on 5/3/16Be careful with this company. They post 1000s of fake reviews to hide the real ones. Note that they do not post their phone number or address on the website. I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this
They are crap. They write you a quick resume that's a cookie cutter. It's not unique and it's not even that great. I put out numerous resumes of which they did for me and got no replies from anyone. I went back to using my original one. I had to go through BBB to get a refund since they would not reply to any of my e-mails.
My resume was a Statistic/Math resume, and they did a terrible job. It seems that a high school poet was writing it.
It seems TopResume.com fake a lot of their reviews. Dont waste your money there.
I paid the full most complete/expensive service and was a Fraud.
I agree that this company is a scam. They just put your resume in a fancy/out-dated template. They don't adjust the wording and their guarantee is fake. I didn't get a single call back with their resume, so I asked for a rewrite. It was like pulling teeth to get a response and they just put it in a new template. It's a complete waste of money. The cover letter was as general as possible. I think they just update the template with your name.
I received the resume, It was full of flamboyant words. The only part that made any since was what they copied from my current resume. I let other people in my field look at my resume and the one topresume prepared, they all agreed that the resume topresume prepared looked fake, lies. I am a blue collar worker. My opinion how can some one that does not know the trade that you work in write a resume. I asked for a full refund they said no. The only company I have ever done business with that will not give you a refund is your not happy with there work. Stay away from these people
Some of the wording is a little funky for my engeneering / military background, so I tweeked it just a little bit. The resume i worte did not get me past the filters at all, but now I have so many headhunters and employers beating down my door that I have started referring them to my friends. I know it's a lot of money but it's worth it. I had them do my linked in profile too. I'm always getting cntacted, and I haven't worked in two years. Love my new job!
I had my resume done by them about a year ago. Typically companies like this do not know the engineering business so the resume you get is not what you expect. I think I received what I wanted but you only get one chance for a revision. I made sure I looked at the preliminary and marked it up. I know I have revised my resume several times to redo some of the terminology. I spent 50.00 and it was worth it to me. I don't know if they are a scam or not. I thought they had two chances to revise it.
I am an recently graduated engineer and I had my doubts too. And while the returned documents weren't as completely overhauled as I would've liked, it does not change the fact that I did receive my first screening and interview after using TopResume. Its hard to be an online business with reviews to be complete scam. So take that as you will.
I have had mine done in the last 6 months for my field of C - Store Training Supervisor.
A. It took less time than advertised
B. I contacted my service writer 3 time and received positive, quick responses
C. I am critical regarding attention to detail in my profession and they did a great job in my opinion
D. The new format that was used got me in the door. The rest was easy for me.
I would recommend this business to anyone

I was happy with my resume. They do your resume based on the information you give them. Actually that's all they have to go on. I like the way my resume was worded, and they are more than willing to rework it if you're not happy with it. They did everything the way they said they would. Anyway, that's my experience with them. I suppose it all depends on whom they get to do your resume.
I was extremely pleased with my resume. Just like everybody, I had my doubts. While I do agree that some of the wording is almost the same as my old resume, they way in which it was written made the difference for me. I have been getting more and more emails and calls about job opportunities. I tend to ignore most the emails as I can see they are just cookie - cutter inquiries. I reply, get no response. As I write this, I have had the second of two voice mails from the same recruiter wanting to talk to me. I believe this would not have been possible had I not gone with this service. I got myself a resume and cover letter. I did have to change some of the wording and tech terms. But this resume is getting me results. It seems to be passing most of the ATS screening. Something that never happened with my old resume. God luck to you. BTW, I am real.
I, too, am a real person who paid to have my resume redone. I think they did a fantastic job with the information that I provided them. Their initial feedback on my original resume was spot on, and they were able to make changes to my resume to match their original recommendations. I am a Network Engineer, and had numerous interviews after having my resume updated. Landed a perfect job with the assistance of my new, re-tooled resume. I highly recommend them.
I am a real person who paid to have their resume redone, and I was extremely pleased with the end result and all of the comments/suggestions. I also thought the pricing was great. I found the person I worked with to be extremely helpful and responsive, so I'm am not sure what happened with some others who have used them.
