill from Fedex for $168! And we had already paid Sylvane for shipping... so what did they use our money for that they claimed was shipping? Obviously it wasn't. We contacted Sylvane and they apologized and said they contacted Fedex to have the bill appropriately placed on their business account. They didn't. They told us this two different times and we keep receiving bills from Fedex and it will begin impacting our credit score so we had to just pay them, now we are out almost $200 plus the money we gave to Sylvane for "shipping". Horrible all around, but really bad that they can just lie about something like this when it affects someone's credit score and life! Good thing I followed up with Fedex or else I would have believed Sylvane when they said it was taken care of and then my credit score would have been impacted. For the record, Fedex told us there was no attempts made from Sylvane to contact them or pay this bill - blatant lies from Sylvane. Do not trust them.
